Players nowadays have a lack of respect for their Viking teammates.

And just what's the matter with "pew pew pew" style of play?

I have a lot of respect for Viking users. And it's not because I'm a Viking loyalist. Look at all the nonsense it has to deal with:

·Instability issues coupled with its size.

·Cannot shoot over teammates, must find a gap to shoot through which is easier said than done.

·Longest OD charge time and short OD duration time.

I don't have much respect for hornet because of its OP ignore ability which lasts almost 3x as long and charges almost twice as fast and is just as effective and efficient.

I don't have much respect for hunter either but only because of its stability to size luxury.

All hulls are fine and anyone is welcome to use any. Ive always been one to steer away from things that everyone else is doing. At my rank 75% of ppl use viking/hunter. Used to just be viking but hunters OD makes up for it.

Every time I use viking it feels amazing. Fast and strong, best stats in the game...instability rarely feels like a problem....im used to wasp so ised to dealing with that

Nothing is wrong. I just feel like it's a very basic damage boost ability that instantly grabs everyone's attention because "wow, damage, shoot fast, yay". Of course there is skill involved in using it (arguably more skill than multiple other ODs), but that's just the feeling I get from it. Also it feels like a bit of a "tryhard" hull that everyone uses when they're, well, trying hard to win.

It seems kind of overpowered but as you said it does require a lot of skill and experience to use properly.

Lets take an unprofessional player like me, using viking I encounter a 1-1 with a shaft player. I will use my OD only to kill that shaft and the rest 7 players will be unharmed.

As far as a professional player is concerned, it can maximum gain attention of 3 players, per OD.

Now lets consider titan, a complete dome that shields your own teams player and use with a long range weapon can literally gain everybodys attention.

Wasp can deal damage to at least 4 players when used right.

The list goes on and on. In basic conclusion, if you see me eith a viking in the apposite team as you? Fear not.

It's not just Viking. I spend lots of games sneaking around maps and getting into good sniping spots with Hornet/Smokey. Along comes some dumbass Mam/Mag and just pushes me out of the way/off a cliff/into enemy fire because it's "his" spot!

Sometimes I see titans in top 3 places. Never a wasp. Almost always top place is viking.

I think thats got to be some sort of indicator as to what the best hulls are. Vikings OD might be weaker arguably altho Id say its top4, but its base stats are the best. Strong to engage on front lines and fast enough to cap flags.

But we both can agree on one thing, viking maybe OP but its unstable maneuvering and balance hampers it to sit still and camp at one place. It does not have the ability to resist other tanks pushing it which is something that does not put viking at any loss.

The Wasps I see on top are the ones capturing flags and Rugby balls, or getting lucky with their bombs. That requires them to be more aggressive and drop their bombs around more enemies, hoping that they aren't disabled or countered. And the more kills you get with the bomb, the more bombs you'll drop in the battle.

I wonder how things would be if Wasp got Hornet's Overdrive and vice versa when they were released.

Id love wasp to have hornets OD. Right now the bomb is probly the most noob OD. Idk its ok in some places, but usually requires the wasp dying.

Dont use a fast hull like viking to camp. For any turrets that you use actively to play the game, ive never found the weight to be a problem

Yes but the discussion here seems to be about viking not being able to resist other tanks pushing it. ^_^

Oh god please no. It's a lot harder to hit the wasp from the side. But also it can over Viking and hornet. Plus the rock ability is better there.

I only camp with Viking if my turret is a splash turret like thunder, magnum, Gauss, striker. I'm only ok with its weight if I'm camping, otherwise I hate it.

As someone who plays wasp and has bigger hulls slam into me regularly, I can relate but also say that viking is no different from any other hull
