MK8, MK9 and MK10 Modifications

Recommended Posts

I find it quite strange that modifications are to stop at MK7. However that makes proper sense with the current number of ranks there are in the game, so I accept that. Now, there are a total of 31 ranks in Tanki Online. By adding a few more ranks, it would open the doors for a new possibility to add a few more modifications like MK8, MK9 and MK10 modifications. Please add more modifications up to MK10 whenever possible. When the new MK modifications becomes available, all current equipment will need to be upgraded further than it is now.

Since the last four years that I have played Tanki Online, I have seen a lot of nerfing and nerfing of turrets and hulls which I absolutely hate, so as a good opportunity for a good buff comeback, it would make sense to have a few more ranks and a few more modifications, MK10 being the highest possible modification which will then be comparable to an M5 - M6 or something.

By the way, I really like the new MK modifications because they add more overall balance between ranks. I am a Legend player, so I am an MK7 modification player. My wish is that someday I would get all my equipment converted to MK10 when this update becomes possible.

Declined

The purpose of the modifications update was to spread out equipment stats and create more gradual progression through the upgrades. There have never been plans to add more powerful modifications on top of that (like old M4, M5, etc.), while having a whole 10 modifications in the same space as the previous 4 would be too much. Rounding 7 to 10 would be nice and all, but this will not happen.

The problem with adding new modifications is that it would be nice and all for the Legend rank players but it would be a huge disaster for the players who are still trying to level up. It would be a headache for the non buyers.

1) The prices will have to increase for each modifcation and players are already upset by how much equipment costs.

2) Parkour may become a thing of the past. Each new modifcation means adding more weight, damage and stuff to the hulls and turrets. Players are already getting their wasp tunred m0 for parkour. With the new m10s, parkour players might either leave or follow the trend of the time and buy the new M10s, because why should they compromise? It might be the end of the parkour mode.

Additionally, I believe that the reason m3 system was turned to m7 was to increase the number of modifications, reduce prices, and make it easier for the players at lower ranks.

Adding three more modifications might go contrary to the purpose of mk7 system.

These were just my opinions.

But if the concept of adding more modifcations was to highlight the fact that legend rank players need more stuff to do, then the goal was understandable.

I am not asking to add more modifications in between the current ones. What I am asking for is to add more modifications after MK7 (which was previously M3), so all turrets and hulls will get some extra power and buff, keeping the current level of distances between modifications the same as of now. In other words, there shall be no gaps like before just by adding MK8, MK9 and MK10 modifications after MK7.

I understood that, and I said in my post that it will not happen. It's pointless to add even more expensive tanks with higher stats, because it doesn't add anything to the gameplay. You'll literally just have the same situation as now, because more damaging turrets against more armoured hulls cancel each other out. Besides slightly greater speeds, there is no difference.
