Did Devs botch the conversion?  Yes - big time.  But it was a one-time thing.

It is not useful to try to implement a completely new system to correct a temporary issue that will soon correct itself.

 

Those that gained from this conversion will not rank up any time soon if they have a few accounts, because that's the aim of a multi-account player. Most well known way to play this game is to have a few accounts with varying equipments on each & play for easier missions on each account daily. Also taking advantage of gold event days or Wars to max out cry intake for minimal exp earned.

There's a whole bunch of lucky guys out there with massively OP-for-their-rank gear that are mostly playing on their main accs while their alt accounts are either dormant & waiting to obliterate new players during events...or, playing for missions in a couple of battles a day on each account. It'll take ages for those accounts to rank up.

The amount of exposure new players get to these OP multi-acc guys depends on how many there are. Tanki is a 10+year old game now, even high ranks that had no interest in multi-accounting when they started might have started new accounts. Also, there's returning players to consider.

I expect people will be complaining about this for a couple of years.

If they are playing they are ranking up.  If they are not ranking up, they are not playing much.  The two are inclusive - you can't do one without the other.

Either way regular players won't see them for long - unless the regular players are grinding (and keeping up).  Their choice to do that.

Amazing chain of logic in the new vlog(250).

Many ppl have railgun and thunder protection, this ruins the fun of playing these turrets. So all alterations will be removed from the garage and put into ultra containers.

Yes! Just watched the vlog and was like what? Why bother mentioning all the protection modules and then suddenly jump to alterations, and especially turret ones which have been in the game a long time so most people who want them have them.

I wonder how many casual players or beginners realize this . To keep up your ranking at the very top, you need to play only on special events like with 2x funds.

yeah, playing on me @yellowghetto2 account, it is really hard to keep up with all the druggers + premium users in battle.

Can someone please clear up to me how the Immunity Alterations to Hunter are "alterations?" Like, what does it trade off? Or is it just an ability? I haven't kept up with news so can someone please clarify?

It's an ability. Perhaps "alteration" in this case means switching the plates on the tank to more heat/cold/stun resistant ones.

Speaking about alterations, it would be very ideal if Wasp could sport an alteration that would double its armor plates, keeping all its other parameters the same as of now.

By the looks of things, the only way that the game can survive now is if seymon strizak steps down from his role as lead developer and just be a developer while a fresh mind takes the lead developer role.

 

Only then will the game have a chance.

Bruh, then why even call it an alteration if it breaks their own system? XD Also, it kinda explains why an alteration on a turret increased your Gear Score.

And you do realize that we don't take him very seriously most of the time, right?

 

But I'm more willing to take him seriously than I am of the devs nowadays.

 

Compared to what kind of crap the devs have implemented into the game in the last year, I find his suggestions to be quite reasonable.
