Hi,

@Maf can i just ask how all of this even works? who decides that things are changed and reviewed i mean like you are moderators not devs so how are you gonna know?

and how can you decide if something can or cant happen?

I'm just really curious to understand how this all works

Only mods with the most gameplay experience are allowed to work in the I&S section. We use our knowledge of game mechanics and the development process to logically judge whether or not a suggestion is viable. Most of the time we make our own decisions regarding the idea's status, and we only decline ideas if they violate section rules, or we are sure that they go against the general direction in which the game is being developed.

Sometimes we do make mistakes, which is why all ideas are up for debate. If you disagree with our decision to mark any idea valid or declined, you can ping us in the topic and justify your reasoning. Sometimes we do end up changing the status.
By this logic we also approve our own ideas, because our expertise should mean that we know that what we're suggesting fits all the criteria of a valid idea. In case our decision is biased, you can argue about it in the topic like any other idea.

Occasionally we will take time to get information about an idea from other sources, like the CM or a developer (usually Hazel Rah). A lot of the reasons we use to decline ideas also come from past livestreams, where devs said that they do or do not plan to add certain features. Sometimes devs contradict their own decisions a few months later, so that makes it harder for us ?

My idea to rebalance and change how protection modules work must be really advanced if it's taking almost two weeks to be published.

We're currently re-working the process of approving topics. Most likely we will make it so that ALL topics are published or merged within 24 hours (but hopefully much sooner), so if we don't have time to come up with a decision or find a duplicate topic in that time, we will put the topic "under review", publish it, and come to a conclusion regarding it at a later date.

Your topic is the kind of topic where we open it, get overwhelmed by information and can't decide what to do. So ideally it should have been published as under review a long time ago, which I will do right now. Sorry for inconvenience and thanks for waiting.

RFM should have it's sniper completely removed IMO.

agreed.

In a year, Uncle Hazel will probably add 2 new hull Augments. Damage Resistance, and Damage Immunity.

Can someone fill me in here. Have tanki changed the way that experience is calculated? Over the past month I seem to have been earning experience EXTREMELY quickly and I haven't been playing anymore than usual. Also, the xp on my profile is always more than crystals earnt, even though in every battle I am clearly earning more crystals than xp (due to hornet overdrive getting me to the top of the leaderboard). Also, my efficiency has dropped by 100 points.

This game just seems to have gone crazy to me. I can't keep up with all the updates anymore.

Context: I have been playing for about 7 years now, seen the game in its ups and downs and wanted to share some thoughts. Was F2P for about 6 years, playing on and off, recently invested about $20 to get my account competitive since I've been playing quite a bit in lockdown, but will not be buying any further after I get this hornet immunity in the current challenge. Will probably stop playing for good if any updates like the Gauss EMP continue to be implemented.

Inspired by @DageLV's comments:

"If people stopped paying for tanki bs and refused to accept what theyre doing, tanki would be forced to comply, or go bankrupt. Its a very powerful thing consumers have.
Decent games sell skins. Tanki sells victories. Thats the big difference."

Everything you said in this part of your post is facts, and I think the reason for Tanki releasing all these p2w friendly updates is a result of noticing a decline in paying players and as a result providing the remaining customers with more incentives to keep playing by providing game advantages only accessible through real money - see hull alterations, EMP gauss.

This part especially resonates because this is Tanki's business model. The developers are in too deep with the buyer only items that they can't remove them without losing a massive chunk of the payerbase and hence if new updates try to shift the revenue focus towards cosmetics, as with the hornet ultra skin release etc., then this will be nowhere near as appealing to the payerbase compared to buying immunities, OP drones or maxed equipment, since they have already provided opportunities to advantage yourself in battle by paying in the past.

I don't think there would be nearly as much backlash about p2w or bad updates if all content released by developers was also available through playing the game free and trading your time for the content instead of your money. This is why those super missions for XT skins were so beloved in the past and also the reason why I don't dislike the drone update as much as other people - drones can be acquired by playing the game and being smart with crystals. Of course the game is harder for free to play individuals, and maxed drones are probably the hardest equipment to attain whilst playing f2p, but why wouldn't you expect it to be - they want you to reimburse them for the fun you're having on their game - but they definitely crossed an uncrossable line with the introduction of payer only items.

Now, I don't know how they could fix this without angering the precious payerbase they try so hard to keep in the game. For me, making previously paywalled, game affecting equipment available for purchase with crystals would be the ultimate solution, but looking at the bigger picture this would definitely cause major complaints from buyers who invested their paid for tankoins in the same equipment.

That's all I have to say for now, feel free to share other opinions/perspectives on this topic.I want to have some rational discussion and not some people crying about "buyers ruin this game, remove buying and tanki good again" - at least, don't expect any response from me if you do.

I'm especially interested in any ideas people might have that could potentially reverse the direction the developers are heading without scaring off the majority of the payerbase since this seems like the ultimate conundrum when it comes to the sustainable future of this game.

"Payerbase" is highlighted to ease the distinction between payerbase and playerbase.

This is why I stopped playing. Because of crystals being pretty worthless except MUs/SUs. Not about the kits.

hmm. guys -i got the chiropractor kit waiting in my shop .should i get that or the sniper kit? pls reply quickly as its kinda a time -limited thing

Personally, I think Hunter > Viking in this current meta as it's more stable and OD charges much faster. However, it is really fun to stack up multikills with Viking OD, but you won't be doing much of that with Shaft as your turret anyway, so I'd go with Chiropractor.

Also, wrong topic, use this next time:

I’d say viking or dictater is more preferable, but since you are a hunter player go for it. Besides you were waiting for a shaft kit right? Buy the one available or you’d have to wait a long time for another shaft kit.

So far the most fun I've had coming back from a long time being gone is playing Wasp with RGC Magnum. It's like Wasp-Railgun, but you can hit people behind walls and kill them instantly with a direct hit. I'd like to see this become the next official PRO format battle.-

Is it just me or does "scout " need a nerf ? too many railguns in the field nowadays .in fact im starting to miss the hordes of gausses .

To me it's just one of those augments that make the turret and augment system appealing to spend on. There is no doubt that the new Scout is now more practical than Stock Railgun, but what can you do when that is more or less the purpose of augments.

To ease your pain, try to imagine that it is a Thunder. It has Thunder's firing rate and deals similar but higher damage. Upgrade your Railgun protection if you can because Mk2 Falcon will not give you any hope against Scouts unless you're a light hull.

yep i think i need a better protection against rail but the most annoying thing isn't the damage  .its the impact force .even with lc ,it's so hard to perfectly snipe a scout thats shooting at you .besides if your using a viking or hornet ,its gonna play rag -doll with you
