dude. I do. I only mean that to me it makes not much sense to force your already decreasing playerbase to play a certain version of the game that's still far from perfect. Wouldn't it be better to actually improve the way HTML5 feels and looks, by listening to players instead of making us have to log into HTML from time to time?

Flash is perfect?

Good luck my friend! I am also taking long zoom classes so I almost never play Tanki now.

Same here. I went from playing a lot to playing almost not at all. I log in once every two or three days just to play a few battles. I'm just becoming really busy as you all are.

I tried sticking to one turret and hull but I became too bored of playing with that combo. I then realised that variety was needed so what I do now is I have three main turrets and two main hulls which I always use. You become quite skilled with them all as three turrets isn't much and you don't need much skill to control a hull. I've stuck to three turrets for a while now and I'm still not bored because I always switch it up.

Honestly, I'd recommend drones when you reach Marshal. I bought my first drone on my RTL account at that rank. I haven't bought a single battery but by the time I got to Marshal, I had thousands of batteries because of challenges, containers and missions. It's hard to face Marshal - Legend players without a drone. About protection, I'd say that you shouldn't upgrade prots till you buy the highest modification of the protection module.

Getting MK6s at say colonel are brig are worth maxing out for 2 reasons-1 better protection and 2- free MK7s at marshal. I never max out any protection until MK5 and then only a certain few.

I remember upon Magnum's release, one direct hit could nearly one shot a medium hull.

Not much has changed. Magnum can still one shot medium hulls with DD.

For me, I think that one of the sole reasons why the game is is losing a lot of players is because the devs did not consider the in-game economy while adding the new updates. It all started when the paint seperation update was introduced, where all paints lost its value and became purely cosmetic. I don't disagree with this update because it did give players the opportunity to mix up the protection modules with different paints, but the update also ruined the game economy. The paints lost all of its value, as players saw no reason to buy them. Therefore, virtually all the garage paints were disregarded by the players, and as a result what was once one of the most useful things in the game became nothing at all.

Another update which may seem to have little impact to the game was the xt update. By that, I mean removing the ability to obtain XT turrets from the garage and daily missions, and only making it purchasable inside the shop, using real money. Maybe it seemed to the devs that they could make extra money from this, but instead it made the game economy much worse. A rare item is an object that seems to be easily obtainable through normal means, but is instead very difficult to get. The original XT system worked really well, because you were able to obtain the XTs through saving up crystals, or doing one of the hard missions, without spending a single penny. However, when the XT update came along, the XTs lost its value, because it was no longer obtainable by non-buyers (A majority of the game), therefore it became another useless thing that only buyers could get.

XTs used to be a symbol of hardwork, but is instead now a symbol of a buyer.

Then there is all the new challenges and waves of new paints. Players used to be able to memorise all the paint names, and even all their protections. Now, this is literally an impossible feat, because new paints are literally added every week. Many, many paints lost its uniqueness, not only because there is another paint that looks extremely similar, but also because there are too many paints to choose from. This made each paint become 'unique' itself, which made it lose its meaning as a paint. I don't think the devs knew that in order to have rarity, most things have to be common, and only very few can be rare. With all the new paints that were added, every paint became unique, because there simply isnt enough players for a specific paint to become common. Therefore, paints no longer show status and rarity, completely ruining this whole aspect of the game.

The Mk7 update was also extremely ill-planned. There were only 4 modification skins for each turret and hull, but since it was updated to 7, the different looks lost its meaning. 2 Mods now share the same skin, making it not special anymore to have a higher Modification in battle. The same goes with shot colours. It may seem fun to have all the different shot colours, but it would have been much better if the devs just left it alone, since it used to make each modification of the turret look unique.

TL&DR: The devs really ruined the game through poorly managing the game economy. Having a lot of something not only makes it all depreciate in value, but it also makes it less meaningful.

Very insightful and spot on.  Thank you for this post.

You can still get XTs as a free to play but it is not worth the time for one random skin. What it takes? At least 6 months of just playing Challenges. I had my XT skins back when they were easier to get. My Prime and Ultra skins were obtained for free for being a TX vet.

XTs were always symbols of buyers. Free players, in general, could not afford to spend crystals on refreshing missions in hopes of getting a super mission.

I would not agree on that specific example, it was probably planned all along, just not implemented at the time.

TO do not need to implement every idea from players. This one was a must do and an easy one to do. It did probably went up the prioritisation list when players complained about it though (easy win).

I always delayed buying it, and when I could it was too late, TO made it not possible to buy anymore ?

Agree with you about Paints,

I used to memorize most paints in the past, with their protections and MU's, also as I remember there was 2 or three paints that have 3 MAX protection from turrets, Zeus and Clay,

now I forgot a lot of paints also with their protections and a lot of paints lost their value ----- because they are ugly

like Clay - Prodigi, also in these days I didn't anymore focus in player's paints, I think I lost seeing some paints like Inferno - Emerald - Irbis, I really don't know if players play with it until now but I just didn't realize them

btw, this subject has a lot of opinions and it isn't a problem in real ,, because its normal thing

some of players want the game be 100% practical

like saying Oooh I want a three customizable modules and a paint as what I like,, oooh guys it's 100% practicaly and customizable.

no guys we play to enjoy, we don't the game to be practically 100%, no we just want the entertainment and happines

I don't see what is enjoyable about having to use a paint you don't like just because it offers protection that you need.
