Surely my point is fairly obvious, I am not denying Paladin is OP - yes that is clear. However what I am saying is that, 12v12 and 14v14 CTF battles are only playable if you use Paladin, without Paladin (or previously Hopper) these battles would be even worse than they are now, as it is basically impossible to capture without the current Paladin or the old Hopper.

What I would like to see, is a Paladin nerf, and the removal of 12v12 and 14v14 capture modes from MM. If Paladin is nerfed (but remains viable, not an over-nerf).

I would be glad to see that - but once Paladin is nerfed (and MM is not changed, because of course they won't) I will hate having to go back to playing TDM every 12v12/14v14 CTF/ASL/RGB match because it is almost impossible to capture. Right now, using Paladin, you can actually make scores reasonably often rather than 15 minutes of boring defence leading to 1-0 or 0-0 final score.

Dude I never realised but this is so true. I wasted many a battle in Berlin ending with a 0-0 draw. Those were the dark ages. Now hopper flips, but Paladin came to rescue us from eternal boredom waiting for someone to capture a flag in Berlin xD

For sure lol :P I am very thankful for Paladin when I draw one of these matches, 12v12 can be playable on some maps for a few different hulls, but 14v14 - only Paladins are capturing on either side, previously Hoppers. You can actually end the game before 15 minutes thanks to Paladin. However, once it is nerfed, might as well play TDM in those modes, trying to cap will make you pull your hair out lol. 14v14 CTF/RGB just does not work well in matchmaking  - only way to capture with other hulls is with good teamwork, and that can't be expected from random team mates.

I've been playing recently and surprisingly, I've been finding it fun. However, the faults of the game are still crystal clear. If you don't take anything serious and you just chill out a little, I feel like the game is more playable. Let's see how I feel as time goes on though. 

I must say, the game feels more action packed now compared to before. Depending on how you see it, it may be a good thing or a bad thing.

That's how I feel as well. It's really not as bad when it's all chill.

But when there are grindy Special Missions I am trying to complete, and I get trash MM, I get from chill to annoyed, to pissed off.

The current 16 days missions is offering a very good time in completing them. Any day you find yourself enthusiast to play, you can finish them.  But the Ultra weekends are the ones who force you to finish them in your weekend (2 or 3 days).

In almost every battle, 9999 players ruin the game.

I honestly sympathize those players when they realize they're giving their money to a dud game compared to what it once was.

It feels SO good to get a competent team where the members can actually work with each other. I've waited for it for a while but when it happened, it felt great.

At this point the only reasons I can think of is either their own stubbornness to accept reality or their gullibility. And that reality is that in 2021 heading into 2022, tanki is a shell of what it once was.

I mean come on, there once has as many as 100k players at any given time. Nowadays there's only like what 1500 players? Maybe 2000?

Why do you think all those players have left?

Part of the description for Paladin.

"As a supportive overdrive it requires teammates to work together."

AS IF.

Paladin with Freeze - wipe out half a team - by itself -  without copping a bead.

This is my favorite part.

"... all team members within a certain radius and makes them immune to enemy status effects. Enemy tanks in the radius receive the status effects "Armor-Piercing (AP)" and 'Jammer'."

So to be clear... is the Paladin itself immune to status effects when OD is activated?

A lot of players aren't giving their money but they're giving their time which is also what keeps the game going.

A lot of players are frustrated and they either leave the battle or start shouting in the chat.

It's frustrating when you spend time upgrading equipment to the maximum parameters and then the enemy wipes your tank out like its nothing. I can't keep up with all of the updates because there are so many but some 9999 players are so powerful it could wipe out an enemy team single-handedly.

I agree, I heard from another player besides you that two players both with 9999 gs doesn't mean they are of equal power. And I agree with that statement.

One player could have a not so powerful drone and not so powerful augment while the other has an OP drone and OP augment.

So its really still not a fair fight.

Well I'm done with CTF mode.

Tired of watching pumped-up Paladins cap at will, end battles on smaller maps in 3 or 4 minutes tops.  They are the new Hopper.

Will just keep changing those missions, even if it costs me crystals.

Just not worth the frustration.

Not just in attacking, if Paladins choose to lessen their aggression and egoism stopping the attacks starting the defense, you wont ever have a chance to take the flag or capture the ball, they will apply AP on you and guess what? you are in enemy base so you died in a seconds.   I don't have any AP Immunity except in my Titan, which I wont use it for capturing.

No amount of rewards is worth the frustration of playing this game. This game is truly stress inducing. Anyone who says otherwise is simply in denial.

I've stopped playing this game and since then have been feeling free from that prison. 

Not playing this game anymore was the best decision I have ever made in my life.

If you thought this game is stressful then you are kind of over reacting. There are other games that are way more stressful that makes tanki not look very stressful at all. If you really want to feel full on stress and pure rage you should play Warzone, Apex, and especially Rainbow 6 Siege. Those games in my opinion are the most stressful, toxic, and rage inducing in the gaming community. Tanki is nothing compared to these games.

Bruh has a point.

IMO the status effects have ruined the game more than anything. Well, aside from the OP-flavour-of-the-month that is.

Getting killed in 2 seconds because some players have AP augments or AP Overdrives makes the game unplayable. Respawning over and over and over and over again sucks the joy out of the game.

Not to mention that the missions are literally chores. The exp increase update pretty much cancels out whatever advantage you once get from completing missions daily.

You're pretty much better off just claiming shard containers and logging off for the day.

Its nice to know that you've dedicated your life to playing all these games. However, I don't get to have as many hours gaming as you've shown that you have. I only get a few hours tops. And with those few hours, I'd rather spend them on games that I DO enjoy playing.

The games you've listed are categorized as competitive. The thing with competitive games is that they're only good for brief fun. Meaning, they're only good for the first 15-20 minutes, maybe 30 minutes, depending on the person. After that, they'll get boring pretty quickly. They're not so good in the long run. And yes, players do tend to be toxic on these types of games simply because of their ego.

Tanki is in a horrible state right now and has been for almost two years now. Here is a list of updates or events that worsened the state of tanki online:

  • Mk conversion
  • Changing the price of almost all alterations to 245,000 crystals (then calling them augments)
  • Master sergeants playing against legends in MM (rank expansion update)
  • The HD skins
  • Remastering maps
  • Permanent removal of discount weekends
  • Hovering hulls
  • Tesla
  • Crisis drone
  • Permanent removal of the flash client
  • The "improved" anti-cheat system (I am seeing more hackers than ever now)
  • Rigging certain features of the game (coinboxes, MM, ultra containers, etc.) so the non-buying community has no chance

These are things the players were not asking for and these are things I hear the most complaining about the game. Players have been quitting left and right as tanki is making new and random updates which some are totally opposite of what the community wants. I was also telling players in a few of the lobby chats that 2022 is going to be the year that tanki will shut down for good because they will not be making enough money and all the players quit the game.

I however believe that tanki online can still be saved and I read what other players have to say. I know a lot of things tanki can do if they want the players to stop leaving and perhaps some players will return. I have suggested in the lobby many ways of how tanki can improve their game. The result of this is that I get banned a month for provocation.

Actually, the only thing that can save this game at this point is if the current developer team gets replaced by a better one who ACTUALLY listen to their players.
