Changes to Reinforced Gun Carriage Alteration

For the Magnum's Reinforced Gun Carriage Alteration, Instead of just turning horizontally, Hold the Fire Button to enter Artillery Mode.

SPG targeting

In Artillery Mode, The Player enters a Bird's Eye view which allows them to look at a limited area of any chosen part of the Map, Use Up, Down, Left and Right to move the Crosshair and release the Fire Button to Shoot.

The Line shows the Shell's Trajectory.

If the Line is Green, The Shell will fly without hitting an Obstacle.

If a part of the Line is Red, The Shell will hit the Obstacle on it's way.

This feature would be much too overpowered for tankers that use this alteration. The turret already does a huge portion of damage per shot, enough to one-shot lighter hulls. Giving this alteration the ability to open a sort of "GPS system" that allows the user to see targets from a much further distance would make this alteration completely unbalanced when compared to other turrets. Magnum is supposed to be a turret that requires a high skill level in order to use it effectively, and this alteration already lowers the amount of skill needed, this feature would make it even less skill-based. For these reasons, your idea is declined.

Depends on the magnum player. Most of them nowadays zero power their shots. Kinda sad that they resort to this IMO. Really need to nerf it's short ranged capabilities even more. We also need to consider buffing its long range capabilities.

 

Really pathetic when you use it as a long range turret and the result is just sad.

Only thing I'd buff is the splash damage distribution. And in addition to that, nerf RGC. RGC doesn't need to rely on splash damage when it can put itself in positions to get direct hits.
