If you are already at the rank for mk2 kits. I would wait for a nice kit to pop up in the shop. Usually, there is no use waiting for kits at low ranks as the 10 percent protections are next to useless. We just start mu as we get crystals.

Depends I guess - on whether you can fight back with mk1 stock.  Can't be that expensive to pump your mk1 up some while you wait for a kit.

Are you plannning on keeping any of your mk1s?  If so, slowly upgrade those while you wait for a kit to get a second combo.

I did that when I started my alt account - waiting for mk2 can't be that different from when I waited for previous version which was m1.

Not a bad idea..I'm almost at 10k so I guess that makes sense. I'm kinda fine with having worse stuff now so I can get better kits at he mk3-5 ranks where I'm guessing things slow down a lot more.

Im also not sure what to do. I am getting double funds from beginner pass, but I also know that going slower and letting missions build up my supplies is wise. SHould I push forward and take advantage of the 2x crystals or take it slow?

Another thing I'm quite angry about is has the modification update changed everything - it based your upgrade by the upgrades on the weapon, not the modification you used to have. I had a M2 Ricochet with 3-4 upgrades, and now it's Mk4. My brother had a M1 Ricochet with 10 upgrades, and it became M5 - I mean, mine was better until the update. So you are telling me that a recruit with a M0 fully upgrade would get a better turret then someone with a M2 with no upgrades? That's just absurd.

If you are doing well I would push on to take advantage of the 2x. But try not to use many supplies - unless it's to make a big difference (like capping a flag)

If you find you use a lot of supplies just to stay in mid-pack of battle-rewards, may not be worth it to push it while using up supplies. Doubling mediocre rewards tends to give you mediocre rewards.  2x100?  Good.   2x25?  meh.

Now, as for MU-ing... you'll have to decide if you still have time for that, or better to wait for better kits.  problem with kits is... they random and you don't have same choices we used to have.

Modification conversion has been done solely on the basis that the power of your equipment remains the same. So, if your M2 was more powerful then, it still will be more powerful after the conversion. Recheck the facts whether you did get an Mk4 while your brother got an Mk5.

According to the conversion table, M2 Ricochet would have been converted to Mk5, and an M2 Ricochet with 5 MUs would have been converted to Mk6

That's not how the conversion worked.  One of you mis-remembers what your previous stats actually were.

Actually. I've heard these kinds of things happen. I have to side with @foxer_XXX on this. This modification update should never have crossed the minds of the devs, let alone be implemented into this game.

The modification update was fairly pointless from the view of most players. Why not actually make the game more interesting like bringing other maps into MM and nerfing drones.

They did mess it up a bit - particularly on allowing mk6.10 to become mk7.1.

This may be true for some cases, but you are completely right. However, there are some who may not think this... But generally I would agree with you. Also if I lost my job for stating the truth then I would need to find a better job. One of the only reasons I stay active in this community is because I want to be a Helper... But it's useless if I'm ignored or contradicted by the Administrators and other Helpers all the time

We don't know that. We don't have the evidence that proves otherwise. All we have is their word.

 

So I'm going to be inclined to believe them.

 

And we have to admit it, the devs have been really breaking things since late 2018.

 

Wouldn't even surprise me if a few players that once had m4s are now running around with m0s versions of their equipment because of this update.

Why?

Why would the system mess up just for them, and not everyone else.  There have not been mass complaints about players getting the wrong upgrade.

Plenty of complaints about the m2.10 becomming an mk7.1.  But have yet to see any of the opposite.

 

No - it's more likely a case of they were mistaken about what they originally had.  The simplest answer is usually the correct one.

None of us have "proof".   In light of that - I err on the side of reasonableness.

I find it more reasonable that the player is mistaken.

Then it would be best to assume that the devs botched a conversion to an unneeded update so bad that there's no way to recover from it except by reverting the update.

In this case, foxers rico is mk6...I jist checked so he was in fact mistaken for saying it was mk4

As someone who has played complex card games, Ive seen many many ppl complaining that the game is broken only to find that they werent reading their cards or didnt understand how the game worked

Nice...mk3 kits in shop for tankoins, and not even 1 freaking mk2 kit for crystals. Absolute garbage....how do you purchase kits if there are never any in there....like can i find them in flash maybe?

Edit: Just checked flash...they removed the kit button....so they promise kits, but then only put them in for tankoins...this is new information for me...didnt know this

As I mentioned earlier - kits for crystals is so random it's not really reliable.

Plan to upgrade (by MU or wait for next mk-level) at least one combo as a safety net to not getting a decent kit.
