This is the reason why online tanki became a P2W game and the community is getting smaller and smaller.

things started changing way back in Oct 15 2015 when they announced that they were thinking of joining tanki and tanki X . this still could be happening . we as players wont know  as long as money and players stay then this part of the game will continue according to what Cedric said to us when he was here.

Wasn't is the opposite? Pretty sure they announced at that time that TX is being turned into a separate project, rather than becoming a replacement for TO, as was planned previously.

Folks I found a kit. Thunder hunter. Not the best, but means ill have a turret that will do more than tickle the opponent. Ill stick with hunter until I can upgrade dictator...3x repair kits and supplies per game is like 60 supplies saved per hour.

Not sure tho if kits are worth the low ranks given your essentially paying for everything anyway yeah?

Alrighty so this account has completely turned around. I was struggling to do anything early on, and then I purchased dictator...even though it is still mk1, I am upgrading it, and the supplies it gives have meant I am consistently performing quite well in battles, even against players with mk4.

Here is the next leg of the journey for those who care: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bf6aJ_qCZKc

Interestingly enough, a player in the last battle on my team was raging about buyers and whatnot...funny thing is that the top spot on his team was held by a nonbuyer...so...

Yeah, dictator is the best way to go about in the beginner ranks because of its overdrive.

Ok, I think I have hit the point where I will start only playing daily missions...at least until I can hit a good container with supplies. Still maintaining decent scores in battle, but am also running into tanks significantly better than mine, due to being a higher level, and also having more supplies than me. I do know that at some point in the future, my supplies levels will be fine, but for now, I am at below 30 for everything except repairs, which I have used maybe 5 total.

In terms of p2w, you only need to look at Tanki Youtubers. Those are the guys breaking MM, buying 1,000,000 crystal bundles and new skins for hundreds of dollars.

Also, look at the GS in battle. Half the people in mid ranks are M3 already (6000-7000). And that occasional "ultra-buyer" (all M2/3 at low ranks) is becoming more and more common thanks to Tanki's decision to include kits in the shop. Having horrible MU sales doesn't help as these people max out their equipment (save prot) even without discounts. Check out Florida's profile in the Ratings if you don't believe me.

Remind me....how do new skins help you win? I keep hearing this argument...wouldnt this be an argument for "pay to look cooler"?

Kits have always been in the shop.

mods are  anoying now too, tanki   just accept everyone  that applies ?

I don't think so. On the contrary, they're quite helpful and informative in their opinions, and not just biased towards any "Tanki is not at all P2W" or "TanKi iS DeAd" crap.

Am I missing something, or are you not aware that all the same kits are available for crystals? In HTML5 you have kits you can buy with crystals in the Shop, which rotate every 12 hours and give you the same equipment as kits available for tankoins. The only difference is that you will likely have to wait some days/weeks for a suitable kit to appear, whereas you can always buy whatever kit you want using tankoins, which is more convenient

As others said above, it's pointless to compare Fortnite with Tanki. Their player base and profit margins are many times greater than that of Tanki, so their economy allows them to keep the game completely free of P2W elements. Tanki cannot afford to do that.

Can you please explain briefly about buying kits with crystals? 'cause it seems like kits don't appear to be bought with crystals anywhere in shop, it's just tankoins. so where do they exactly appear?

Alrighty...an update.

I've been continuing to cruise along...not playing a ton, but doing missions each day. A lot of nice players down in the low ranks. I'm sticking to my dictator even though it was weak for a while, simply because of the supplies it gives. I'd love to go wasp, but I cant afford to use supplies....barely using them currently and able to do really well.

Jeez tanki gives a huge amouth of crystals now. With my beginner's pass still active and double funds, I'm getting 400-500 per battle, which means 3k per hour...which actually doesnt sound like a lot now that I say it out loud. I have only bought what I needed, so when mk3 kits come around, I should have easily more than enough

I have played Tanki for many years with different accounts (bigbigballs, hairdryer, splashgun etc...).  I am so called non-buyer and doing fine with smart tactics of sticking to 1-2 turrets with one hull in the beginning.

When I get bored with existing combos I create a new account for new combos and might use them parallel to get mission rewards on 2-3 accounts while saving my supplies in one account alone.  That way I was able to build my supply stocks to level good enough against buyers.

Regardless of what i just said I can also say that the path of non-buyer has become more challenging due to few issues:

- You can't anymore choose the map suitable to your limited garage.

- MM puts you to battle with uneven GS -ratings,  They can be between GS 3000 .... 9999 in a battle and you can really feel that with the GS3000 equipment.

- Drones and batteries are practically out of reach for a non-buyer.  I now have over 2000 batteries in my account but I have not even tested them or learned the drones and their characteristics because they would be too expensive to use. I buy repair kits instead.

I have missed to see what is the Tanki Dev's plan of the non-buyer's path to success in Tanki.  It is not up to us to try to see how a non-buyer might cope but the Tanki Devs responsibility.  Unfortunately I do not see any hint from Devs' part to this direction. Maybe because they do not know that.  Game devs are missing the consistency of design.

You have to be viewing the HTML5 shop.

Why do you have to vist the HTML5? You said that  the main reason why people are leaving because the game's USP and the flash engine had been outdated.

Why can't you put  have on the  tanki cillent, its more easier and you won't lose players

This topic has been discussed many times. Your points are similar to most non buyers. Basically, you can still build a good garage by spending a lot more time in the game. However, at high levels, you will still have problems against players with GS close to 9999 and  drones/batteries advantage. There is no way around that as you cannot build up a large supplies of batteries playing one mission per day. You can still have fun playing and win maybe 50% of your matches.
