I can see that this new Alteration for Gauss can make start a whole big family of new type alteration for existing Turrets:

- Smoky critical hit will remove your buff. 

- Second shooting mode of Striker, Magnum and Shaft could also be in scope for this.

A big can of worms infinite possibilities just opened up...

Oh, yes!

I imagined how this battle mode look like:

- a random point, called the virus appears on the map

-who go near the virus will also become a virus

-also, random toalet papers will appear on the map

-the player who collected the most toalet papers and not infected by the virus, wins .

If you are in the splash radius, it removes your supplies too. This can potentially be exploited with booster drone. After the extra power of the booster drone is over after 3 seconds, aim at someone and drive close enough to them to be in the splash radius. Your dd will be removed with a 5 second cool down. Then you can activate dd again and get three more seconds of booster drone.

It wouldn't be a bad idea, but isida is the weakest turret in the game, and this takes away its weak, but unique feature: healing, so i don't think it should be relased.

Let's say a target just used DA from garage.  Would have a cooldown of 30 seconds.  Shortly after de-buffed by a Gaus Alteration.  When can target use another DA?

That 5 seconds only applies if they are not currently in a cooldown?  If so - that's a huge dfference.

In the test server, even the 30 second cool down after using a supply was reset to 5 second cool down. This might be a mistake though.

The only way this alt would be not op is if they made it deal 0 dmg. That way you sacrifice your damage for de-activating supplies. Still...too op

For the Gauss' team yes.  What's in it though for the Gauss with 0 damage?  Resorting to arcade?  not great...

I think the whole concept should be scrapped...

Why would you buy/and equip that?  For purely a team concept - yeah - might help your team do better. 

But if you have any goals to accomplish (or stars to acquire) I see that as a setback.  Stock would be way better.  Especially if the cooldown is 5 seconds.

yes yes the problem with the support role in this game is no xp for supporting

what if i say on removing every power up Gauss get 5 xp per power up removed

this will balance right it gain support xp that this game lacks

Simple example person healing a flag carrier or ball taker get no extra xp while he get boosted by 80 xp with the help of support

the problem is the game dont have a good xp model for anything except attacker

 

Change "xp" to "score" and we might have agreement.

the #1 post is a total lie. I was in a live server PRO-Battle, the supershot still has splash, and barely any weaker than the OG. Tanki Online clearly paywalled this and honestly, who is actually that effed in the head to buy an alt and a shot color for about 50 USD?? REMOVE GAUSS ALT

They meant to say that the quick fire mode doesn't have splash. I agree it is not super clear, and we apologize.

Regular shot = arcade shot. Supershot = sniper shot. Do you not know that?

What is the 'standard explosive shell'?  The Snipe?  or the arcade?  Cuz only the snipe gets EMP, but it's the arcade that loses the spalsh...

ok I want to reword what I said, after seeing tests in actually live MM battle, it is CRAZY OP. The supercharge shot decrease of 30% is complete BS, there are LOTS of druggers at ALL ranked gameplay. Disabling supplies and setting them into cooldown is outrageous considering the fact TO actually made the supershot reload faster. This is not at all an alteration, and an indirect nerf to Hunter, and a downright buff to Gauss, if it wasn't OP already. Gauss Mk8 now has a DPM of about 20000 which is insane! This needs an immediate nerf, maybe a 1.5x times as long for the charged shot! Tanki is clearly falling apart.
