If you had the capability of reversing a single update, which would it be?

My choice would be to bring back the power shooting of the Railgun , It was very funny to flip enemies and in addition it was very good turret for parkour ?

Oh I'm not a big fan of Overdrives either...as a matter of fact, I'd let the lower ranks keep them, but once you hit Warrant Officer 1, they're gone. Let the "little ones" have their fun with whacky mechanics.

 

Now if I were to reverse a single update, that's kinda hard to do. Cuz there's a lot of, subjectively or objectively, bad ones. When I stopped playing Tanki some years ago, there was already weird stuff happening, and it's just gotten worse over time.

I'd start at Isida's self-heal removal. I don't believe it needed to be completely broken by removing that UNIQUE aspect it had. It could've been nerfed to the point where it just repaired your tank by a smaller number of HP points when used. I think they saw it as "overpowered" and didn't know how they could fix it, so they just gave us the lame excuse of removing it completely. Now it's just a generic, futuristic looking turret that fire a glowy laser beam of energy. How lovely. ?

Being able to rent alterations, I'm tired of spending 50k -70k on a supposedly cool alt. only for it to turn out to be quite underwhelming and not suitable for my own playing style.

I agree they could have tried a little harder to fix isida - why 25% vampirism was never given a chance was weird. Dropping down to 10% was silly. They don't sem to know how to do things in moderation.

But that's 1 turret out of 13 so I feel the impact is not so drastic as say MM or 7-min battles or OverDrives.

I think Tanki should bring back old Overdrives.

The new ones are unfair, I just think they are ridiculous.

Especially on the special event maps, hunters and Wasps take all of the golds.

If Tanki doesn't remove OD's I think hunters OD should only remove supplies for 5 sec and not freeze them.

Yeah that was a useful feature, just waste 5k to try out an alteration. The best feedback is given if you tried it out first.

So in your world - the only thing a Hunter OD should do is remove supplies for 5 seconds.  FIVE. WHOLE. SECONDS.

Meanwhile Hornet can one-shot medium hulls for 20 seconds, Wasp bomb kills everything not in a dome, Viking gets 7 seconds of mass kill...

Test drives were separate. You could rent any alteration available to you for 5k crystals for 1 day. 

 

I do wish that Test Drives weren't discontinued.

Honestly, they probably could have found some middle ground in the 15-20% range. But 10% was a real bad move...it just needed more time. Or even more feedback from the community. They could've ran a poll or something; you can't completely rely on the test server to give you an accurate image of how to move forward.

Also, I'm questioning Gauss' place in the roster now...it's essentially an "improved" Thunder lol

Not just an improved version of thunder, but also an improved version of striker. These devs clearly, and I mean clearly need to be fired and replaced with ones who won't screw up the game so much.

There are two updates I would definitely revert...

  1. The update where critical damage was given to all turrets and any subsequent balance changes and augment changes and new augments that happened afterwards simply because of critical hits. It honestly overcomplicated things and made the game a huge incomprehensible mess.
  2. The update where Alterations were changed in favor of Augments. Game balance was thrown out the window and Tanki stopped being genuinely fun after that point.

Release of Gauss turret: there is no turret that has crumpled up the gameplay much like the Gauss turret. This thing is a frickin hybrid of various turrets. One fast and powerful sniper shot that follows the stealthy lock on sequence that also delivers a large splash radius. An arcade shot that deals almost as much damage as a thunder with a smaller splash radius. It's no surprise that it requires little skill to to exceptionally well with it.

 

MK Update: this update completely wrecked balance in the low, and mid ranks. You could see a player with an m4 at a rank as low as sergeant major. Let that sink in, most players at that rank are still m0s, some are basic m1s, so a player with an m4 would easily annihilate them. Also understanding this whole thing is just a headache altogether. Honestly this update should never have happened.

 

Global Update of 2016: there are so many reasons why this update sucked, but I'll just list the reasons why I didn't like it:

1) it moved all M3s all the way to marshal rank, so unless you plan to buy a kit between brigadier and then, you would have to deal with higher ranks with m3s and m4s constantly pound on you while you're just an m2 for a very long time.

2) all hulls of the same weight class now has the HP. This was bad news for hulls that needed that edge over their rivals of the same weight class.

3) hunter and Viking swap stats. Hunter didn't need the extra weight, but Viking did. Only thing I would change here is let hunter have the acceleration advantage it has now.

 

Monthly Challenges:  this feature has turned players into selfish pieces of trash, which ultimately lead to ruining the quality of battles. Instead of contributing to their team, they're more worried about how many stars they can get.

 

My opinion on challenges has changed since there are now other ways to obtain stars.

But here are more updates I would like to be reverted:

Hopper: I mean really a flying hull? Come on man.

Status augments: gets annoying when you get inflicted with this every 5 seconds.

Wasp inflicting stun and EMP: turns it into a more efficient version of hunter.

Driver nerf: yep this was bad.

Inability to MU gear even after reaching the required rank:  just terrible.

Removal of hunters ability to make enemies drop flag or ball: made hunter even worse.

Weekly mission change: I hated this one so bad.

the new weekly missions

i only play dailies (and hardly ever supermission if there is no gold catch(drop)/earn many crys without premium/BPs) to not reach legend too fast without having a strong mk7 kit 

also it's a smart strategy to not finish all challenges and force us to buy stars

For over 2 years the devs have systematically obliterated the game with numerous OTT updates and most of them have been P2W only.

Coinboxes= useless.

Ultras=? because they are anything but ultra.

Making some cheap crappy paint available for tankoins, how greedy is that.

Hovering hulls, get rid altogether.

Overdrives should go to and be replaced with the universal one they used to have, way better.

Status effects are a blight on the game, just like gauss and the flying monkey.

XP to CRY ratio should be reversed.

More XP needed to get through each rank. This will give newbies a better start before reaching the higher ranks.

TO is a complete mess and that is the reason they get SO MUCH negative feedback from players.

It really is about time the devs started acting on player feedback instead of brushing it to one side.
