"we replaced ordinary containers" is quite misleading - no?  They are only replaced during special events.  The odds of (anyone who is not a Legend that already has every paint) getting a hull alteration are similar to winning the lottery.

I was confused too. It turned out that the normal green containers are still in place from standard mission (weekly reward mission, challenges, and in game black gold box). These ultra containers can be bought during the special events or earned by doing the special event missions (max 12 in total this time). Also they would be droped in normal battle, what colour would it be black or? It does not replace the green container, it is just a new breed (with other type of big rewards / premium unique equipment and premium cosmetics) brewed to spice these events and catch a few more buyer-fish to help protect them against the "new" threat which are the EMP, freez effect and after-burn.

Unless you have almost every item in the "category" already in your garage, getting a hull alt will be as rare as seeing a unicorn unless - you also buy a bunch of them.

Average Joe from Gismo on down has no real hope of obtaining these alts.  The fact they nerfed the modules we spent hundreds of thousands of crystals on just adds insult to injury.

I agree, there is quite a lot of "beautiful" paint in these categories. 

It certainly was not a civilised move to do this. The beneficiary of this changes for the greater good balance are the buyers who own Firebird, Freeze and Gauss (certainly not Thunder or railgun as contextually explained in the v-log).

I only play TJR nowadays.

Next step is to sale armour plate, to fix around your tank (only in containers too). Front, right side, left side underneath, back, .... also can only fit one hull, so need to buy the other too. Oh, I can't wait.

After half year of break,

back to tanki because of the covid19.

before that, I was already in Tanki since 2012, full of max mu-ed combo, and module, and a drone.

take 2 days finish mission to get 12 Ultra Container,

I did the 4 missions , got the 12 containers .

What do i got next to normal things ... Hunter Ultra skin , yes the new 1 . Since i haven't seen anybody with the same , must not be around too much yet . I can tell you , It engine is reworked , since it puts out more smoke then a JGR . The smoke things i think only JGR got , but this Hunter Ultra certainly puts out a lot of carbon haha.

Fortunately, I knew these new containers were not as special as the announcement hyped it after looking at the RU Wiki, which stated that the Ultra Containers were pretty much identical to regular containers in price and contents.  Only difference is the new shiny toys (i.e. the new Hunter-only alts) exclusive to the Ultra Containers, which I don't really care about.  And those toys are super scarce, so

Outside of good luck, it'll take much to see these containers as truly "ultra".

So to get an alteration (not even a specific one that you may be looking for) you have to gamble by purchasing ultra containers. I think you could change the name of the game to Casino Online. Gambling in video games has been around for a quite a while now but it doesn't mean it's a good thing. Having features that impact gameplay accessible almost exclusively by gambling makes it even worse...It's just a nice spit in the face if you are a free user. A nice wet spit, right on your forehead.

i worked very hard on weekly mission ''be top 3 winner team'' i recived only weekly container and didn't recived standard container nor Ultra container!

I feal like i played blaster drone task and when i reached 299 i played 1 battle in flash and states are 0(this didn't happened to me)

I got this alteration from the Ultra Containers I received in the special missions. Not the greatest one, but it has potential for Gold Box hunting and ASL battles.

gamblings not bad for a game when the gambling is for cosmetics. just look at CS:GO. gambling is a BIG part of the game and keeps money flowing (like a tsunami) into the hands of devs while having no impact on gameplay.

What did you expect from this update? We just replaced ordinary containers with ultra containers which have more cool prizes but nobody told that your chance to get cool prizes from these containers will be higher. I just don't understand what you are complaining about.

Gambling is not cool for many people. You're relying on the game you're gambling on being trustworthy, which is never. The suspicion is that the “house” always rigs the game to fill their pockets. I particularly don't trust Tanki because they have a track record of finding ways of carelessly nerfing stuff people pay for.

F2P and buyers not willing to blow their cash on gambling items are now disadvantaged because certain alterations are powerful and a full stock of alterations is unstoppable. Even if you're a buyer that's supported this game for years that would be willing to lump a few bucks a month into buying Ultras, the odds are not good that you'll get your preferred alteration, especially if you have loads of turrets/hulls with not many alterations and not many of the loads of paints that are in the game.

Would help if.... of the first 10 alterations we got from Ultras we could specifically pick what alterations we wanted. I reckon Tanki would sell more ultras like that because all types of buyers would be less suspicious that it's a con or unaffordable. Free players would at least have a decent hope of getting a preferred alteration to provide better competition to buyers(the whole point of having F2P in MMO games). Big buyers would quickly get the first 10 alterations on their accounts, but after that they're trusting to luck. But of course, best idea is to have alterations available to all, but you guys have a tendancy to not revert hated updates, so I'm just looking to get something a bit more acceptable from what is looking like an especially bad update.

This game is now at the point where to have the latest OP stuff you have to be a lucky gambler.
