Gauss Best Hull pairing? Dictator, Titan, Viking, Hornet?

Best Hull for Gauss and why?

  1. 1. Which hull goes well in all modes for Gauss? Why? I find dictator gives more uptime with the free Drugs OD

I like viking due to the mobility and stealthiness and it's burst damage for OD. 

Dictator gives more up-time with the free Supplies with it's overdrive and nice downward and upward angle. Stable too! 

Hornet gives that 1 HIT KO OD with DD.

Titan, decent mobility and Tankiness + OD BArrier.

 

Which is better all in all?

I big problem of Viking OD not commonly discussed, is that unlike other hulls, you cannot fire non-stop due to intense splash-damage. My first few times on this combo I self-destructed in middle of my OD. It is a great fit for its parameters, but the OD has a drawback.

True, it's annoying hitting team mates too it just blocks the shots, i find this very practical when using on Juggernaut or just defending yourself from a crazy drugger/rusher

I wish they would buff the armor a bit for dictator its pretty much a barn running around the map.

Naturally, this will vary by mode, and what I said above applies for TDM or modes where you are playing TDM instead of the real mode. I have seen a lot of Gauss-Wasp, but it is probably just used for the OD, and should be left out of consideration. You need enough armor to fully lock-on to enemies.

It is a very odd "medium" hull - very awkward to drive.  TX actually swapped it and Titan for heavy/medium hull.

But they won't differentiate the medium hulls on armor unfortunately.

Intense splash damage? It's so small that the enemy has to be in your face for you to self-destruct. Maybe the circumstances you were in happened to allow that frequently, but such is life for using a turret that is able to kill multiple enemies with one shot. It's a drawback, but has a larger positive side.

I am so disappointed by the number of times a Viking (with splash turret) does not kill itself when I'm in their face.

Could be because they were in their teams titans dome or had defender drone or had high protections against their own turret coupled with double armor attached to them and weren't using double damage.

 

Other explanations include magnums relatively noticeable reload, and gauss's small splash radius in arcade.
