Best way to use your mines.

Basically, when an enemy is running with the flag/ball, I put myself sideways in front of them (to block them off from running) and while I shoot at them, I place a mine. 

Often they keep on going forwards, so they step on the mine and get killed.

I do that and sometimes it lifts their hull high enough to drive over me.

Yesterday I played in a Cologne CTF battle, with a few Legends on each team. There was this guy on the other team who had Mortar Magnum and Saboteur, and mostly just hid on one of the pathways on top of the castle thing. Thanks to his Alteration I mean Augment and his drone, the base was littered with Mines, and only the side paths were usable.

Yeah, it's rather easy to do with basically any hull that has at least a decent acceleration time.

 

And I'm not sure if you have noticed it or not. I think you probably have by now but there is a period of time between the moment you press the mine key whatever it may be on your keyboard and the moment you hear that infamous sound that indicates that the mine has been planted. Think it's like 0.5 seconds or something.

yeah that gives a window of opportunity to escape. i tried to mine a person by method 1 but this Almost ruined it
