That's what I thought too.  However, DieselPlatinum and TheCongoSpider mentioned that you can still burn foes with heat immunity AND Incendiary Band equipped.  Mirza7 will gladly explain how this makes sense. 

Personally, though, I don't care about the logic in a game whose Drones have the WORST battery life and Overdrives with whimsical effects.

This whole play is fantasy with very little logic.

Real turrets always heat, no matter what comes out.

Tanks will never overheat their hull or their turret to ignite bullets. That makes even less sense than tanki fantasy sense.

1938, B Mark VI bullets: "a small steel ball was placed in the tip of the bullet to ensure that the chemical exploded on impact", assuming this info on internet is correct (= the chemical heats)

As you can see "Ignites only when self-heating" not overheating or Hull overheating. Turret produces heat, that heat flows into two things: Hull and turret. Hull takes heat damage but the heat in turret keeps escaping through ammo, hence no turret heat damage. In the case of Vulcan, self heating is basically the same thing as overheating. And why do we need to discuss what's logical and what's not?

 

The point is that it's not balanced when the turret can just rain down molten bullets onto the enemies for as long as they please and not suffer from burn damage at all.

Why is it a waste of money if it prevents your stock vulcan from overheating and also prevents you from after-burn damage from enemies.  This is the only way you survive firebird with compact tanks.

I think he means buying incendiary band will be a waste if you also buy or have heat immunity, well after the devs are done nerfing that alt duo.

Go to your garage, and click on the alteration box for your hull. You should see the list of alterations there to purchase.

So they're not in the shop? Huh, I thought they were in the shop. Well technically I assumed they were gonna be in the shop because they costed Tankoins.

 

But I did see some Tankoins alts in the garage today.

Yeah not in store or garage. Only "resistance" rather than "immunity" are in garage. Really bugging me. Been encountering several players with immunity modules. While I can't afford them yet, wanted to at least begin saving...but only if I can verify I can get the one I want. Thanks.

They are all in garage. you can see more details in Augments

Because you are using the Game Client (with Flash tech) you cannot see the equipment in the garage that can be bought with Tankoins.

You can only see the one that can be bought with crystal (or the one you got from green and ultra containers). See example below for Hornet hull (only the one  with crystals (resistance ones)).

If you want to buy Immunity Augments with Tankoins you need to do use either Mobile Andriod App or browser HTML5.

Remember that Game Client is going to die and not all new feature are added to it.

This game is getting too much crap in it.  So can someone clarify this latest farrago for me. 

Turrets and/or Hulls can have either Heat Resistance or Heat Immunity or both?  What does Heat Resistance do and what does Heat Immunity do?  How many Tankoins and/or crystals do each cost.  Do they both come in containers (to the lucky)?

heat resistance -245000 crystals

heat immunity -5000 tankoins

both come from containers

heat resistance is a basic mk8 firebird after burn protection

and heat immunity is the worst .i dont even need to expain it

Heat and cold resistance are set in the Hull Augment. You can only fit/select one Hull Augment per hull when you are in the hull garage. It is impossible for a player to have more than one Hull augment at once. Immunity Augments type remove all (=100%) the damage from heat and rate of heat (A.k.a after-burn - red color on your paint) or damage from cold (aka freeze - whitish color on your paint) and slowing down of your tank motion from cold. Resistance Augments type remove only 50%.


Turret Augment do not have Resistance or Immunity, they are the one that can give, increase or remove Heat or Cold ability to a turret. For examples:

- Increase: For Firebird - Compact fuel tanks => Heating rate: +100% Plus.png
- Remove: For Firebird - Incendiary mix => Afterburning effect disabled Minus.png but increase turret damage
- Give:  For Smoky - Incendiary rounds => Critical hits ignite the target Plus.png (Heat damage)
it is impossible for a player to have more than one Turret Augment at once. 

 

Any Augment can be obtained by opening containers (Green and Ultra). You can buy Turret Augments from the garage with crystals (for 96 000 crystals, 149 000 crystals or 245 000 crystals). You can buy with crystals only a two of the Hull Augments: Cold Resistance and Heat Resistance (both are 50% protection) for 245 000 crystals each. The remaining Hull Augments can only be bought with Tankoins (4 990 MiniTankoin.png).

It's brutal that, to get my Fox module back to where it was before hull augments were introduced, I need to spend another 245,000 crystals on each hull.

I see that you have issues with comprehension! Where exactly did I say anything about Russian people? I wrote about the Soviet mentality that Tanki arrogant developers have.  the Russian people were victims of that mentality.  I guess you are 50 years old and you haven't figured out yet that life is not fair either!  Or is it fair when the developers took the ability to buy for crystals the "augmentations" (I guess they learned a new word in the Tanki gulag) and then after the outcry, they brought them back for 10 times the price?  Where is the fairness to the non buyers? Is 4,990 tankoins fair price? Perhaps in another universe it may be! Well, I guess such is life! Que sera, sera!

But that's the idea! Theyknow that if you want it, you have to spend real money to buy so many TKs. And they will be enough naive kids that will spend their allowance on this buggy game!  "An error has occurred" but hey, who cares, let's have another sale/discount/celebration so we can forget that they are not capable of fixing the real problems!

I think someone posted something like this already, but I can't find it and it is worth mentioning again.  The alts for 4990 Tankoins are for buyers not freebies.  Here's why:

 

18 Tankoins per week from Weekly Containers                                                                           18 x 52 = 936

200 Tankoins per month from Challenges                                                                                200 x 12 = 2400

Total Tankoins in one year for 100% completion of all Daily Missions and Challenges                            3336

 

Sure Tanki, the addition of Tankoins won't change the economy of the game one bit...they are just an addition so Mobile players can buy stuff too!
