Heat immunity and Incendiary Band

I'm a lucky lucky tanker in that I: -

a) had Vulcan Incendiary Band long before you played about with the alts
b) got the heat immunity (hurrah)

I can, as someone who has played 3 games with these, safely say...

YOU NEED TO REMOVE THE HEAT IMMUNITY EFFECT FROM INCENDIARY BAND.

It is not balanced, it is not fair, it requires no skill or thought. I wasn't a fan of IB before but having got heat immunity, I was obviously going to give it a try. It's just not right and anyone who plays a game or two with it knows as much.

To be clear, I have this combo. I'm not a hornet/gauss fool who is upset at being upstaged. It's just too much to be able to drive around the map, NEVER ceasing to fire, knowing any tickle on a tank heats them along with what is already a very competitive DPS. It's too far. You need to nerf me. I say this for the good of the game because while it's boring to win 30 - 2 over and over, people will do it over and over until something changes.

I'm going back to stock (but totally keeping that fire immunity equipped so come try it!).

As you have heat immunity, remember not to fire continuously when you need not to. For heat immunity, it's great for when there is a group of enemies you're wearing down and you're almost out of energy, you can use it to keep firing and destroy them, but don't do so if the situation doesn't call for it. Too many non-Incendiary Band Vulcans and too many SSRs of all Vulcans overheat unecessarily and it just pisses me off seeing them do this in droves.

I've not even thought about how it will affect my stock play - mainly I'm happy to have my afterburn protection back (and then some) since I'm using Titan a lot on this account and my dome is simply a way to attract people to kill you these days.

I'm used to playing to not overheat so I can't imagine it'll be an issue but given it causes no damage, other than decreased turret rotation speed, why stop? It's a bit of a mess all in all.

Meanwhile I got some a heavyweight hull aug for my hornet on my striker alt. So that's handy (?!). It's hard to know what to make of the recent changes, they are so wide ranging in impact - I had a vague idea of what equipment suited me before. Now, it feels like it's pot luck what has happened this week to totally change things. I imagine next week Vulcan will be reduced to 50% projectile speed and heat immunity will only apply to mild sunburn. Impossible to know and therefore impossible to plan.

Look at the top crystal earners ratings this week and see how Overpowered this is. Says it all. Have been facing these constantly this week. Another money maker for Tanki as the latest flavour-of-the-month equipment is guaranteed to sell like hotcakes to those that love to win every battle easily with no challenge whatsoever.

Finally someone who sees the real issue with vulcan and posts a topic about it in the forum. I'd rather just remove the immunity alts but this works too.

Immunity alts shouldn't be a thing. But I'm still shocked at the magnitude of stupidity the developers have since they weren't able to foresee this before hand... do the developers even play the game?

why not? tanki is just declaring without shame that they are p2w .guess this is to show non- buyers how much they can make the game more unplayable for us

If it drives away enough F2P tankers it will become a real problem.

Buyers don't buy just to play against other buyers...

Well his real name is seymon strizak. I'm guessing he got his nickname hazel because he likes hazelnuts.

They've done it before to make sales. The Freeze turret, for example. Remember when they buffed it? No one had a chance because they died in less than 2 seconds. Then we saw the Freeze turret all over the place. They nerfed it back not 'normal' a couple of weeks later. Then the Freeze turrets started to decline in numbers in battles. And now they took away the freeze effect on the turret part of the target so people can 'defend' themselves. (See? Devs listen to complaints.) What was the use of taking away the freeze effect if that was Freeze's primary characteristic?

theyre just tyrnna make buyers immune to firebird and freeze .this is just like the isida update where self -healing was removed .only difference? that applied to all .now firebird and freeze are very op to those who dont have immunity alts and actually not a big deal for those who have it .freeze is still very strong if u can use it .just remove the goddamn stupid ass immunity alts

Not sustainable. 

Buyers want easier battles.  They won't invest if they have to struggle.
