Why doesn't Juggernaut's double armor work?

Question

The Juggernaut supposedly has double damage, double armor, and speed boost active all the time.

Speed boost clearly is functional because it can still outrun a speed-boosted wasp. Double damage works because the number you see when hitting someone with Terminator is twice the damage number you see in the wiki.

The double armor icon, however, seems to be just decorative. Whenever you shoot at the juggernaut, the number that pops up matches the number you see for a tank with no double armor activated. Why?

Yes it is for show, not only the DA but SB and DD too, as you can see all the spec in the wiki are for the Juggernaut with the 3 supplies on. Instead of dividing the damage by two like any other tank with DA on, the Juggernaut has its HP doubled, therefore damage appears as normal. Dividing damage or increasing HP is the same really, but it is confusing.

I think the three supplies icons are displayed for mainly two reasons:

1/ As the drops have no effect on the Juggernaut if the icon are visible then the players driving the Juggernaut would not take the supplies away from its teammates.

2/ make it look like the super tank is badass. (Marketing 101)

Think of its base HP being 10k at Mk8, and double armour increasing that HP to 20k.

Double armour for regular hulls reduces damage taken, it does not "increase their HP".

In Juggernaut's case, it increases its HP by 2x, which does the same thing as having a 50% protection module, but allows all turrets to deal full damage.

Also if the Juggernaut had half HP but with double armour that reduced da age taken by 50%, it would take much longer to finish a deal damage mission in that mode if you were to be targeting the enemy Juggernaut.

That's just the Juggernaut's base speed. And the damage on the Wiki is exactly the damage it does. Mk8 Terminator deals around 3.3k damage on average for a Railgun shot. If it did double that damage it would be 6.6k.

Huh, interesting. So none of the three supplies act as you would expect them to on a normal tank?

The Juggernaut is always with the supplies on, so if you pick one it will not change the parameters in any way. I am sure by default they put the Jug as if it has all the supplies on, save them some line of code or something, but the drawback is that the damage indicator reveals it.

That's not quite what I asked. I understand that supply boxes don't affect it, because the supplies are always (nominally) active. They just all have somewhat different mechanisms than their normal-tank supply counterparts, it I'm understanding correctly.

Yes it is different, yes it is decorative (and informative). Now you have your answer. If you are not interested as why, then I leave it as that.
