He playing so cautiously when he was about to die, he simply refreshed and came back in the game lol

You have 0 deaths, you refresh the page. Your tank "partially" leaves the battle until the 2 minutes are up. You come back and your stats are restored to what it was prior to refreshing, allowing you to have 0 deaths. I've encountered a few players who were obviously doing it whenever I went out of my way to kill them and almost succeeded every time.

I see this sometimes with high level players. You know when it's going to happen because they stop firing (probably because they are mousing towards the x or the refresh button).

IMO, they should remove the whole profile system. Especially since people are gonna judge you based on the equipment that you haven't used in years.

Or at least make the profile visible only to the owner.

What's the point in doing that? You still die, and lose points. So you lose out more on the funds.

To deny an opponent a kill and points. People are willing to lose 1 or 2 crystals just to piss off an enemy.

Pretty easy to do so if you're using a splash turret.

There's that, but there's also the person who jumps off a ledge just to do so.

 

Also, many Thunder players purposely wait until they know they will kill themselves when they shoot.

If you kill the other guy in the process(which is likely with magnum), you get a net +5 points and a kill(and deny the other team a kill in tdm or asl).

I think they should remove the efficiency rating as the top 100 players are achieving it through rigging / gaming the system.

Apparently, there is more to it than we thought.

I saw a guy abuse this today. He equiped compact tanks, came to our base, emptied his tank, and hit refresh. He disappears while we burn to death. Then he is back for another round. and another.... and another till the match is over.

Wait, when Firebirds ignite a target and leave the battle, the target ignited will immediately return to neutral temperature upon the Firebird leaving. That didn't happen in your case?
