What is the hull parameter: depreciation?

 Share

Question

All hulls have a non-upgradable parameter called depreciation(in table of charecteristics in wiki). I couldn't find any info on this anywhere else. Does anyone know exactly what it is?

I cracked the Overdrive charge from points and Overdrive charge over time, but Depreciation is a mystery. As it comes with the other speed/weigh/power parameter it could be related to speed and it is quite knew so maybe linked to Drone crisis (and the speed boost?) or related to an augment (heavy/light weight?).

Dictator is the funny one, with 2500, higher than the heavy class and very close to Juggernaut. What makes it special?

Viking, Mammoth and Titan are ballpark.

Hull Depreciation Class
Wasp 900 Light
Hornet 1250 Light
Hunter 1500 Medium
Viking 2000 Medium
Mammoth 2000 Heavy
Titan 2100 Heavy
Dictator 2500 Medium
Juggernaut 3000 Beast

It is a negative term, so it removes something from an existing parameter. If a factor then read 900 as 9%. Dictators seems to do a thing better than other hull and is penalized (depreciated) for that.

It may be tied to the Overdrives, but the numbers aren't consistent with what I thought it was.

I tried that it may have meant:

 - The time it takes to fully discharge from 100% to 0% after activation (retention period) but Wasp and Titan both discharge immediately and have Depreciations that are far apart.

- The time it takes for the Overdrive to start passively charging after activation but Wasp and Titan get to 1% immediately as I press Shift most of the time.

- The time it takes for the Overdrive to reach 1% passive charging but its the same as before but involves more hulls that disagree with it.

- The time it takes for the user to be able to manually gain Overdrive charge after activation but Viking and Mammoth do not gain manual Overdrive charge during their durations and the others besides Hornet get theirs immediately.

So it may not have anything to do with the Overdrives and may just be something for the hull itself. Maybe it's a parameter that will be added in the future and they'll explain what it does.
