Do you read The Dictator and secretly think to yourself: "Well, I can definitely write something better?" Then you're in the right place; yeap, you can now write for The Dictator. Find out how below!

  Task

Write a piece in the style of "The Dictator" for a chance for your article to be featured in the next edition of this hilarious column. Of course, that might take several years, so see your piece in 2021. Remember to use your funny bone to make your piece the best of the group, but of course, please make it original. Oh, and a quick note, please don't write me a textwall. Something around 100 to 300 words shall do nicely.

 

  Rules

1. As per the previous contest, you may submit up to two entries, but please remember to only submit them from ONE account.
2. Please submit your entries via Forum PM.
3. Just two quick notes, in case anyone doesn't know anything about The Dictator (shame!): It has to be Tanki-related, and make it funny.
4. Hint: Our next issue may be Halloween themed.

 

 Prizes

Each winner will receive a prize of 40 000 crystals. Oh, and did I mention, a feature on The Dictator?

After many decades of isolation and self-incarceration, Doctor (formerly referred to as Lord Zenith, ruler of the underworld) has come back from the depths of his far away cave to announce the results of his intense experiments and works. He claims, with no proof whatsoever, besides for a gum wrapper with a girls phone number written on it (update: the phone number belongs to GoldRock), that playing Tanki Online at around this intense time of year, will actually improve results on students exams.

 

We asked him for some background on this conclusion, as he had no physical evidence to back-up his claims. He simple said that it will work because "swag." We are currently looking into what exactly the ethical meaning behind that statement was.

 

The reporter team, being a bunch of premature hooligans who get an F on all their exams anyways, have decided to take part in the experiment for scientific purposes only. A handful of reporters (mainly the ones whom are struggling and are desperate to graduate) will, like most years, not be studying for our upcoming exams too much, but will instead be engaging ourselves in this fascinating experiment, and will be playing Tanki Online for as long as re possibly can. Meaning, until our parents kick us off our computers because it's 3 AM.

 

In other news, while we (the dumb reporters) are brainwashing our already brainwashed minds in this experiment, the smart reporters (the nerds like Antarctica, tweezers, and... no one else) will be taking their own barricades in their respective bedrooms, studying for the exams they would pass even if they had not studied for them. Have fun smarties. Next year, play Tanki, and put that on your resume to Oxford.

 

 

As this is a larger project, I'll give you an extra week to get your creativity juices flowing. But remember to submit your entry before 25 September to be featured in the next "The Dictator", thanks!

It is a writing contest. Winning texts would be then displayed in the next issue of the satirical Newspaper called "The Dictator".

See here an example of the The Dictator: Tanki's Finest News Source - May 2020  The Dictator is a selection of short  humorous texts written by different authors. With this contest you could be one of them (+40k crystals)

I really enjoyed the experience of writing my entries for this contest, as it was fun and challenging!
