I am fed up with the zero damage to enemy respawning. I have had a conversation about this with another seasoned player Wolverin. The whole argument is that zero damage gives a fighting chance to the defending team if the base is swarming with blood thirsty enemy. Well, I say the whole concept is flawed. First of all when you aim (I am a shaft) you may not know if that particular tank respawned. So you waste your shot, and it takes time to reload. Then the tanks re spawn not only close to the base, but farther, so that gives them an advantage. I gave an example of an enemy tank dropping the flag because he was shot down, but the flag was picked up by a respiring tank who had god-like powers and could deliver the flag safely. But let's not be fixed on CTF. What about DM ?- no base there but the respiring tanks can take the advantage. What about CP? - no base there but if you are holding a point a respawned tank easily destroys you without risk or damage to himself. Assault? The tactic there is to harass the attackers and stop them from delivering the flags by actually bombing them or killing them at the flags. When they respawn they have the advantage of freely running with the flag. My suggestion is to scrap the idea of zero damage. In a conflict that is a ridiculous concept (though on the other hand respawing too). So if there need to be a zero damage, then only for tanks respawing right at the base, or at the flag/ball.

Devs, please do something about the situation of a combo of the heat resistance augment, and vulcan's inciderancy band. The guy literally has infinite reload, and can keep on shooting until he gets bored. Isn't that OP? Isn't that unbalanced? he doesn't have to even stop shooting, and since the damage penalty was removed, no side-effects at all! You can get more powerful as you go on shooting, and not even worry about the reload, or self damage, or anything! Just put a brick on the spacebar! No opposition! Shoot , and you get a turret that is a mixture of Vulcan and Firebird, and more deadly than the turrets combined! How in the world is this even fair? Doesn't this affect the game balance adversely? Please, Please have some pity on players who can't afford to buy containers until they get heat resistance ( Or who aren't lucky enough, I am not prejudiced against buyers).

Without free players the buyers will leave too.  Why would they buy just to play another buyer?  Where is the fun in that?

They are trying to encourage buyers to buy more.  Unfortuntately they are going too far and free players are leaving even more.

you say "stay" but it wont be for long. without a growing playerbase it will just go downhill quickly. they will get the money from the p2w players and milk the idiots as much as they can, and once they all decide to go (since no one else wants to play an outdated browser game that does absolutely nothing for new players) it will get no new players and will disappear. everything they are doing besides using html is a dead giveaway of this.

The flash version isn't working (15:20 pm UK time).

It crashed and my screen went black. Now I can log in but the lobby won't load.

The numbers are not lying. Tanki used to have over 100 K players at one time in the weekend, over 60 K in the workweek. Today it is roughly 14-24 k on a good day. The admins and other TO readers of these opinions are on their way to lose employment, and in this pandemic - that will hit Mother Russia with an even greater force than abroad (no real prep) - this can have a very true to life meaning. So to save yourselves stop messing up the game, fix bugs, stop introducing new crap, such as the hovercraft, and concentrate on making the game good again. As for MONEY, as this is most important, right? (keeps the bills paid, puts food on the table...), stop selling items in the shop, make everything free and attainable after effort in the game, and use those damn billboards you have in the game for advertising. Real adverts. Every day roughly 20-40 thousand people throughout a given day (or whatever the number is) will see that advert.

Not addressed so far:
In HTML when in the sniping mode, the cross hairs jump slightly up or down or left or right depending where I am aiming. This makes me miss or lose time on adjustment. I don't meen jiggling because I am on an uneven surface. That is different. The aim is simply not smooth - imaging moving to hit the target, and suddenly the cross hairs jump up a bit

No it will not, or tell me when it will. I just played a game. A wasp came up and sprung on me its little package of TNT. So I put on the dome. And the bomb exploded. So it stopped nothing. Are you saying that the dome cancels out the bomb when I used it in the split second when the bomb is deployed? That is just wrong and should not be like that. So again, there are no countermeasures to dome. I put up the dome, the wasp destroys me in it. The wasp puts up the bomb first, I counter with the dome - the bomb goes off. Huner freezes up everyone - I can't put up the dome. I have the dome - the hunter initiates his overdrive - I have no dome. Shall I go on? This is not balance. Oh, and the dome hardly protects - makes no difference if it is freeze, fire, cause, or vulcan.

Just a few days ago I disabled a Wasp's bomb with the dome. I'll see if I can get in a situation again to see if it still works. It should work.

It does work. Dome disables bomb.

With now the immunity fire alteration for any weapon you can use vulcan without burning.And even use the burning alteration against your opponent which means when you are a short range weapon you have no chances.Even for long range you don t really have any chances

See I Dont understand.......If Becuz of updates tanki is losing ALL players .....why are they increasing bad updates......(IF THERE ARE NO PLAYERS WHAT ARE THE USES OF THE UPDATES AND GAMES) I just dont understand To be honest last tanki there was once 500K+ players playing .........now if u see not even 50K also not even 10K .... If there is any tanki helper,administrator,moderators....I want You and tanki to realise that tanki is not losing money by updates(sarcasm) infact they are losing players. Plz Tell Tanki to do everything fine like b4 and not to increase prices or anything..

Hey tanki defs, I am seeing a lot of hate under your videos and updates. I believe i can help you solve some of the Problems you are having: people are frustrated about buyers/druggers, basically people are mad because others have an unfair advantage. This is how to solve this big issue: 

 

  1. Make unlimited drugs (like buyers have) available for anyone or no one. Either give everyone unlimited supplies or give no one unlimited supplies.

  2. Change the matchmaking, instead of grouping together ranks group together players with the same gear score. For example having a game you can only join with a gear score between 3000 and 4000. To make this work there should be some other changes too: 

  • Make players able to select the equipment level, for example if you have thunder m6 you could also select m5, lowering your GS. This way you can still join friends whilst playing with your favorite turret. 

  • You now also need something to motivate players to upgrade their equipment, there are several ways to do this: 

    • Give better rewards in higher GS battles

    • At achievements only available in high GS battles

    • Extra Gold boxes

  1. Make all items/equipment/alterations that have an impact on gameplay available for anyone to buy with crystals in the garage (also for reasonable prices, even for non buyers)

 

Those are all the big/important changes I would make to keep the game fair for everyone. There are also some minor changes that me and a lot players would love to see: 

  • Bring back battle found in XP/BP formats

  • Bring back old madness

  • Give some turrets a little more recoil/ impact force. 

  • Make all game modes available for low ranks, why would you limit this in the first place?

  • Make pro game formats that lower gear score players can also join, just because i’m not paying 80 dollars for railgun+hornet M7 doesn’t mean I am not pro ?

  • Balance overdrives so they are weaker or can’t be used as often. (The way they dominate games without them having to be used in a skillful way is no fun) 

  • It feels weird for overdrives to be determined by the hull you use, I now have an upgraded hornet with an overdrive I don’t care about. The overdrive update was an indirect nerf/buff to different hulls. There was no way of knowing beforehand what tank would have a good overdrive, this has left some tankers with overpowered hulls and some with underpowered hulls. This could be solved by making overdrives selectable.

  • The protection limit should stay around 35%-40% instead of 50%.

  • Also who thought giving gameplay items away in containers was fair?

  • Think about adding a ranked game mode where you get placed against people of the same elo rating as you, when you win a game + elo when you lose - elo. Reset ratings every month and give rewards like skins/achievements to players with the highest elo ratings. 

 

I can see how some of these changes need some time to balance and figure out but if the community sees tanki is heading in the right direction I think it will all work out. Also stop updating without reason, fix things that need fixing before adding more complications.

Let to break it down:

  1.  Not possible, as Maf said. Supplies are the main revenue for Alternativa. If that's taken away, they will have hard time keep the game running. And oops, Tanki died because no moolah to keep the server runnin'.
  2.  Using Gear Score in matchmaking will not fit. The reason why is one may have high level Hull and Drone but low level Paint, module and turret. It just doesn't make sense.
    1.  I actually like the idea of downgrading equipment, but hm... is it necessary for the majority of tankers?
    2.  Oh please, it will break the game economy.... And doesn't seem to be worth it.
  3.  Reasonable price you say. I think it should be based on their performance, not particular rank.
  4.  I don't like this method, since it is just, driving them away from matchmaking.
  5. What is the obsession of the old Madness???!!! I kept seeing this.
  6.  What turrets would you like to see with recoil/impact force increased?
  7.  Gear score does not tell anything other than 9999, like what??? More like by micro-upgrades.
  8.  How would you balance OD? I chose Hornet the 1st one to get rebalanced.
  9.  Nope, takes away of uniqueness of the hulls. And it will be harder to tell which OD a Dictator would use.
  10.  Thirty-five to forty percent is good, but some, want full fifty. Don't get me wrong, 35% provides good defence without being OP.

I play flash. Maybe that is the difference.

hey i have seen this happening once in the early days of that update. I was a wasp and i had dropped a bomb near a titan. The titan then put up it's dome but my bomb did not deactivate. And then it destroyed the titan and his nearby team mates, the dome was still active. But i have seen this only once. I have also seen in later days of that update that my  own titan dome can deactivate wasp bombs. 

the same for flash? I play on it.

I play on both Flash and HTML5 (Mobile). Dome disables the bomb when the dome is planted, the bomb ignores the dome's protection when planted after the dome.

Thanks for the reply, very interesting points as well.  

  1. 1. “Not possible” “Supplies are the main revenue for Alternativa” Why wouldn’t it be possible to just get their revenue from somewhere else. Creating revenue by forcing players to buy items to compete is NOT a good system. What’s so wrong with changing it then?

  3. 2. “one may have high level Hull and Drone but low level Paint, module and turret.” I don’t quite understand the problem here, having one highly upgraded tank versus a medium upgraded thank with add ons like modules and rezistence should make it a fair fight. I do agree with you that Gear Score needs to be balanced to make this new matchmaking work, also paint shouldn’t affect Gear Score at all.

  11. 6. What turrets would you like to see with recoil/impact force increased? Almost all of them, controlling recoil/impact force used to be a big part of tanki but now it’s too damn easy. Instead of recoil/impact they can also chose to make the tanks lighter. Basically I want to increase recoil/impact to add more skill.

My problem isn’t that OD are specific for each hull, my problem is that most people didn’t get to choose what OD they wanted and just ended up with the OD of a hull they had already purchased.

  23. 12. Elo is the number that determines your rank. With elo you can create great systems to balance the game, it works like this: elo gets transferred over from the losing to the winning player, the difference in skill level determines how much. For example: Me and you battle, I have 1000 elo you have 1200 elo. Then if i win i get transfered 30 elo so we end up with, 1030 and 1170 elo. If you win you get transferred only 20 elo (because of the difference in skill level) so we end up with 980 and 1220 elo.
