Vulcan could probably take a small nerf to damage - say down to 930 DPS at mk7+...

yeah sure 7% less damage is definitely the answer. You just randomly chose a number.

 

regular twins has about 800 damage per second if you didn't know, and old vulcan was somewhere around 600 damage per second.

And what does this have to do with today's balance?

Twins never overheats and "old vulcan" basically had a laser beam that did not really need to lead targets.

Vulcan is only truly OP when combined with ODs, drones and augments.

1000 (or 1050 with their kiddy defender or other drones) damage per second, full map range with unlimited energy, even if you take after burn damage with heat immunity or not is unacceptable. I have no clue why you are bringing up old vulcan.

I looked at your playing profile and it doesn't even look like you play the game anymore. You don't even use drones it looks like. You have NO IDEA how bad vulcan is do you?

Here, let me tell you. Vulcan is getting 1000 damage per second as you know, so basically it is unlimited energy and unlimited range isida unavoidable spam cancer, shooting 20 times a second 50 damage a shot, with defender drone, lifeguard drone, or booster drone, but mainly defender drone. Most of them use hornet. Now if you didn't know there is a hornet overdrive penalty that keeps you from getting overdrive energy if you get kills seconds after activating hornet overdrive. They know this, so they activate it early and get most of their kills later during their hornet overdrive. And keep in mind they are getting 2000 per second or 2100 damage if you don't have a drone on, protection module or not. So it turns out they get hornet overdrive at least once a minute because most of their kills are spread out over the last 2/3's of their hornet overdrive. And the dictator overdrives and orange boxes make it that much easier. Light hull, easier to get boxes before anybody else does, so they get bonus boxes for the entire match. The 15 second 200% double armor power bonus cool down is now 3 seconds instead of 20 seconds. So they can simply pick up a bonus box and reset the 15 second timer of having a 50% protection module from everybody. Okay and then there is hornet overdrive ignoring spawning i-frames, so that throws that mechanic in the trash. BS booster drone the only thing to stop these unbalanced players and pausing the game before spawning and waiting for their overdrive to turn off for a few seconds if that, some of them have stacking hornet overdrives ready to keep to unfair spam going. A lot of them don't even want the ability to light you on fire with the incendiary ammo even if they have heat immunity. They instead use the reinforced aiming alteration for faster turret turning. If nobody is a threat to them they will farm about 30 or 40 kills in the 7 minute match.

Heavy hull vulcan is a bad too, but these kids don't move forward towards the opposite side base and their bullet hell spam somewhat avoidable. I have on 50% vulcan protection from them, but I don't have heat immunity yet on any of my equipment but once I do I won't complain. There are some medium hulls mainly hunters because they want to hunter overdrive a group of enemies and blow them away with incendiary ammo and they always have heat immunity on.

If you don't actually play the game anymore, you have no creditably in my opinion. Also if you don't play matchmaking.

That is inoptimal. Hornet does not receive Overdrive charge for the first 3 seconds of the Overdrive, but whatever actions it completed during those 3 seconds, the % charge it would gain pools up and is then added 3 seconds after the Overdrive is activated.

 

For instance, if a Gauss Hornet activated their Overdrive right as it shot onto a Siege point and got 7 instant kills, then their Overdrive charge would stay at 0% for 3 seconds, and then jump to 49% (Hornet gets 7% OD charge for each kill). 

 

The optimal thing to do is to use it and kill as much players as you can during those 20 seconds. If you only use it for the last 2/3 of the Overdrive duration, you're wasting potential.

Your first mistake is assuming I only play on 1 account.  WRONG.  On this account I play a lot of Pro-battles but still do missions.  Other account is MM.

Vulcan only has unlimited energy if it also has the immunity augment equipped - an augment only availabe through sheet luck or $.  Else it sef-destructs.

At long range it only does 500 damage - assuming every bullet hits the target.  If target is moving it will definitely not be 500.  So saying it is unlimited range Isida is a poor comparison.

EVERY high-damage turret is OP with Hornet OD. Magnum can 1-shot a medium hull with DD and hornet OD - even during spawning.

Sounds like you have tunnel vision and a hate-on for Vulcan.  Spend some of that energy campaigning for a Hornet OD nerf.  Would serve you better.

just use shaft with hornet  OD or rail with hornet OD. hornet-vulcans are easier to destroy when they're not mega buyers .if they are then just quit the match

There was a 90% negative feedback to do this uptade, as GhostAnimators says but none of the developers cared about it right. Nice sincerity... Now with pro battle funds disabled it's most probable that the few old players will leave the game as well leaving about 10000 players playing everyday. Simply sad if u can think what happened 5 years ago when 2 or 3 or even 5 million players where joining every day and when you find and play whatever battle you wanted. 

It's just... Every uptade makes a sum of players leave. Really that's what a game care about and wants... Sadly this is reality and according to tankionline uptades cannot be taken back.( Which is something that happened with alterations but anyway) 

I hope this makes an impact, even if I know it won't. Most probably this topic will be deleted or will be ignored by developers because they care mostly about being rich and not making us happy since they ve managed to make over 2 million(for sure) people unhappy over the last 5 years.

I totally agree. Tanki Online, look at the plight of TankiX. I've seen a joke - its XTanki now... This should be ominous. TankiX failed for a number of reasons, but one was extreme P2W - Pay to Win. Instead of charging people for stuff use the billboards you have in the arenas to advertise.

Ever since yesterday, it's literally impossible to load into the game, let alone a battle. I've tried HTML5, Flash, TO Mobile. Nothing.

Please, PLEASE return the sale of Single Coinboxes!!! They are the only ones Non-Buyers can afford!!! Right now, the shop shows the starting quantity as 10 coinboxes, which cost 150 Tankoins.... We can't buy a lesser number of coinboxes.... Please get the single coinboxes back!! Please!!

I am having the same problem, since a couple of days I keep getting erros. Additionally, the game itself is working much slower than usual; over the past months my game has been running smoothly (FPS 60), now suddenly my fps tends to drop down to 30 and actions on the homepage and garage are going rather slow as well.

not a few missions, but many.
10 Juggernauts per day is hard indeed. 10 ruby balls is even worse.
The 1111 supplies, you should not do that you are wasting many supplies here for not much in retrun.

Tanki really has seen better days, in the forums, the complaint book has the most views and replies, Vulcan is getting OP, and the game itself is starting to fade from its roots.

ever since the matchmaking update, I knew that the game was only gonna get worse from that point onwards.

I think someone in a server said it best, "it doesn't matter how much non buyers try, buyers will just keep buying no matter how much money anything costs, that's why they're called buyers".

get rid of drones there destroying the game..

proof about how fast battles are now.. you can't even get stars or anything . its more a waste of drugs to sit there and look pretty ... UGH..

game over and still have 3:50 on the clock .. its now one sided battles... been complaining about this for so long ..

Checked Missions ... all 3 are for batteries. Picked out one for a free 'change' ... it changed to a battery ? Would be funny if i had a drone.
But I don't and its not. And itsa full spec 'M3' tank, so if i don't have a Drone by now, maybe the message is that i don't want one. So 4 straight Battery mission rewards is rubbish and in fact any battery reward is rubbish and a disadvantage for anyone who does not have a Drone.  Would be an easy code to fix maybe ...

TO has finally outperformed itself. By offering in HTML5 a mission called Sniper dedicated to Vulcan, Hammer and Smokey they have proved how low they have sunk. The mission is called Sniper, but not for Shafts, who ARE SNIPERS! Wow!
