Those are for Matchmaking battles. In PRO battles, score is distributed evenly between kill damage and assist damage. You could kill someone with a fully charged Shaft shot but you could gain only 1 battle score because that player had 7 HP when you shot them.

There is huges difference between MM and Pro battle in term of points and xp awarded. Check information in the wiki: PRO Battles and Matchmaking System.

In PRO Battles, the anti-powerlevelling mechanism is used to alter the number of points being awards. For example, if the speed of delivery of flags is too high, less points will be awarded to the player capturing them.

Upon self-destruction, you lose one kill and five points from your personal battle statistics. In TDM, your overall team's score will be lessened by one kill too.

Here's how the points mechanism works in different game modes, for example CTF and RGB:

  • Let X be the number of players in the battle.
    • Picking up the flag: 20% points from 10*X (provided that the flag was delivered).
    • Transferring the flag/ball: 30% points from 10*X, divided by the number of tanks involved in the transfers (provided that the flag was delivered)
    • Delivering the flag/ball: 50% points from 10*X with the additional points of transfers.
    • Destruction of the flag/ball: 2*points for the destruction of the tank
    • Return of the flag: 0—50% points from 10*X, depending upon the distance of return (the further the flag from the pole, the more points will be awarded).

When you one-shot kill a tank with 100% health you get 10 points. But if it is wounded the overall point would top up to 15 points distributed among the players who wounded it.
So steal kill in Pro-battles is not a good idea, to get more point you need to inflict the maximum damage to a tank.

 

I loved the Destruction of the flag/ball: 2*points for the destruction of the tank .Usually a kill the flag bearer and wait for another opponent to take it, then I killed it too ? easy points.

Gauss MK4 is available in kits as early WO3 or WO4.

If it fired as fast as you suggest - why do you think is was not mk4?  That is the most likely scenario.

Thanks for this very detailed explanation. I don't think the game is worth such a complicated system. Regarding the last point you make - killing the other flag bearer - as long as he did not re-spawn, because then he is untouchable for enough time to take the flag and score if close to base or pass to another...

You can play for fun and just complete or support the battle mode objective of your team. Or you can play competitively and aim to gather maximum points to get the highest crystals amount level and then buy more powerful gear. I guess that every player do a bit of both.
Regarding your respawning  concerns, obviously do not do that too close to the enemy base and the spawning point. I used to do that on Brest map with rail and shaft turrets, most of our teammates were oblivious to where the flag was, just sniping random tank (just playing for fun type). And when in melee mode, return it close to the enemy base (more point here too, and far more risky). ?

Since MM came up no need to do that anymore.

Just played a game with my Major account. What a joke. 1st 2 times I spawned I was frozen + killed b4 i could get a shot off. Next 2 times 3 tanks, full drugged smashed me as soon as I spawned. Might have got 1 shot off. made no difference. 
Both teams appeared to have 8 players. Either 1 team was paused / asleep or the other team was so OP they could afford to have 3 tanks smash a heavy hull and still sit up high in the open all game.

Why would I want to pay / play for this rubbish game experience ?

Fix your mismatched game tanki.

Fix your mismatched game tanki.

Our complaints are falling on deaf ears.

It is the same experience at legend rank.

The strong tanks and clans seem to be grouped together in one team, making the battle inbalanced. When the battle ends and a new one starts, the same strong tanks and clans are again grouped together in the one team.

There is no fairness and balance in the matchmaking system. There is no randomness in selecting teams - the strong tanks and clans are grouped together over and over again.

I don't really care, tanki online is over. It's fun every now and again, but when I see the lack of balance I immediately quit the battle. Sometimes it's just laughable - like 3 vs 8 all the way until the end of a battle.

Why won't they just listen to players.

Because they think it is beneath them to actually take advice from experienced players who know what they are saying. Basically they dont give a hoot if the players complain, which is why i've stopped doing it  HORNET RULES YEAHHH OK.

There are certain players in the ratings that i believe are CHEATING. I am not allowed to name them so i will obey the rules and not name anyone who is below let's say the top 2. There is also a legend player who is not quite a legend who is also not gonna be named because it would be breaking the rules, and i try my best to stay within the rules of the game unlike certain players i am not allowed to mention. Bending the rules for the good of the game is ok as long as you don't break them.

Most likely they're exploiting battle score increasing support Drones whilst using Dictator. You get some battle score for each teammate u boost with certain Drones, trickster gives 10bs for each boosted teammate. They give battle score(shown when u press TAB in battle), but crucially, not experience(shown on ratings page). Like I say Dictator also gives 10 battle score for each teammate boosted by its OD, but no exp.

So basically, they're exploiting that feature of these Drones + Dictator. They can top score easily in modes like TDM, where only kills count and no teammate scores get increased by captures. These bs-boosts can rack up score at a couple of touches of buttons that a normal player might take a few minutes to accumulate while going for kills in TDM. Could probably top score even if they play complete crap.

The dudes using this exploit to the max are barely helping their team, beyond giving them boosts...not attacking enemies or going for battle objective.etc. Their goal is to score minimal exp for max cry so they don't want to contribute anything other than teammate boosts. This is Tanki's idea of a perfectly efficient player, a clown that u know is only boosting u for their own benefit, let's u do all the hard work while they often gain more rewards than the people that actually make a difference in battles. LOL!...so much nonsense in this game nowadays.

Now as for improving KD...another part of the efficiency rating equation...Using battle Score boosting with Dict+Drone mentioned above isn't good for KD. Likely to get killed every now and again but never getting kills. So how is their KD good?...They may well be rigging pro battles or cheating in some other way with their mates to boost KD.

@Thiedes  How about the developers take a look at HORNET, that's been broken for months, and reported over a zillion times by hundreds of players, in dozens of posts in lots of topics. Much more important than some glitchy drone, don't you think.

1) Whether you say it once or a 100 times, the issue will be conveyed to the developers in a report anyways, so save your energy pal. 

2) Can we please stick to the topic of the question and keep complaints in relevant topics? 

3) Where there are players who want it to be nerfed, there are players who want it to be kept as it is. Developers are monitoring statistics and it is upto them to decide when, if and how much the nerf will be. We moderators only 'convey' the complaints, we don't have a say in it. 

Hopefully you understand my points.

Yip understand them very well. Just how many months do you need to monitor something that is obviously way op. And my energy levels are tip top by the way.

We send them feedback weekly as well as monthly. After that, it is up to them to decide when and how and if. Developers don't convey to us their decisions regarding a problem. We also get to know about them in News & Announcements topic along with the rest of player base.

Even I faced this after today's update. For the time being, to prevent it, you can tap double Armor right before spawning to cancel the auto activation. But you have to do it every time you die.

So, for those of us that could not sign in by 22:36 UTC time, we get nothing for losing almost a days worth of play time? Can you say another Tanki screw up?  Thanks a lot. not only you are incompetent, you continue to prove that you are dumb.

Marcus Koffleart-> Can you please feedback that this is not a fair compensation. How can they give 2hrs for people to redeem the compensation when the downtime was 7hrs? The folks on the other side of earth went to sleep already.

sir it only is activated when you collect it . you have up to 7 days before it is removed from the special mission section..

in other words if your off line within the next two hours its best not to collect it but wait for the time you could use it.. this way you get full advantageous of the pass.. or like I asked in another post if you do activate it and you have already a pass it would be just added on to it giving you another day..

My complaint is we only had 2 hours to collect it. We can't possibly be sitting at our desk waiting for the servers to recover. I monitored the downtime from UTC 1300 to UTC 1730 hrs and on my side of the planet, it was way time to fall asleep. Then servers recovered around UTC 2036 and they gave peeps till UTC 2236. So all the peeps who suffered from UTC 1300 to 1700 did not get compensated.

I think this is more what he means to say but I'm not him so .. I think he means that once you go into your special missions section you have now activated it .. but you have up to 7 days to collect the pass.. not 100% sure if this is what he was referring too.. anyone out there please correct..

As a token of apology for today's prolonged maintenance, each player can activate a special mission in the HTML5 or Android version of the game until 22:36 UTC +0 today. Once activated, players can claim their reward within 7 days. The reward of the mission consists of 1 day of premium account.
