Tesla turret may take a while to be released and while its mechanics are a total mystery, it does not help with out curiosity, does it? Well, no worries. The newspaper decided to give you an opportunity to design your own turrets and set its mechanics!

Following is all the information you need to know about the contest:

Task:

• Come up with a description of a turret (different from the ones inside the game).
• You don't necessarily need to define its textures, but you will need to explain how it works.
• Submit your entry via this form.
• Keep your entry between 190-210 words.

Rules: 

• Only ONE entry per participant.
• Crystals will be awarded to the winners on the account they entered from.
• Teaming up is not allowed.

Criteria:

It is important for the participants to know what they will be judged upon. Here is the criteria:

• General Writing ability.
• Ability to express in the given limit.
• Creativity.
• Grammatical evaluation.

Prizes:

First place: 70,000 Crystals , 6 Containers .

Second place: 55,000 Crystals , 4 Containers .

Third place: 45,000 Crystals , 2 Containers .

Consolation Prize: 25,000 Crystals .

That is what I meant. As long as it is your idea and you fulfill all the rules (in this case, it will not be considered as plagiarism), you can post them from I&S.

Done with my turret. What came out of 3 hours of brainstorming is a combination of railgun and Magnum. Bit complex but really intresting !!!

Guys, just saying. You can make a serious entry or you can even send in a funny one like:

I plan to make an incenerator that vapourizes a tank to shreds of ashes and increases its spawn time by 10 seconds. [obv increasing it to word limit]. 

I mean, as long as it is logical, its all good. Because remember, I said the only limit 8s your imagination.

Blob Gun turret

The turret throws a blob, a somehow translucid, sticky and wobbly coloured jelly thingy. Once a blob sticks to your hull/turret it never leaves you - like a clingy useless friend that you can never really get rid of. Each new blob that hits your tank will fuse together, and it will get bigger and bigger each time. The only way to get rid of it is thanks to the burning fire from a Firebird or the breaking cold from a Freeze turret.

It is such an interesting turrets idea which great potential for new battle modes, especially special format. For example:

# Blob Party - A special formatted battle mode that can be played only with Blob turrets. In this mode, players would throw multicolour blob at each other’s.

# s’More - An even better formatted battle mode that would oppose Blob turrets to Firebird turrets, the blob would stick to the opponent slowing them down to a halt when the blob becomes to big. By using fire the ally can reduces the blob size. Team get a point when all the Blob turrets are burned down, or all the Firebirds are immobilized by blobs.

This turrets guaranty 100% fun and will save Tanki from the brink of death.

What do you think of this turret?        A two-turret gun, a turret on a turret! ( i.e., Smoky on Railgun), where both turrets have the strengths and weaknesses of each other. the top turret would do less damage, but have a faster reload, and the bottom would have longer reload, but more damage. It would look like Twins rotated 90 degrees.The top turret reload speed, Mk. I -0: 3s, Mk VII-20: 1s; damage: Mk. I - 0: 300, Mk. VII -20: 450. Bottom turret reload speed:  Mk. I - 0: 4.5s, Mk VII - 20: 2.5s; damage: Mk. 1 - 0 : 550, Mk. VII - 20: 700. Juggernaut mode: Normal TJR turret, but with a Thunder-like turret on top. Top turret: controlled by  z,x,c keys, t to fire. Bottom turret: , . / keys, spacebar to fire. Bullets would be smaller for the Top turret and larger for the Bottom.

This is a really good idea. Honestly I had a lot of ideas but most were already somewhat in the game and you can only do one.

HEHEHE, I have a wonderful idea. It's probably not gonna win, but you never know. Oh crap I was gonna add something else to it and forgot.

 

And I just came up with another idea: The Firebird and the Freeze, rolled into one. It would slow the person down and burn them alive at the same time.

what i have used in the past was word perfect. and then what you do is copy and paste it into the contest entry location page. not sure what others use.. check with Sacrifice .
