You fire a slow traveling plasma ball, which damage enemies and heal allies (including you, just like Moira's ability in Overwatch). It explodes when it hit anything solid (walls, other tanks, etc) and deal massive damage (to you as well, which in my opinion should not behave like that).

we had those in Tanki X . it was a pain to use mostly when in battles . please nope ..

I played Tanki X and I actually like the spider mine quite a lot. It travels about the same speed of a medium hull (maybe a bit faster?) and track the target for a long long time.

This is the end of Tanki Online. The new hull does not even fit in the game and makes it very unbalanced and grumpy. 

Is this some ufo game now? Not my fault Tanki is losing all its players over these silly updates like adding Ares, making the game even more p2w etc.

These little details...

The game miss the Ares's Overdrive own logo (it currently displays Dictator's Overdrive) and the kill by Ares's OD shows the N2-Bomb kill.

Minimum damage looks like it is 500, 2 tanks get killed by their teammate ? ?

Background: Currently, Ares's overdrive (i.e. the slow traveling plasma orb) explodes and deal damage to EVERYONE (including enemies, Ares himself and allies) near it when it hits solid objects (the ground, obstacles, other tanks, etc).

Issue: The orb is designed so that team mates and the Ares are supposed to chase it for healing while the orb disperses clustered enemies. I would see it as a create opening for a team fight. Yet, the orb somehow explodes at the end and killed everyone near it, which defeats the purpose of healing team mates and damaging enemies.

Suggestion: The final explosion damages enemies while healing allies and Ares himself. Battle points are rewarded according to the damage dealt/number of kills (using standard equation) and healing done (using Isida healing equation). To balance it, it might required to reduce the damage and/or healing done.

The idea of hovering hull is being discussed since a few years ago. Are you really playing TO at that time?

500 is the fixed DOT done by the plasma ball.  Those 2500+ are the splash damage when the ball explodes (contacted an enemy ball/ hit a static obstacle)...

 

Not only killing teammates, the splash damage could kill the player him/her -self.

Which is something I think should be changed. This Overdrive is supposed to be an offensive support ability. Why would the devs make it explodes at the end and kill/damage everyone?

idk even this version!

Tank X was a spin off of tanki . it ran for 3 years and then they closed it. most of the items have been slowly being added into tank now.. some of the items are good and others destroyed the game play

You should not be grumpy, but happy - new stuff. Furthermore many existing mechanics in the game are futuristic, Ares is not weirder, just see it as a big drone.
Might be technology gifted to TO after the last UFO invasion visite on tanki.
Any player can buy the Hull with crystals, how does Ares make Tanki more P2W?

Is something activating the anti-cheat in battle? In almost all of my battles, after I spawn from being killed, I would randomly self-destruct immediately after my spawn protection wears off and then I won't be able to pick up drop boxes or damage enemies for the remainder of the battle. 

 

It's very irritating especially when it's a close battle.
