To conclude, Titan's OD: 

Wins: 3

Draw: 2

Lose: 2

Ignored: 1

You have waaaaay too optimistic views.  Titan loses to hornet+hunter+mammoth.  I don't see 3 "wins" and...

The viking can just move away and wait out the duration.  Or - if Titan in dome is injured a Magnum or Rail can do enough damage to kill a Titan in the dome.

The only "win" you have is vs Dictator - which can also move away and wait out the duration.

I said 5 ODs can counter it = and they do = no longer invincible.

Well, if you argue that "you can simply move away and wait for the duration to end", then I have nothing to say since this basically applies to all ODs. Besides, in certain game mode like CTF or point capture, you have already won the fight if you manage to force your enemies to back off.

 

Yes, when you are low on heath, extreme burst damage like Shaft and Magnum and kill you in the dome, but how rare is that.

Anyway... it ain't 3 "wins" and there are 5 counters.  That's my point.  Titan is weak because there are so many counters.

Haven't seen it yet - but Titan Dome better resist the Ares OD - or that will be 6 on the list.

Actually, my main complain of Ares's OD is the explosive at the end. For some reason, the orb heals you and your allies on the way, while it kills you at the end? This design is simply screwed. I'm not sure whether anyone pointed that out then they are in the testing server.

What is the blast radius?   And.... they should be consistent and treat it like wasp bomb - in terms of self-damage.

Yep, the blast radius is quite close to that of Wasp's bomb, but with much forgiving damage (4000 damage max, rapidly decrease over distance, on MK6 at least). I was hoping that the explosive would heal you instead of killing you.

Yep, and they gave us 1d premium as compensation. Basically, once any Ares uses his OD, HTML5 will crash.

I actually love Ares a lot, except the Overdrive. I can't use it in close range because the blast will kill me. I can't use it in mid to long range because the orb travels dead slow.

 

I wish the blast will heal me any allies and deal damage to enemies instead, just to make the overall "heal team mates, damage enemies" offensive support skill consistence.

I was playing in Parkour Space with a PC and I think that at least for PC the mechanics should be different, it's counterintuitive, it feels more like a floating feather than a heavy hull.

I think it should be more like regular hulls with the difference of not touching the ground. The rocking should be similar to the other hulls, if you move forward the front should lift up, and vice versa.

The turning circle should be smaller, therefore it should drift more.

And like I said the other day, there should be a light hover hull and a mid-weight hover hull. (Viking, Hunter and Dictator could be merged into 2 hulls to make room for a new one)

No, no, no. Ares overdrive does not need any nerfs. Ares overdrive plasma ball has been intended to be a destructive ball like Wasp's bomb. The only buff that Ares overdrive plasma ball needs is its travelling speed. Currently, it travels too slowly.

The main thing here is that Wasp has more control in the engagement. The Titan has to wait for the Wasp to act rather than the other way around. I don't know why they didn't make it like how it disables other Titan domes but the range in which it can disable a Wasp bomb is 20 metres and not 35 metres. The Titan had a chance to fail at destroying the bomb of it's far enough. I've died a few times because of this.

 

It's like Hunter Vs Dictator. Hunter has more control in that it can activate before the Dictator and win, and also activate right after the Dictator and win. Dictator can only win if it doesn't die within the 3 seconds it is stunned. And then its repair kit from the OD will likely be interrupted since it would be in a hurry to survive after being unstunned.

That's not a draw, that's a loss. The domes don't cancel each other out. The latter dome overwrites the first. Titan A puts down a dome, Titan B comes, activates theirs and now Titan B has protection while Titan A doesn't.

The plasma ball ignores the Rome's protection. Depending on the range at which Ares' OD was used, tehe control over the engagement differs. If they're both in each others' faces, then Ares' OD has more control. Ares is a hard counter.  

 

The Titan dome itself now has 6 counters.

The orb does horned the 90% protection. Trust me, I tried it.

Titan and mammoth are obsolete. The BFG is in the same class as beserk reactor, it is emerging as a new challenge to hornet players too!

I kind of like it I think, but I wish the blast would heal Ares instead of damaging it.

Are you using Flash? If you are, then you might face some issues entering the game. Use HTML5. Its much better in all ways. Please note that Flash will be discontinued in Tanki Online for good on December 12th 2020, as announced in V-Log 266.

I just don't want the blast to damage me. Even if the devs make it only damages enemies like the bomb of the Wasp. I would be happy with that.
