A good name which suits this new hull is Hummingbird. The reason why I named this hull Hummingbird is because it flies very fast and moves very quickly. Perhaps this new hull can outrun juggernaut. I hope so. Its overdrive sounds like a car crash, but it would be better if it sounded like a woodpecker instead.

If you compare how a real Hummingbird moves and swivels in real life to how this new hull swivels, you will find out that the hull's name "Hummingbird" is the absolute perfect name to use to name this hull. This hull is small as well, so the name Hummingbird suits its size as well. This is the most appropriate name in all its glory to use to name this hull. What a small and cute Hummingbird hull, this is.

It is me RIDDLER_8 which gave the name.

 I must admit that it is a good name (kolibri in Russian), however it is just not fierce enough it sound cute compared to other light hulls that have a bite to it (wasp, hornet). I have a preference for Raptor.

I like Semyon Strizhak - Tanki Online cup. Semyon looks very speculative in this shot here.

We want to know more about what exactly does the new Hummingbird hull's overdrive does.

@Viking4s

It is a good name. I assure you that the new Hummingbird hull will be fierce enough to beat up Hornet and Wasp hulls with ease. I bet this small hull will have enough armor to be strong enough like a medium or heavy hull. This fast moving hull will be speedy like juggernaut, but strong at the same time to survive being killed too easily by Wasps and Hornets.

Its overdrive is a thing of a speculation, for now, but my guess is that it is a crashing overdrive that deals instant death to any hull, including juggernaut itself.

@Viking4s

OK. Keep the good thing.

@DieselPlatinum

The hull's name can only be a single word like with all the current names for all existing turrets and hulls in your garage. My preference for a good name for this new lightweight flying and fast moving hull is Hummingbird. That is the name that suits it best. Trust me.

Oh, a new hull, great. Let's ignore the fact that there are tons of broken stuff in game. It should make the game better right?

No!!! If you add cool new stuff to a pile of mess, it will still be a pile of mess.

I'm so disappointed to see the Devs are introducing new stuff so that they can earn more in short term, instead of fixing certain game breaking issues which benefits them in long run. This also indicates the Devs attitude towards the game.

What is your plan Devs? On one hand, you are trying to migrate the game to a new framework, indicating you are planning to support the game in long run. You want players to use the new client so badly that you decided to remove existing functionalities from the old client. On the other hand, you keep introducing updates which can bring you profit in short terms, while completely ignoring the issues that can affect the game in long run, like the countless bugs and unoptimized part of the HTML5 client and poor balancing (e.g. Hornet and Titan's dome).

Not true.  More bugs and glitches will come together with the new stuff.  That's Tanki's norm.

I'm skeptical about the utility of automatic firing. Sure it could make Vulcan more managable since that's a turret with unique firing mechanics and really requires dexterity only a keyboard can provide. On the other hand a turret like Railgun has a delay before firing that you have to account for, which if this system just senses a possible hit and just fires will do a bad job teaching newbies about how to pre-fire before you leave cover. Railgun isn't a reactive turret like Smoky or Thunder, you have to pick a target and then shoot or the enemy can just avoid your attack entirely. Lok, Thu'um.

Will be fine for Vulcan, smoky, thunder and gauss arcade.

As for Rail - will work fine on campers hiding in bushes.  Those campers not moving and that we should not be able to "see".

In fact, Vulcan will not work very well. When you are using Vulcan, there are a lot of situations you will choose to keep firing despite no targets are in sight. This is because the barrel spin up and down time is quite noticeable. That's why Shooting speed regulator is great for mobile.

Yet,  after all, it is a mobile game. There is no way its control will even approach the agility of that of PC.

True. I like to think I've managed on my main account which is Titan-Rail, so not the most fast-paced gameplay, but even at that I had to learn the finger movements to get the hull to go where I wanted, tweak the settings so that all the gimmicks are off, and finally fine tune the sensitivity. I've persevered through three separate phones and now they're just going to dumb it down even more when mobile players such as myself already arguably have the advantage of a red hit outline showing when we can target something with hitscan weapons AND we had the ability to watch ads to change missions for free. I can't help but think AP is trying to make this version much simpler for the casual mobile gaming crowd while at the same time alienating the majority of players who I assume are simply using mobile to play on the go. Or the ones like me, who started off on PC back when flash was a thing and then had an incident with their computer and a wall at high velocity.

@TheCongoSpider  I know of the limitations of various turrets such as Vulcun, firebird, freeze, etc while using them on mobile. It is very hard to turn them appropriately at for shooting at melee or short range.

And that's why I only use SSR. With SSR I can turn the camera quickly and start shooting again immediately if an enemy happens to try to circle me or get behind me.

I have used this combo (Vulcun+Wasp) on mobile a few times. It doesn't work. That is why i had bought Shooting Speed Regulator last sale.

I was not asking you why vulcun with wasp doesn't work well on mobile. I was asking you of your opinion about which of the two following augments might do better after the "auto-firing turret" update (mentioned in this vlog) finally releases.

I hadn't used Wasp Vulcan with SSR because I predicted that at that point, I might as well use my Dictator for more stability, HP and a better suiting Overdrive.

If it will work like I think it will, then RAT would work better. More control over the hull would mean I can probably circle the target like I could on PC while firing at them. To circle them and keep damaging them I need maximum rotation speed. The caveat of that is I'd be focused solely on that engagement and not whatever else is around me so the impromptu tunnel vision would likely come back to bite me in the end.

On 9/11/2020 at 1:04 PM, At_Shin said:

I think SSR will become even better after that update because as soon as an enemy tank will come in my line of sight, my vulcun will begin firing. Even if the enemy hides behind cover, i can quickly restart my firing.

AT will probably get better too. I think that if an enemy tank comes in my line of sight, my vulcun will start rolling it's barrel. My concern is regarding the enemy moving out of my line of sight? Will my vulcun stop firing? Or will it continue firing while I turn the gun towards the enemy?

If the later happens to be true, then Aiming Transmission will likely become a good augment to use on mobile.

Yeah it'll depend on how exactly the auto-fire works. We'll have to wait and see.

I play with Hull follows stick enabled and movable stick disabled.

When I started playing mobile, I got frustrated moving the hull and tried looking for the setting that took this off and found it not too long after. Massive improvement. If you got accustomed to that then good for you. I couldn't.

Disabled hull follows stick and enabled movable stick. I found it very interesting to see you maneuvering your hull on mobile. You are very skillful at controlling it. This is because i am not able to control my tank with those settings.

Enabling the movable stick was important for me. As you can see in the video, I like driving my hull backwards, both on PC and on mobile. With the stationary stick, I don't have much room to slide my thumb to drive backwards comfortably. So when I drive backwards I put the stick at the top of the screen to get much more room to turn.
