I'm not crazy about them, but I have an alt acct with an XP turret skin and I must say I enjoy the look....it's pretty cool.  I understand the draw...especially if you are spending lots of real money and a cool skin is only $XX.  IMO this is how Tanki should be making money...selling things that don't actually impact game-play.  Vanity items are a great way to generate revenue and not hurt anyone.  And some people are gonna buy them for sure. 

This is one of the very few updates I give a thumbs up to...even though the previous way was more fun for me.  You rank up to get a feeling of accomplishment as your hull changes looks...it was also easier to see who was a higher ranked player.  But Tanki needs to pay the bills, and this is a pretty good way to approach puffing the bottom line.

LOL On the previous missions (last weekend) I've got 125 DA from one ultra container, 125 DD from another and epic 3500 cry from the third container! This is a reality bro!

First thing people are paying attention to when seeking for a new game are the game's looks and visuals. A game with up-to-date graphics is first-glanced superior to a game with low-quality. Age has nothing to do with that; cosmetic items do attract "certain people" however, but that is not what I am discussing here. In the long run game-balance is most important indeed, but again that is not what this is about. 

We cannot know how the new graphics will turn out, let's be patient and see what will come to us

This is not going to happen because Ultra skins are premium skins that cost money, it’s not fair to buyers, imagine you buy something and that thing becomes free in the future.

I honestly didn't like how they converted all stock skins to Mk7. No way to find out who's legit Mk7, and who should be avoided in battle. Gear Score is an ok-ish indicator, but it isn't shown on mobile. Also, it takes quite some time to check who's got what GS on PC.

Current skins will receive a make-over; they will receive more polygons and will look more 3D-ish. The release of Ares already forecasted this, the hull looking more detailed and fresher than the other hulls. So yes, all skins will resemble the current UT-skins, but I am convinced there will still be distinction between these types of skins - it can be expected that XT-skins and perhaps legacy skins will get this same transformation, I don't know how it will affect prime-skins since these were reverted 2D-designs of the Ultra 3D-models. I had a discussion with Maf about this and both of us were uncertain what changes this update would bring to skins in general. 

The idea that all turrets and hulls receiving the same skin was discussed months ago with the Mk-update, however devs hadn't come back to it until now. Since it is heaps of work to modify all existing skins, I do understand that they decided to pick only one skin per equipment-part. 

I do not know how this update will affect UT containers. Apart from UT-skins, the UT-prizepool does contain a larger variety of rewards compared to normal containers

If that's how the default skins will change, then I guess it's fine. But I feel like that's not how they'll turn out to be in the end.

Having earned 3 days of premium in a standard container is the perfect time now to receive it to complete the crazy weekend mission faster and more effectively.

Thanks to this double experience points that this discount weekend gave me that I managed to rank up to Legend 42. Discount weekends overall are the perfect time for players to rank up.

If it wasn't for this discount weekend, I would not have made it to the Legend 42 rank. When I get to Legend 43, I would have accumulated 10 million experience points for the first time. My premium time also help me achieve the Legend 42 rank as well.
