Recommended GS for each rank?

 Share

Recommended Posts

Ever since GS has been put in the game I've always wondered what the recommended GS a player should have for each rank.

Also would be a good guideline for players to determine if their tank is strong enough to meet those recommendations.

What do you think?

It's an interesting idea, but I don't think it is necessary to have this feature. Gear score doesn't really mean much as it doesn't take into account skill whatsoever. You could technically have the lowest gear score in a battle but still be the best player. Also, some players might have the highest gear score possible, but they may want to use a different combination that has fewer upgrades.

I actually very much want to see what numbers the devs recommend. After the Mk conversion and augment change, the average GS in the mid ranks went down. Now we have the boosted EXP with less crystals to compensate which I presume will further decrease the average GS in the mid ranks.

If every player in the game have 9999 GS and you just have 9998 GS yes you could

Edit: though the joke, you can't compete with others if you have less GS whatever you're a skillful. If you have a Mk5 equipment and your opponent have Mk7+ and Drones let your skills benefits you (isn't a joke this happens a lot)

About your opinion for what this should stand?

from the first ranks Drones gives you 600 GS, and IMO non-buyers should not use the drones.. so I can assume there is a change 600GS in every rank

also for what should it stand? for buyers accessibilities or non-buyers, If it was standing on buyers it should be 9999 GS from rank Lieutenant Colonel up

Or its stand for average players in the rank? ok if it is, for which equipment of the player's garage should it stand for?

BTW, both of the above is bitter for Tanki,

About first one so every player in those ranks will know how is the gap between him and others

and the second one, players will know how the average GS should be and will be annoyed after seeing a buyer higher than them a lot..

1) When you say "skill" you mean that the player knows how to use their turret, hull, and overdrive, right?

2) but what determines that exactly?

3) in this current state of the game especially with the exp boost, it would be unwise to have too many combos unless you were a legend rank, a heavy buyer, or just got ridiculously lucky in containers.

Does not address the request.  It's recommendation by rank, not battle.

In general, many players might want to know how their equipment rates vs their peers.  Helps to guide them on upgrading or buying something else.

GS depend on how many protection module you wear and also on other factor like drone and augment.
When s the right rank to start to have Drone?
The supposed GS for a specific rank would overlap.

Easy. Just add about 322 GS for each rank until you reach Legend lmaooo

Take (322) x (Rank #) = your average GS you should have.

Oh damn, that means I'm waaaaay behind...

If you can keep up, I guess you don't have to upgrade. When it gets tough, upgrade the combo you use the most.

Target GS is largely pointless since:

- devs allow low ranks to have fully upgraded equipment with sky-high GS
- battle outcomes are largely random and mostly depend on how many AFK's u have in the team
- money can boost your GS a lot, well that's a sad fact of life

So, if for example we say that a Major should have 5k GS what does it mean? If you are 4k is that really bad? Nah. But if you are 6k is that cool? Kinda, but not a lot.

No worries. Looking at your profile, you are doing a well job keeping yourself on both legs/tracks. You got a nice K/D for only using Vulcan and Hunter Mk1, try keeping it while climbing higher in the ranks.

Back in the days I used to chug through the low ranks too with my rusty Smoky/Hunter M0 - when I hit WO2 my K/D had severly decreased so I decided to start upgrading my gear ?
