Hello all! We've been anxiously awaiting the results - and finally, they're here. Congrats to the winners!

Note: before we begin, there's a small point to address. A lot of entries were under or over the word count, leading to only about a couple dozen valid entries out of 75, so I extended the word limit from 150 to 250 (from 190 to 210). Anyways, it's time to announce the winners - let's go! We've got a very close race out of the top four...

 

In first place, well this entry was hilarious, coherent, and a cut above every single other entry - it's @Volturo, winning 80 000 crystals and 10 containers.

Pandamonium

Medium-range turret. Shoots an embarrassment of pandas (yes, that’s what a group of pandas is called… I looked it up) at the target. Developed after an unfortunate accident involving a curious panda crawling into the barrel of a tank gun (RIP Bamboo; you will be missed), “Pandamonium” was forged using the latest technologies in robotic warfare. Once a target is acquired, the turret shoots out four robotic life-like pandas, who then latch onto the hull of the target and crawl their way into the tank itself. If the tank is an enemy, the pandas will destroy it from the inside out, dismantling the inner foundation of the tank by gnawing at the metal, and their added weight will slow the tank down. However, if the target is an ally, the pandas will use their skills for good and help repair the tank with their prior experience as a team of mechanics. Once the pandas are done with their work, they return home and climb back into the barrel of the turret, where they will rest until they are needed again. Don’t underestimate these cute and cuddly creatures, for they could mean the difference between life and death.

 

And in a very close race, second place goes to XxxShadowRailgunXxx, who wowed us with a great sense of humor. For such a piece, you'll be taking a great prize package of 60 000 crystals and 8 containers!

The Baby Boomer
’’The Baby Boomer’’ commonly referred to as the diaper cannon. This unique turret accommodates the ability to launch Dirty Diapers out of its single barrel with highly modified precision . As impractical as it may seem this turret is no joke, the very mention of its name it strikes fear into the hearts of the most valiant tankers in the battlefield. The Baby Boomer is the most eccentric turret, supporting a variety of features never seen on any other machine. In its main mode it acts as a sniper rifle capable of firing its ammunition encased in the most cataclysmic rounds powerful enough to completely pierce through the armors of even the most sturdiest tanks seen in the battlefield, on the other hand in its arcade mode this unique turret is able to fire 3 HE Rounds (High Explosive) in a row with the flaw of an exceptionally slow reload time. This turret is embodiment of the pain and frustration of the parents who have babies, those men and women with stomach disorders and those people who have fought with highly explosive diarrhea.

Turret “Mebble”:

It releases toxic bubbles that seemingly pop upon hitting enemy tanks, giving the impression that they are harmless. They are, in fact, quite the opposite. The moment a bubble pops, it covers the enemy-Tanker's screen with a hilarious meme, fresh from Google, for as long as the enemy tank moves immediately after coming in contact with the toxic bubble. If the enemy-Tanker doesn't stop his tank within the next 7 seconds, he will laugh so hard that he'll just die. No Tanker, no tank. The Mebble user will get the kill. Easy. However, if the enemy-Tanker stops his tank within 7 seconds of touching the bubble, then his tank will be bombarded with actually toxic bubbles that will slowly corrode the tank's metal. The concentration of bubbles and their toxicity will, of course, decrease with distance. Mebble will also have a second “firing” mode. The back end of Mebble will actually be a screen that’ll show the same hilarious meme to other enemy tanks, who may die of laughing if they get too close. Ally tanks will see motivational messages. A laser on top of the screen will mislead enemies. Enemy Tankers under heavy fire from Mebble, beware. You may not re-spawn (though your tank will).

 

And yet again, we had another close game, but in the end, fourth place and 45 000 crystals and 4 containers goes to @GaussTester. All I wish is that this turret doesn't end up actually appearing in the shop for $9.99...

Monolith

Hey you! Yeah, you. Don't you ever find every single turret to be too consistent for your liking? Well, have I got the solution for you! This new turret, named Monolith, will solve all your problems! Originally an artillery battery used long ago, this turret has undergone extreme modifications to fit snugly on any tank. However, the firing system has long been defective, and shots only have a 1% chance of hitting a desired target. Since each shell has to be put in manually, the turret reloads every 30 seconds. This turret can shoot 5 shells before needing to self destruct, as shells are a finite resource on the tank, and need to be replenished every so often. Best of all, the massive size of the turret makes it impossible to turn your turret or move your tank in any way, leaving you helpless on the battlefield. This turret was originally added on Aprils Fools of last year as a joke, but the developers are all but too lazy to remove it from the game. With this new turret, no one will fear you, because the Monolith renders your tank useless. So why wait? Go test it in battle yourself!

Indeed, Volturo's entry was Pandamonic. Loved it.

Diapers was disgustingly creative, but I loved it!

Monolith was my favorite entry though!

Thanks bro, but these were not in the OP where the contest is defined and explained, one should update the OP too, to make it clear. With the current newspaper team a funny entry do have better chance to win.

Anyway it is all in the past now, and it sprouted something else..

Uhm, he didn't specifically say funny or unrealistic; however, it should have been a coherent description like the turret descriptions in the garage, so they ideally should tell you about the turret with a touch of humor.
