You want us to move to html5? Make it more convenient for low - end pc's. It lags so much for me whenever I enter the html5 version and takes forever to load. Except this I have no problem with html5 but removing flash options and forcing us to move to the html5 version before fixing the lag is not only annoying for me, but I think also for many other players. PLEASE FIX THE LAG IN HTML5!

They can't fix the lag while they're so busy keeping Flash alive... That's what they've been saying this whole time. If you want improvements, the easiest way to get them is to move to HTML5 and just hold out while they fix them. But if people don't move, the bugs and annoyances will never be fixed.

So I'm trying HTML coming from flash, but I find problems here too. Every now and then it freezes and does not respond as it should, it also happened to me that in the middle of the game I found myself with the wagon practically stationary and no longer manageable. Another problem is that sometimes it gives the wrong account of what we have in stock, for example I still had 145 mines and instead it indicated that I was zero. Another very annoying and incomprehensible thing is the use of the shift button on the left of the keyboard to activate the overdrive, but you could not return this command to the long key on the right much more practical when playing, as in today's position it is difficult to activate it, for those who use the right, without taking their hands off the controls with the effect that the overdrive does not start several times and is killed. the other way around. Another annoying thing are all the yellow and red outlines of the wagons that in the close fight do nothing but confusion, also in this case activate the option to see them or not always in the setting. Graphics to be improved perhaps by taking the best things from flash in this topic.

The way it is now,  HTML5 does NOT work in older PC´s (at least a I3 processor is required).  So I fully understand the reasons for migration, but I also must say goodbye to the game as soons as flash version disapears.

2. hopper. think when they fully upgrade and every buyer gets it.

4. Electromagnetic Pulses from gauss.

" Thank you for understanding and for staying with us. "

Seriously?

Listen very carefully Tanki...

Every single last one of you that got one board with this decision is a pathetic waste of space.   It was unnecessary, undesirable, served no purpose, and petty, just petty.

I'd say you should be ashamed of yourselves, but that would far to too much of an understatement.  Your pointed effort to ostracize the core constituency into leaving so as to clear a slate for your brain dead mobile players to not feel chastised or somehow less of players than desktop players is so low and so base and so dismissive it's insulting.

You want to play games with interfaces designed in 2009. You want  new players to play Tanki and want Tanki to have 100K+ online, but new players don't like the Flash 2009 interface.

It's like you wanna drink a cup of tea but you do not want it to be in any container, you just want tea liquid itself. That's impossible.

Who said they want 100k players online? Those days are gone. The developer team had something to with that.

They are hardly willing to make any compromises whatsoever, and probably disregard suggestive feedback on updates other than bug fixes and ideas / suggestions. We can see where their business choices / decisions got them with Tanki X.

Tanki is not a console game, no one asked for an interface upgrade. It's more than obvious it's for your business agenda.

Solution - Flash like interface in HTML5 before it's working properly. Old players will appreciate it, it's the least you can do.

God, I`m so glad now I have not invested a single dollar in this worse and worse game.    ?

It was money well spent up until this current period.

The best option probably is for the game to be sold to developers / a management team who know what they are doing.

In a couple of months when their user base gets shattered maybe something will enter these impenetrable skulls to release a retro interface / Flash like graphics and menu.

Maybe modify the way the camera works a bit as well.

It's like someone taking the iPhone you've been using for years and forcing you to accept an Android phone, with all your data gone.

I am very sure that the CPU is a way more important factor than RAM, since the amount of RAM doesn't determine how smooth a game runs

I'd say each factor is only as important as the potential bottleneck - good CPU, bad graphics - bad performance, bad CPU - good graphics card probably shaky performance as well.

So many modes to choose from  ? Thanks for removing this option from Flash, makes it easier to get straight to the gameplay.

@Ap3xA1pha

Yes, it is true and everything must be powerful and have a good performance. All the components in my PC are top perfect. That is the reason why playing Tanki Online and Universe Sandbox on my PC works so well and so fast.

No. That video above is an 8-bit game. That can even run on a 1990s Acorn Archimedes ARM processor running the RISC OS 3.11 operating system. I used this kind of gaming PC when I was at Linwood School in the United Kingdom.

Please read the following links:

Acorn computers: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Acorn_Computers

RISC OS: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/RISC_OS

Linwood School Campus: https://linwood.bournemouth.sch.uk/linwood/

=========================================================================================================================

Tanki Online needs a fairly powerful computer to run the HTML5 version of the game. However, HTML5 is being optimized and fine tuned to work on lower specification laptops with at least 2GB of RAM. That is laptops between 2003 to 2005.

Why do people keep pointing to Tanki X as an example of AP's incompetence? TX, in my opinion, improved over TO in many ways, except for the amount of content (fewer maps and gamemodes) - dev team more responsive to player feedback, less P2W, better balance, more interesting game mechanics, much better graphics, skill-based matchmaking, more opportunities for free players to obtain items that would be locked behind a paywall in TO.

Maybe because, according to their own words the market they tried to enter was already saturated, and no one had any real incentive because, no one asked for:

  • A version of Tanki that only runs on really good hardware, meaning a certain amount of players wouldn't be able to move
  • Being told we would have our progress transferred, which they went back on
  • Other reasons

They just do what the like, that is why I am using it as an example. Not because it was an improvement.

It is the same thing with HTML5, it is supposed to be better, but NO ONE WANTS IT!

Once they have enough, they'll just pull the plug. This is just another 'game' for them, don't think @Marcus or the developer team actually care about you when you can see how they are making players feel in game and on the forum, he is there to do a job and will leave the moment he feels like it.

The shop will soon be disabled and closed from the Flash version soon. Expect that in a week or two.

Haha I really wonder when they'll disable the shop. Maybe that should be next on their list. We'll see if your predictions are correct.

They don't care about their loyal player base at all. Probably because they don't even read the English Forum as much (if at all)

The fact that they contemplated pulling the plug on the only proper client in the game shows that they'll probably start advertising / maybe revamp their affiliate system

You guys honestly need to wake up.

The point of HTML5 is to attract new players, it has been implied that most of the players don't even engage with the forum, as you can see in the last couple of years views for the News Section have gone down considerably.

They already know a lot of the existing user base is leaving anyway, and from the VLOG's they'll be creating new maps, hulls, turrets, etc. To revamp the game..

This is where their buyer community lies, who have no problem with migrating and buying as much as needed.

The only thing the developers care about is money, and if user enjoyment / new players is the way to do that, they'll do it.

The only reason Flash functionality hasn't been completely terminated is to probably milk as much money out of players as possible.

It's a shame the game has to be run by incompetent developers, but I have had a lot of good times in the game.
