It is not that good for game balance ..but who cares about that, right?   Super quick and seems to be able to hit what ever target with whatever position.

I bought Hopper on an alt along with Magnum and am really enjoying the combo (and I've had zero experience with Magnum before). Mostly I see other people using it with Railgun and Gauss, and they can't utilize the jumping tactic effectively to shoot down targets; they use it just for the stun and burning effect. But with Magnum I can jump and easily land direct hits on a bunch of enemies from behind high buildings and walls. It's a nice hull.

Wow, Hopper is really fun to use in Space mode! It makes solo parkour a lot easier, because the OD sends you sky high and Hopper can be controlled in mid-air. This means you can go in places that would normally be very difficult to reach or even inaccessible.

Here are two screenshots I took in a parkour battle. The map is Future.

Is this your highest account?

Wait until you encounter a hopper with Defender drone + high modules.  Then see how easy it is to kill.

(FYI... you might want to consider concentrating on 2 or at most 3 turrets from now on. Trying to upgrade that many will leave you short of crystals later on.)

Yeah, this is my highest account. I have been playing sporadically since around 2014-2015 (I don't remember). I have so many turrets because I couldn't decide what I liked. I don't play on this account anymore anyway.

Regarding hopper and defender drone and modules, I believe you are right. Most people only have Mk1s, so I don't mind yet. I don't plan on playing at higher ranks though.

I bought a Hopper but - don't laugh - I don't know how to turn the turret.

I can move, but my Ricochet turret is fixed and always points in the same direction - as does the hull.

I'm playing on a Mac with keyboard controls. Have I missed something?

You in Commander and don't know how to turn the turret?

ZXC ---> if you don't know

Thanks, that does usually work. But it's not working for me with Hopper.

In fact, I checked in the garage, and the animation shows the turret rotating, so it's clearly a bug that only takes effect in battles.

Thanks. I'd never seen that before.

I'm going to be a much better player from now on.

It is so good to see Hopper in the garage. Now that this new hull has been released in the garage, now I can see lots of players using it in battles.

Hopper is a great hull. It moves fast, but it does not use its overdrive very often. Why is this happening? Was Hopper's overdrive nerfed too much?

The event mode that was available a couple weeks ago had special settings where the overdrive recharged extremely fast. That was intentional for that particular mode, but the recharge rate is much lower in normal battles in order to keep it balanced.

@Maf

I understand that Maf, but from what I saw with all the Hoppers in the last tens of battles I have played today, Hopper's overdrive recharges too slowly. I would suggested that Hopper's overdrive be rechargeable at the same rare as Ares's overdrive so that it can be used multiple times within a battle.

What's all this talk about sniper Hopper? If you want a sniper, just use Hornet, lol. Hopper has so much more potential, if you learn how to dance around the battlefield, and pair it with a weapon that can take advantage of your fancy maneuvers.

It recharges at least as fast as Ares, if not faster. In fact, the recharge rate is quite broken (OP) in many ways, for example when you use the overdrive and score a goal, you'll instantly have 70% of the overdrive ready again. A powerful ability like that shouldn't be possible to use so often. 4-5 times per battle should be the norm.

I also think that the EMP effect should be removed. It's way too powerful.

@CrazyJack_EN - @CrazyJack_EN

No. Hopper's overdrive is not overpowered. Its perfectly fine.

@At_Shin

The EMP for Gauss must remain. Its not too powerful. It is fine. This EMP alteration is supposed to remove all active supplies and deal significant damage to enemies. In some ways, its is very helpful when many enemies have 50% protection modules equipped against the Gauss turret.

It does have EMP. My supplies get disabled when an enemy Hopper activates its OD.

Either the stun or the EMP should be removed/replaced with something else to make it different from Hunter's OD.

Ugly, ugly, ugly.

As a "tank" game, this has been thrown completely off balance. You now have whole battles being dominated by splash damage turrets with double damage and hovering abominations that are either too fast or too well armoured.

Do you mean EMP Gauss? Because Hopper OverDrive stuns. It doesn't take away enemy supplies. So, hopper overdrive doesn't have EMP effect.

I get those two confused. Yes, the stun should be removed. But since you mentioned it, EMP Gauss definitely needs a nerf too. When I join a battle and the first thing I have to do is check Tab specifically for any EMP alts — that is not normal.
