That's interesting. Can you switch between those modes mid-game? If so, how?

There was actually a similar system for this in World of Tanks. On a few tanks, you could switch between better gun stats or better mobility, and on others, you could switch between better speed or better agility. The X key was used to change modes, you could do it mid-game and it took a few seconds.

I like the idea for changing modes, it would make the hull a lot more versatile. Another idea might be to have a hull that switches the first way (maybe improved turret rotation and damage - this would be realistic because you'd have a more steady platform to fire from).

Maybe by pressing forward and backward move buttons?

At the same time?

hmm. probably at the same time. though that can be put into the game, but I don't want to  copy one other games idea. If world of tanks lets us add those, then I'm up for it.

I feel like the hovering hulls should have a setting in settings for Strafing right-left with keyboard. I think this is what they were before releasing (in test server). In Keyboard shortcuts section

And they must be empty by default.. And you can set a key for it.

I'm not sure if I can master them, but I feel like I can. I'm a Laptop user, my setup and the place I sit in isn't a perfect for mouse control, most of the time I feel I struggle to use it effectively.   Hovering hull aren't a playable without mouse, strafing is too important. Our "balanced" hopper can move sideways at the same speed of moving straight.

Also I think there should be a changes for Mouse controls interruptions, when I play Hopper sometimes I want to stop using mouse for a while. But it can't move turn right or left, just strafing, I have to turn Mouse OFF from settings. Which isn't conventional

I think a really good idea would be to create a hull, medium or heavy, with the overdrive of airstrike. I think this would be really great and make people want to join and even play more, I really hope this idea could happen, please and thank you.

Anyone else think that when both hunters activate their ODs and one stuns the other before the other one can, the stunned hunter in mid OD doesn't get its od completely reset? I think that it should leave the other stunned hunter's od at about 50% or more.

Whenever I use Hunter and I see another Hunter with OD close to me, I never activate my OD.

It's not like you can't control it. If you see a Hunter with their OD ready, you can either activated a few seconds before and go close to them, making full use of the activation delay, or not use your OD when you are in full combat with the enemy Hunter.

yeah but there are moments when you miscalculate and accidently press it a millisecond after the other hunter does

Well since the delay is 1.1 seconds, if you activate it "a few seconds before" you just wasted the OD, no?

The point is, it's a very delicate balancing and one of the two Hunters gets hosed.  50/50 chance.  Most ODs don't have that problem because their OD is either instantaneous, or they can activate more than a few seconds in advance.

And that's the purpose of this, it takes some practice. I only use Hunter on my low rank account and I never have problems dealing with other Hunters. It takes a while getting used to, but once again that's the point of it. Most of the time, I either use my OD before completely reaching the enemy, so when I do reach them, I can immediately stun them. Or I just don't activate it at all and wait to use it after the enemy Hunter has used it. Just my opinion.

Just pay more attention to your enemies and it won't happen to you.

Why you came with this complicated example.

You can basically say that Hopper OD can immediately disqualify Hunter OD. So if you saw Hopper you don't have to calculate better or use it before you go to the enemy, no you just have to not use your OD.

So just don't use it?   LOL.

You have a 50% of it failing when encountering another hunter.  That's pretty crappy odds.

Wait until you are higher rank and have more input.

If you use it against another primed Hunter 50/50 chance you fail since they are doing the same thing you are doing.

If you don't use you are probably gonna die - tanks don't last long in the upper ranks when they are stunned with no suplies.

First off, my lower ranked account is Captain, and I believe at that rank, most people are already pretty skilled, and lots of times I have to pkay against higher ranks, Marshal and above.

Secondly, there is no "chance" involved in this. You either press "Shift" before or after the enemy Hunter does, and whoever does it first, stuns the other tank. When i use Hunter I also have to take into account my Ping, because on my screen it may look like I activated OD first, but on the server, the other guy activated his OD first.

Just takes getting used to, this is dependent on skill. It's not rolling a dice.

Same thing happens when two mammoths fight. One gets highly damaged and the other one just dies.

Kind of important though... right?

The losing Hunter is stunned, and without supplies - probably gonna get destroyed.  It loses a big chunk of OD charge for nothing.  At least the losing mammoth damaged the enemy - because it's OD activated.

If an OD does not activate AT ALL (as in Hunters case) then it should not lose the OD charge.

If you have a Mammoth and you saw an enemy who use its Mammoth OD, the choice is up to you, you can join the gamble using your OD and see who kill the other, or save your OD for another time.

But for Hunter, it's mostly a clashed fight you both use it at the same time, but a difference of milliseconds happen.

Except if you assume At-Shin that you and the enemy are moving cheek by jowl, then you both decided in a moment to use the OD.

Do you consider it unfair that Hunter counters Ares and Crusader's Overdrives?
