Ideas for Hulls and Overdrives!

Play hopper yourself.. youll see the nerfs it got but dont use the three drones I listed. I do use vulcan and striker lol. Striker is actually a strong turret. NGL heck I can say that striker is way better than thunder and possibly rail with its fire rate over damage ratio. And it gets doubled crit damage.

As I've said before I think Hopper's characteristics are balanced. The problem is with drones and map design. Trying to address the Hopper problem by tweaking its statistics will either not work or make it far too weak.

Best solution is to rebalance the drones not the hull its self. But to be fair the amount of nerfs I have listed does hinder it a lot. And to be usable in battle you do need those three drones.

Mainly because turrets aren't toxic if they can be properly balanced and its nice to have a new gun, we kinda need more of them, one a year or two is really slow, compared to a lot of other shooter games I like.

And the stunning effect is one of the most used effects in video games (commonly, and logically, associated with electricity lol), so Tanki should add a new (balanced) electric turret that stuns as it's special feature. That would be nice :)

 

But yeah, EMP and AP can be deleted. We don't need them, and shouldn't EMPs be the explanation behind stuns, for mechanical tanks? Doesn't make sense why the two are separate lol.

Nah. They both gotta go.

 

The gross turret is a hybrid of smoky, striker, thunder, railgun, magnum, and shaft. Plus it has a really high chance of dominating the battles like a 90% chance.

 

And stun turret augments are just hella annoying. The stun, AP, and EMP can stay in ODs but not in turret augments.

And make it unique by giving it a stun effect on its salvo. It practically shoots lightning in its shot effect lol.

Of course, ideally, the salvo should be harder to utilize and the damage should be much lower with a short stun duration, like only 2 seconds.

Yeah I agree, but what if Tesla got a stun alteration (because it is an electric turret) where each shot stuns you for 0.1 seconds but something else about the turret is nerfed to compensate? Would that be annoying or alright?

Gauss and stun augments should just be removed, there is no way to make them balanced. Only reason why I said the stun, AP, and EMP should stay in ODs is because ODs happen alot less often than turret damage.

Well I clearly stated that hopper would be useless without those three drones but other than that I think hopper is balanced as a hull and with the nerfs it got.

If you were still playing, you'd quickly realise that there is still quite a number of droneless players at endgame. - _-

What is your definition of "quite a number"?

Why would that be?

1) they lose out on getting supplies up to max value

2) they lose out on whatever benefit the drone itself offers.

Are these all low-rankers that end up playing against high-rankers because of the ridiculous rank-spreads?  Or did they fix that while I was away for 8 weeks?

These are likely players that are unaware. 

 

There are those at sub-Legend ranks, and those at Legend ranks. Go into any random battle and you'll very likely 1-3 players without a drone or a barely upgraded drone. Increase the capacity of the map, increase that number.

You can stop making guesses and start seeing facts if you just play. You haven't even played against a Tesla after its garage release yet were quick to shut down the suggestion of nerfing Titan's Overdrive, of which the complaint was brought up because of, guess what, Tesla.

Drones in general are too expensive to maintain and upgrade. Brutus on the other hand you dont have to worry about battery consumption and extra supply consumption, but upgrading it is expensive. You still need about 2 million crystals to upgrade it to max.

Yeah, but they could still have it equipped.

The shaft one makes sense because rapid fire mode will allow you to take down up close enemies very quickly.

The other two could've happened because they were previously in a parkour battle and either forgot to change or simply didn't care.

I notice that they change into such equipment in parkour quite often when they are in a fight.

Granted but brutus would still be pointless use if it isnt upgraded. Its still too weak to use. So might as well play without a drone if people cant afford it. A good substitute for people that cant afford drones would be status augments. Or anything that applies status effects in the matter. Other good substitutes would be using augments that significantly increase the damage of a turret, like HC for shaft, LCR for railgun, Uranium for striker, and etc.

incy wincy spider is and overdrive that allows you to remotely kill an enemy 

When you activate this overdrive a spider mine will come out of your tank you control the spider with the mouse or u control it by using (a,w,s,d) the overdrive lasts for 10 seconds 

The spider has a limit it can only go more further or far if you follow it 

The spider will be red for the red team and blue for the blue team 

What is goog is you can make the spider go in circles

Wait, is this inspired from Dragonfire from CODM?

A good idea but there are a bit of issues. I think this might be a bit weak, the way you proposed it.

Go in circles? I am sorry but I couldn't understand what you intended to imply.

1 mine is no good. I think it would be really good if the overdrives deploy 4-5 mines which automatically seek and destroy enemies in their vicinity. Not like they can go across the map to the other end but.... you get it right?
