Ideas for Hulls and Overdrives!

An OD that can destroy multiple enemies and curse with status effects those that survive DOES actually have an effect on the battle.

Any OD can seem useless if not used properly.  Turning on viking oD when you are in a poor aiming position or dont have DA handy can be "pretty useless".  As is the Hunter OD that fails when the Hunter is killed.  Etc, etc...

I don't think wasp in particular should get any buff in its OD. Earlier it was used to plain damage, it was understandable to get one-shot or killed completely if near the wasp's bomb and otherwise subsequent damage with be dealt inversely proportional to the distance (The more distance u at, less damage will be dealt to your tank).

Then came the recent wasp's OD buff which applied EMP, stun and fire status effect to your tank even with maintaining some distance with the bomb. This is a pretty huge buff in the general meaning, now I can get my 3/4th of the health wiped out  + status effect applied, if in a crowded place then you are an easy kill & most of the time you get killed on your own.

In fact I suggest a nerf in either these status effects or either the damage dealt.

And I agree, wasp was WAY overbuffed when it received all those status effects. If it needed a buff, it could've just received burn and jam effects and that would've been fine.

 

Personally, I would remove its ability to inflict stun and EMP. Then it wouldn't be so broken like it is now.

Honestly, the whole status effects thing should not exist. I like to think of things from a scientific standpoint (don't scream "Isida!"), and sure, if you wanna carry an onboard nuke on your tank that's fine. But an onboard flamethrower nuke that shoots electricity and radio waves? Nahhhhhh. So I think every status effect should be removed, disabling other ODs should be removed, damage should be buffed/upgrade-able, and range should be buffed/upgrade-able. The bomb is supposed to be a one-shot for pretty much everyone, but that doesn't work at any rank from Major up. It's solely a damage-dealer that can be placed in just the right way to have maximum effect, not a flamethrower.

an overdrive which allows you to put up a disguis of an enemie team and spy in the enemies teams base,when you activate it yoy will have an enemie teams color and will not be tracked down, an enemie can kill and your team can not kill you, distarct your enemie then snatch the flag and run of,it lasts for 10 seconds.

maybe this should be a special feature you get in a high rank,like a supply but that is if there is no future hulls.

But this idea is good as a sneak attack.

There's actually a movie that was released about two years ago called "Spies in Disguise" featuring Will Smith and Tom Holland, and I read this title and thought "We're bringing Will Smith into Tanki now?"

Aaaaaaaaanyways.

I mean, I get the idea, but I'm not sure it would work. What's to stop your teammates from thinking you're an enemy and shooting you, then going and complaining about the no-damage bug that popped back up? You'd probably have to make it so only your enemies saw you differently. Then again, can you shoot your enemies while disguised as one of them? If so, that's kinda overpowered, and it blows your cover.

In my mind, "Cloak" or simply "Disguise" would be a much better name for this OD. (Will Smith vibes intensify.) And the hull would be Ninja or something similar. Unless it's an ability... but then it feels like a status effect and dear gosh we do not need any more of those.

I feel like the invisibility OD on a hull like Phantom that's been suggested a billion times would be better. But still weird.

Although I will not lie; having this in the game would really be super fun.

Anyways, cool idea; however in a real battle in real life would enemies have special red names on top of them to tell you they're enemies? No. Of course that makes a lot of stuff in tanki not real, but this is just Idk, it is pretty Lee for overdrive; also, if isida from enemies see you low in health and comes up to 'heal' you.... xD same for healing emitters shaft.

Wasp's OD is one of the strongest ODs in the game, it also applies the most status effects out of all overdrives. You need to use it wisely.

what if viking overdrive is shared with teammates like dictator, paladin and kid shield titan

all affected teammates by viking overdrive will shoot no more than twice as fast instead of the one annoying weak aimed kid spamming everywhere massacring everything instantly with 6x damage and 3x stunlocking impact force

take away little timmy's instant win handicap button and make it less affective to use without teammates

this change would make siege mode more interesting and not just a bunch of kid shields and status effect campers on the sidelines

make juggernaut mode more of a team effort and not just a bunch of mouth breathing 10 year olds all using viking booster drone trying to solo kill a full health juggernaut with overdrive in less than 3 seconds

the least you could do is turn off critical damage while viking overdrive is active

Since the hornet and hopper have the same speed now as wasp, there is a need to compensate a bit. I suggest that wasp's bomb is so powerful that it can detonate mines near it. This will give wasp a new role in battles to clear path for the other hulls.

Lol, not sure if this would be a good idea or not but it would be funny to see ? !

I think this probably would work out well, although the radius for which it clears mines probably shouldn't be the entire radius of Wasp's explosion? Maybe slightly less, just as the radius of the status effect for AP/EMP Gauss is less than the full damage radius. Otherwise, with the fast rate of recharge on Wasp's bomb it could perhaps nerf drones such as Saboteur a bit too much. But I think with the right balancing, this could be a great idea.

Why wasp? Why not let hunter have that ability? 

Wasp deals direct damage as well as inflict burn, stun, EMP, and jam status effects.

 

Hunter should get the ability to make mines disappear to make it different from wasp.

Good point ? I feel like Hunter needs a slight buff in the current meta, since stun lost the ability to drop flags/balls, and it has also been unusable in one particular mode ever since Juggernaut gained immunity to all status effects. Time for a slight buff in some way to Hunter IMO - and a lot of people now want a nerf to mines - so this would kill two birds with one stone.

Hunter deals an electromagnetic pulse. Mines are TNT or dynamite and are not affected by electricity. A huge bomb can set mines because of the air pressure. That's the physics logic.

Now let's talk gameplay. Hornet and Hopper both were inferior to Wasp regarding speed. Wasp was a fast and sneaky hull that relied on speed. Now both Hornet and Hopper were buffed to have the same speed. So Wasp's role is somehow uncertain now. Its bomb is deactivated by hunter pulse, by titan dome and even by another wasp's bomb. So having wasp's bomb detonate mines will give it a new and exciting role in the battlefield. Hunter's OD is well balanced

You can buff hunter's OD by changing the time to activate the pulse. I believe it is now 1.1 seconds, so making it 0.9 seconds will be a big buff.
