Hopper - the new hull

Just one question about this new Hopper hull, do you think she should miss the flight overdrive?

What do you think about the noobs who use this hull at events to steal gold boxes?

Please vote, I would like to know everyone's opinion.

I voted Yes, but I know that since this thing is already here the only thing we can at least hope for is it getting nerfed. 

What I want nerfed is it’s overdrive. Otherwise I’m ok with it.

One thing I can say for sure is that the hull isn't going anywhere, regardless of how many people are in favour of it getting removed. The most that can happen is the hull getting changed or nerfed somehow, which is actually quite likely given the dynamic nature of game balance.

This hull was clearly implemented with the full intention of making it THE gold-hunting hull. At this point the only thing I can say is if gold boxes are important to you, then use Hopper in battles, just like how you would use Dictator previously for the same purpose. As for the other aspects of its overdrive, I agree that there are quite a few situations besides gold boxes where the combination of EMP, burning and jumping is quite overpowered. The jump mechanic won't be removed completely (since Hopper is literally defined by it), but you are welcome to suggest specific ways to nerf it.

Make it slower during a jump.  Or make the jump unaffected by SB.   It's unstoppable in capping situations.

Yeah, a slower ascent and descent will be quite an interesting change, I reckon. It will allow Hopper to clear much larger gaps, but it will also make timing more difficult, and make it more vulnerable to enemy fire while in the air. And if you make its descent slower than the rate of boxes dropping, imagine how frustrating it would be if you jump up to catch a container, overshoot, and helplessly descend above the box, watching someone below you take it.

Possibly, though I think it will make the mechanic less fun. If a nerf is in order, then the trick is to reduce its power without reducing the fun aspect. This applies to any kind of nerf, not just Hopper.

hopper is especially good at capping flags and delivering rugby balls. But, the best game mode for hopper Is assault because you can either cap flags by jumping  or instantly stun attacking enemies. 

I think hopper should get the following nerf

it shouldn't stun the enemy turret. Stun only their hulls.

hopper stun should not make enemy drop their flag ( especially in assault mode ).

I think that would balance it.

You are only addressing the defense side.  They still cap "at will" - especially in smaller maps like sandbox.

Well, this is embarrassing. I meant that Hopper's OD should be nerfed by giving it a delay similar to Hunter. It's my fault, I should have been more specific in my original post.

Hey gold!!, im 50/50 i like the od its just that it gives such an unfare advantage in getting golds. So i guess i cant really say.

I tired to correct some logical scandals here..

First, when we talk about some OP OD it's not logical to say Oh Ok what your teammates doing during the battle... Nope as the teammate all of the time ready to kill this jumping hull without being in fight with any other of the other teammate.... why they not be like the hunter capping the flag by their self not jumping suddenly to the flag..

And when someone says the players will hunt them during the gold time... Ok? what you want me to do? it's the same logic when someone says Railgun is UP because the players using high protections against it, what that mean? nothing. Players behavior it's not the game's responsibilities or the game should take it into account... Nope, they try to balanced every turret and the players do like what they want to do

Also when someone said it's effective and powerful, lol this is more funny than reply to it. Yes, we all know it's strong and powerful so we ask for nerf.

If they add more underground goldbox or do more meteorite that would balance the odd. Anyway if you can see that he has its OD ready, kill it right after the siren, it is unlikely that it will make it on time to the GB drop again. It can't compete with only its pushing power against other hulls.
