This is the main topic to share ideas for turret and hull alterations.

Feel free to post ideas for new alterations as well as suggest changes to existing ones.

Best ideas will be reported to developers for further consideration ?

To make it easier for everyone to understand your ideas, please use the following format:

Tell the turret and modification for which this alteration would be made, name the alteration (optional). Then explain how the alteration will affect the turret's gameplay and change its parameters. List the advantages and disadvantages - each alteration needs to have at least one of each.

I spent the last hour thinking about my ideas for the new alterations of turrets.

 

In my oppinion this is how it should work:

 

M0:
All M0 Turrets should have 3 changes that change what colour the projectile is. Example: Firebird, you would have 3 options to select a colour, Yellow, Orange or Deep Red. (As well as the standard colour)
This would be the same for all turrets and guns like Smoky or Thunder would get incendiary rounds.

 

M1:
All turrets would get an additional 4 options for power changes. M0 colour changes would still be available but under a different section to make it possible to equip both a colour change and power change at the same time. A power change would be how the developers have suggested, and it would have a name.

 

Example:

(Disclaimer: I did not look at the statistics of hammer, so this example may be really bad)
"Magnum" (Available for Hammer M1)

 

Positive attributes:
Increases Damage by +20

 

Negative attributes:
Increases reload by 0.75
Decreases turret turning speed by 0.9

 

 

The power level of these Alterations would not change when the turret is Micro-Upgraded. Instead any level of Hammer M1 would be effected by the same damage amount per alteration. So if your hammer did 50 damage per shot regularly, with "Magnum" it would then do 70 damage per shot. If your Hammer did 55 damage per shot,p regularly. With "Magnum" it would do 75 damage per shot.

 

Each turret at M1 would have 4 different alterations available (that does not include the standard power level) and would also have the 3 M0 colour changes added (but under a different section so you can have both at the same time)

 

Recap: M0 has 3 different colour alteration choices in which you can have one equipped at a time, and M1 would have an extra 4 power alterations where you can have one power alteration and one colour alteration equipped at a time. Each power alteration has a name, example for hammer:
Magnum
Shooter
Speeder
Slug

 

M2:
This would add an extra 5 power changes to the existing 4, making 9 in total (but you can only have one at a time) This power changes would be a little more drastic, such as:

 

 


"No Smoking" (M2 Alteration for Smoky)

 

Positive attributes:
Increased damage: +30
Increased Critical damage: +29

 

Negative attributes:
Increased Reload time: +1.2 seconds
Decreased critical change: -7.5%
Decreased turret turning speed -1.5

 

 

M3:
The developer have said they are keeping these alterations a secret. I think they should add 5 of these "Secret" alterations and 1 mega alteration that does something crazy, like:

 

 


"Rapid" (M3 alteration for Smoky)

 

Positive attributes:
Decreased reload time: -1 second (So at M4 it would take 0.3 seconds to reload (Almost as fast as twins))

 

Negative attributes:
Decreased damage: -85%
Decreased impact force: -95%

 

 

I would also like to give you a few ideas on some alterations I would like to see in the game

No, I confirmed that the News section is more effective when you have ideas about an update that was added recently and is being discussed in the News section. All other ideas should be posted here.

The update is still in development and I'm certain that some, if not all, of your suggestions are already planned to be in it. I think we should wait for it to be released and only then post suggestions to improve the new feature. And keep in mind that if you want your feedback/suggestions about a new update to be heard, it's best to post them in the news topic when it gets posted, rather than in this section.

Tanki doesn't actually care if we like an update or not. If it makes money, why not? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I'd like to see this smoky alteration in the game:

 

Lower the crit chance drasticly to like 7% at each shot.

 

But make the critical damage insanely high, like a smoky m2 critical shot does like 180 dmg.

To balance this out, lower the base damage of smoky by about 8 - 10%

 

This makes smoky a high risk high reward weapon.

All alterations for M0 should be free. Also, hulls deserve alliterations too. For example, hornet. Increase the speed by 30% and lower the health by 20%. That could be one. Or Mammoth. Increase the strength but lower speed. Not fair that hulls don't have alterations. And another thing, when we press R or V we should be able to see which alterations people equip.

I wonder if we can make the m1 m2 and m3 alterations combine with the m0 alterations as long as the m0 alterations doesn't affect the m1 m2 and m3 alterations other than visual effects of the shots? or is this too OP? :D

I think you will be able to equip any combination of alterations.  Why would it be too OP, -alterations aren't necessarily "better" and the m0 one doesn't affect gameplay anyway.

I'd like an alteration for hammer which decreases the max damage of each pellet, increases the spread area, has a longer reloading time but has 4 shots instead of 3.

 

I always feel like Hammer would be better off with an even number of shots, but I suppose this is a debuff.

Isida alterations:

 

1. Magnetic Targeting:

 

The Isida will be able to support many beams within the cone angle. So, you can be attacking an enemy and healing a teammate at the same time, provided they are close together. Combine this with the alteration "Broadband Emitters" and it would be so powerful. You could theoretically cause damage to 5 players close together.  

 

The downside? The charge time is reduced by a sizeable amount/

 

2. Hyperfield Channeling.

 

The Isida will have a lock-on feature, where if the Isida STARTS firing at you within 20 meters (this example is for M4 isida), which is the max range, it will be able to follow you even if you back out of it's range, until 30 meters. This applies to healing and damage, but keep in mind the Isida cannot start firing until it is 20 meters or closers. So it's not the same as making the range 30 meters. Also, the charge time will be 2 seconds longer.

 

Downside? There will be a damage drop-off like firebird and freeze over range, instead of a flat damage per second no matter the range. In addition, the reload will be quite a bit longer.

If tanki online wants to be serious in north america they need to get their **** together and get good fps.  It doesn't matter what computer I use, or how fast it is, or how fast the internet is, fps consistently sucks. 

       I like this game and would like to play it more, but until they figure out how to make it run smoother, they won't be what they should be.

       I like this game and would like to play it more, but until they figure out how to make it run smoother, they won't be what they should be.

Consider buying a better computer with an upgraded graphics card.

 

Anyways, I want an alteration for vulcan so that it can increase time until overheating and slightly nerfing damage.

Supercooled laser - Railgun will freeze the enemy it hits

but charging speed is increased by 2 seconds

 

Plasma computing - Ricochet plasma balls will home in on enemies like missiles.

Range: +400%

Energy per shot: +400%

Damage: +150%

Recharge time: +400%

 

Thunder - tactical nuke

Range +100%

Reloading + 300%

Damage + 100%

Splash radius +100%
