Ricochet alts:

 

Upgraded bounce ability - M2

 

Allows Ricochet balls to bounce off enemy tanks (including self)

Decreases range And/or Increases reload time

 

Damage-Enhanced balls - M2

 

Increases Max and Min damage by 15-25%

Balls lose damage with every bounce

 

Isida alts:

 

Attack Nanobots - M2

 

Increases damage and slightly Improves range

Ability to heal is removed

 

Double emitters - M2

 

Adds ability to damage heal two tanks at one time (damaging while healing is also possible)

Halves damage while damaging/healing two tanks at once, Damage is also slightly reduced

 

Magnum alts

 

Precision shells - M1

 

Dramatically increases Max and Min damage

Reduces splash damage to near nil..AND limits charge up to only 50% power

 

Nuclear shells - M2

 

Increases damage, splash damage, and adds an after burn effect

Limits charge up to only 25% power

 

You can forget the last one  :P

Maybe allow Isida to increase damage instead of healing. This should be a M2-3 Alt which multiplies the damage of a friendly tank it's healing by X1.25-X1.50. However the healing effect is removed and the multiplied damage bonus also applies to enemies, so your basically killing him, while making him stronger  :ph34r:.

This should definitely have to be an M3 alteration. If all turrets got M3 alterations as situationally overpowered as this one, I think I'd like it.

Instead of healing, it buffs the damage of teammates by 50%

I disagree with this as this would make Smoky underpowered. And less powerful than twins. So you're basically adding another version of twins in the game. So it will maybe be Declined. And the fact that Smokies reload time would be that fast with damage reduced by 85%, and impact force 95%, nobody would like that as it is severely underpowered. So no one would use Smoky, and that would leave Smoky a "boring" turret. (It's already boring anyway soooo.....) eh....  :P  :P  :P  

  

I love the Magnum idea you have there. Even though Magnum would be slightly underpowered, but slight enough that you wouldn't notice it.  :ph34r: 

That idea is already being developed by the developers (does that sound right??) the ability to play Tanki on mobile devices!

That's going to severely overpower magnum. Which is just bad!  

You should have posted this in the "Ideas" section since you don't explain an alteration. You're just complaining about the Twins alteration, which in my opinion and many others opinions, is perfectly balanced and should stay that way.

Railgun High-Caliber Ammo Nerf

 

It's THE alteration. It's actually OP. Legit allows you to easily one-shot light hulls without DP and easily one-shot unsuspecting medium or heavies with DP. When was the last time I've seen a railgun without this alteration on?

 

Pretty much every alteration in the game sucks except for this one, and I don't see why the most favored turret in the game should have it. 

 

Not many people will support this nerf because practically everyone uses it. The stats itself don't look menacing but it's stupidly OP.

Light and medium hulls without protection or even 20%, forget about them, even heavy Hulls are in danger, leaving them with 3% health assuming that they don't have protection against your or very weak one.

Magnum can one shot multiple tanks in one blow, let's start with the most OP.

 

Then I think, for example, an increase of 20 percent reload time, should NOT mean a 20 percent increase in damage. i think it should be like this...

Magnum is OP. But this is a rail alt nerf thread.

i don't think railgun is OP , it is extremely powerful but not as powerful as let's say magnum or twins ?


maybe the alternation needs a slight nerf


I have dictator M3 and when i get shot by railgun M3s with alternation and double damage (of course) , they kill me with 2 shots , the first one takes about 90% of my health bar and the second shot kills me (even though i have 32% protection against it)


on a second thought , without the protection i am doomed , so yes it absolutely needs a nerf .

Railgun shouldn't be nerfed for the following reasons:

 

1. There are turrets that are more powerful than Railgun, this means that if you nerf Railgun without nerfing the OPs you are making Railguns very weak.

 

2. The majority of players have good protection against Railgun. You can say that it is because it's OP and that may be somewhat truth, but it could also be that it's a long range common weapon. They need to come up with a better module system.

well so many people have protection against thunder , good protection against railgun is as good as trash .if it does anything it gives you a few more seconds to run and save your life

no hull can stand a chance against an M2 railgun with the alteration (heavy hulls take 2 shots) 

 

let's compare it to thunder ?

  • thunder gets its damage halved over long distance ,railgun does not
  • protection against thunder reduces the damage down too much unlike railgun protection
  • thunder has self damage , railgun does not
  • the reload time of thunder and railgun is somewhat similar (3 thunder shots = 2 railgun shots)
  • don't tell me that thunder has splash damage , railgun has a piercing ability 
  • railgun's alteration is good , thunder's alterations are cr*p

the list goes on and on

The alteration is not balanced to the stock Railgun, but without the alteration Railgun is useless. And the fact that most have Railgun protection because of the unbalanced module system, Railgun is about balanced.

 

Maybe your problem is that you are encountering M3 Railguns with Micro Upgrades.

The alteration is not balanced to the stock Railgun, but without the alteration Railgun is useless. And the fact that most have Railgun protection because of the unbalanced module system, Railgun is about balanced.

 

Maybe your problem is that you are encountering M3 Railguns with Micro Upgrades.

nope , I'm encountering M2 railguns with micro upgrades , I don't normally play with lieutenant generals or above

Meh, I never use the alteration. Having faster reload and lower damage is much better, since every missed shot has a lower impact on your overall performance. The high caliber ammo is only good for getting kills in DM or if you have a daily mission for kills.
