Not sure what you mean and how this applies to fact that 10% vampirism was anything but OP.

 

And pretty sure there are "5-year-olds" using many of the turrets.

 

For the record - I'm not advocating bringing back 50%. I'm just saying Devs made a weak attempt (at best) to tweak that % to a functional number. 50% too much? "Well lets nerf it completely to 10% and see how that goes..." Makes no sense.

I am not focusing on the 10%, 50%, or anything. The message I want to convey is that while having seriously disproportionate teams, the Overdrives of the enemies gets recharged quickly (due to killing those noobs) and of course, they use it collectively to smash us down. Now that maybe a big disadvantage, but I manage to get 3 stars out of the battle. However, if those drugger Isidas become self-healing, it would become next to impossible to kill them. And I have seen for a fact that 5-year-olds are at higher ranks too.

In the situation you describe, you think it's any less brutal to be facing an up-jumped Twins/Titan?

Titan Twins can have problems with getting close to the enemies because it is too slow. If the campers play well, they simply do not let those heavy hulls get into short range. I use Titan Smoky so I do not need to get into short range, I can snipe and I like to snipe.

I don't think you were paying attention to the details of the situation described in the post I was replying to.

 

But let's make it Hunter-Twins.  Same result.

I'm saying it would be bad no matter what combo is equipped.  Has nothing to do with Isida.

Including Isida. Making Isida OP would not help in any way, and most probably make matters worse.

It seemed like you were saying Isida (with even moderate vampirism) would be OP because it could spawn-kill enemies.

I countered that the isida isn't OP because it can spawn-kill - since any combo can spawn-kill under those circumstances.

 

Anyway - I'm not advocating for or against returning some kind of vampirism as an alt - my original point was 10% vampirism was not even close to being OP when they made that change.

I agree that it would make isida feel more unique again, and the gameplay would definitely be interesting. Fire and freeze will no longer have special advantages over it, since vampirism actually used to be one of its main features and teammate healing wasn't focused on that much.

 

However, I stress that if this was to be added again someday, it must be adjusted to not allow isida to become super powerful like before. Since we now have a variety of drones and upcoming overdrives, which weren't in the game a few years ago, balancing the self-healing will be a lot more difficult.

IF - big IF - they ever add back vampirism it won't be close to 50% which made it way too strong.  Maybe 25% or even 20%.

 

And because it is an alt and gains something - it also has to give up something.  Maybe DPS.  Maybe reload.  Maybe a combo...

 

But - TO has struggled to have have good balance with many of the Alts - so who knows...

 I think that Smoky's alteration should be such that there is a reduction of impact force to compensate for this.

Auto cannon is the new brick turret.

I just fought today against an incredibly annoying player who used that auto Smoky just like Twins. When he did not fight against anyone, he was just randomly shooting anywhere and it is very annoying to hear Smoky sound every 0,5 sec.

 

Now imagine a battle with 4 auto Smokies and all of them would constantly shoot. 8 Smoky shots per second. I would have to turn off the sound!

 

If you want to nerf auto Smoky, make it less loud compared to other types of Smoky.

Hey - it's a little more classy.  So make that a gold ingot. ;)

Not really, if anything, the auto cannon is a lot more annoying than twins because of the range, the criticals, and the instant hit.

Maybe they alteration could become a particle beamish weapon, hence reducing reload since you dont have to physically fit a shell into the gun but also completely removing impact.

But you Forgot the main thing. the Overheating is removed. if we didn't reduce anything, that alteration would be too OP. just imagine mammoth vulcan with isida support, which shoots like... 4ever. it never stops shooting. that's why we have to reduce something.

If the alteration has a Positive side, it Must have a Negative side too. what do you think about this? what could be the Negative side of "Thermal controller" alt?

By the way, "Low capacity batteries" doesn't deal more total damage, but due to the increased DPS, it's more effective for 1 VS 1 cases.

Don't forget that these are just Ideas and they might never be real!
