I have been playing HTML5 for a few months now, and I managed to get used to it. Yesterday I felt unhappy with my long range aim, so I decided to try out flash again to see if it makes any difference. I found that even though tank control and reflex shots on-the-move remained roughly the same, my accuracy with long range/precision shots improved incredibly, even though I didn't even take the time to get used to the old version. I could shoot precisely along walls instead of being frustrated by missing carefully aimed shots by a mile.

I can imagine how much worse HTML5 made me play 6v6 and even small maps (sometimes precision shots are useful there, too).

Question to everyone to whom this could apply: do you also feel like your aim is worse when using the new version?

Honestly, I feel more comfortable with aiming in HTML5 than Flash. Mainly because I get more fps and everything feels smoother.

If you think it's just XP/BP that's taken the hit, just take a look at how Shaft's scope was massacred for keyboard. It's near unusable now for the Flash players and actually encourages you to camp.

play 30 more battles, then deliver your verdict. I usually play like 50 battles before I make a judgement.

Can you elaborate on this? How has it been changed. I found html shaft to be more difficult to control, but havent played flash in ages.

In short, the horizontal aiming is slower than in Flash, while the vertical aiming tends to overshoot by a lot.

You can't do the "inertia" trick that @TheCongoSpider taught me in Flash by simply turning the turret even when scoping so that you enter scope with maximum rotation speed as it forces you to completely stop all motion when scoping in.

You click the up or down arrow once? Nope, it'll absolutely make sure you go from just above from what would have otherwise been a headshot, all the way just in front of the enemy tank.

The reticle still feels clunky and very uncomfortable to use.

Something about the FOV and the zoom still feels off.

Would you like to play with something that has this many disadvantages? I played for the whole summer of 2019 with Light Capacitors in Flash, consistently making shots that would even make the best XP/BP players in TO history whistle at that picture-perfect accuracy.

Now, I can barely hit a simple long-range shot, WHEN CAMPING.

I really don't know what to say regarding this matter anymore. I was one of the first to point out this issue when the HTML client made its debut a year ago, and it makes me sad, disappointed, angry that the equivalent of nothing has been done to address this.

I'm just exhausted. If they wanted me to switch to mouse so badly, fine. I just wish that they'd told us sooner that they had no intention to fix this, so that I wouldn't have to struggle as much as I am now.

It's a shame, is it not? The sole EN Shaft-only clan in TO history couldn't even survive a year before getting absolutely demolished...

I hope that they'll change their mind and decide to fix keyboard controls soon. If not, well...

so be it.

I first got the feeling, then tried testing how precisely I could aim along walls in both versions in a private map, on the move and poking

You're right, but my problem is that in a battle you need to base my claims on how I feel with my aim and I quickly forget exactly how I felt playing HTML5 after playing Flash and vice versa

HTML5 is more like a webpage than actual game.. Flash is a real game, HTML5 is a webpage with tanks simulator.. soo physics in HTML5 are horrible as it's such a webpage with simulator like Agar io or diep io
