From January 9 at 02:00 UTC to January 11 at 02:00 UTC:

• Bringing back a special mode to matchmaking. There's something special waiting for you in this mode, read about the details below.
• Format: Deathmatch
• Location: Three New Year’s maps

We understand how excited you are for such events, but we remind you: keep your distance from the drop zone! An evergreen beauty falling from the sky can hit your tank hard.

If you thought that that was all the celebrations you had to look forward to on this New Year's Eve, you are wrong!

DANGER! SNOWMAN ONSLAUGHT! ALL HANDS ON THE DECK!

 

From 9:00 UTC on January 9 till 21:00 UTC on January 11 on the New Year's maps snowmen will scatter. They will have a special paint and will hide in the special mode. Look for them in the battles and destroy them.

 

For the duration of the event, two special missions will appear in the game:

 

From 9:00 UTC on January 9 till 21:00 UTC on January 9

• Mission: Catch the snowman: Part 1
• Task: Destroy 1 tank wearing the «Snowman» paint in the festive «DM» mode.
• Prize: 3 containers

 

From 9:00 UTC on January 10 till 21:00 UTC on January 10

• Mission: Catch the snowman: Part 2
• Task: Destroy 1 tank wearing the «Snowman» paint in the festive «DM» mode.
• Prize: 3 ultra containers

 

In order for the mission to count, you must find a snowman and destroy it. You can take part in the mission on both days because the mission will appear twice, on both days of the event.

 

New Year’s look

 

Of course, it is impossible to imagine the New Year and Christmas without themed, festive decorations and bright lights.

The festive atmosphere will reign in every corner!

 

• Mines will turn into cookies (gingerbread cookies, be careful).

• The “Holiday” paint gets its New Year's look.

• The gold box will be a nice New Year's present. To make sure you find it right away, the drop zone will also be coloured.

• The billboards on all the maps will also be updated, and with them, the parachutes on all the drop boxes.

Despite all the questionable updates Tanki has had this year, I must say the 2020 Christmas event is the best Christmas/end of year event Tanki has done "ever".

The 2015-2016 and 2016-2017 event where the best so far (for me). I began to play in january 2015, so idk how where the event back in 2009-2014.
