completed Q&A section improvements

Moderators are doing a great job with archiving questions, however, i feel that they get closed too early now. I had some usefull answers that i could say for a question, but it was already close. If it's possible, add a function that closes the question after x hours. For exampley there is a question with one answer, so a moderator goes there and activates this, so for example, this question will be closed 24 hours after the moderator came there, so more people can write down their answers, and the more answers, the better the person who asked can understand the situation. If it's not possible to do this, then just close the questions 1-2 days after it was asked.

For an example, watch this topic. It was only open for 1 hour, and i think i could provide a better answer.

We close topics in the Q&A section as soon as the OP reacts (which is a way to tell us he/she got the answer they were looking for). We do it for 2 reasons;

1. When we keep a topic open for too long, it turns into a discussion which is against the rules of the Q&A section.

2. Players reply with an answer which was posted before, which is against the rules too.

That's true, but i often feel that I have better answer for a question, but the topic was already closed. I hope that it will be possible to find a solition that can solve both problems, so everyone who has a better answer can comment, but it won't turn into a discossion.

This is what I do if the question gets closed too early: simply send a PM to whoever asked the question...

Yeah, I fully agree with mjmj, I had once put an question asking is the referral code thing working, The answer i got was "Yes, It is", but before I say it doesnt works actually ya actually closed the question. (A new topic was made for the same reason and even he told that its not working, so its not a glitch from my end). So I agree there should be a button from which the question owner can close the topic or there can be a automatic timer set like every question will be closed after 24 hours so that one doesnt gets a incomplete answer like I did... (Also I clarify I did no signal that I have got my answer, According to what I remember Emil answered it (It was 1 or 2 months before so he wasnt mod), and I was going to reply it is not working, And Spy closed it before I reply..)

Many people can be interested in that question, so it would be better if you can reply publically.

Um yeah...

If I feel a question should've remained open a bit longer, I could always send the mod a PM to open it again...

But it'll definitely save so much effort if questions were kept open longer.

I feel like if multiple players reply with the same answer, it gives further proof that the answer is correct, in case if someone replies with a wrong or misleading answer.

They literally remove any unrelated answer, strictly to make this section is merely for pure questions and direct answers. Any unrelated or createviely answer get removed.

As we are not in a game forums? as this is should to take completely seriously as someone asking for Medical consultation or a question to a doctor! calm down
