Skin looks nice, but I'll miss insta-Smoky

(I have 1583 hours on it)

Maybe Smokonuts won't be a huge nerf, but I'm not optimistic

haha, poor smoky cursed like Thunder now.

long-rang critical hit is is completely nerfed now because of the shell speed added.

They took away the essence of what made Smoky unique. Railgun is now the only unique turret with its penetration. Shaft should have the same type of penetration as well. Or are they biased with railgun?

Changes to turrets/hulls may happen at any time and usually the developers do not give compensation to players. However, it's not a huge nerf, we should wait and see.

The essence of what makes smoky unique is the critical hit systems. Not the instant hit which is still available for railgun, shaft and Gauss secondary mode.

I do like this new V-Log series with the new format, but I would be more happy and pleased if V-Log makers added back the same old legacy V-Log intro music they we were used to hear at the first 15 seconds of the V-Log's introduction. For example, like on V-Log 100: (9) Tanki Online V-LOG: Episode 100 - YouTube

I miss that good musical intro so much. Please add it back.

No news on fixing Matchmaker rank-spreads?  You know - when a player ends up against enemies 8 or even 10 ranks above?   DURING PEAK HOURS no less...

Couple weeks ago I had a WO 4 account in a battle with legends. During off-peak, but still, c'mon!

I'm seeing barely more than 10,000 players even at peak--or am I wrong? They just have no players any more. And it's their fault.

You are not wrong.  They have lost a lot of players, and keep implementing ideas that generate $ short-term but keep hurting them long-term.

Wish Smoky HD resembled the design of the current skin more. Hornet HD was quite faithful to the original, why take creative liberties with Smoky?

I'm glad the graphics designers got the Smoky HD right. The Smoky ejects a shell after a shot, and although he shell usually doesn't get ejected OUT of the turret, at least it is the shell and not the whole round. I noticed a lot of people who completely ignorant of how a firearm works think that the whole round gets shot, not the tip only.

As a Smoky main these are my thoughts on the addition of a projectile.

If the intent is to nerf stock Smoky, I think this intent is misguided. While I think that Smoky is one of the better turrets in the game, there are turrets which are far more deserving of nerfs (Gauss). I really do not think it is necessary to make it less effective right now.

However, the main target of this change seems to be Autocannon. This augment currently is simply OP and its damage output is the same at both short and long ranges. With the introduction of a projectile, Autocannon's effectiveness at range will likely be significantly decreased, since the players who use it will actually have to aim in order to hit enough shots to get crits at a decent rate (instead of driving around with bricks on their keyboards). While I do not think this change is the best solution, I nonetheless do support a nerf to Autocannon even if it comes at the cost of a slight nerf to stock.

By the way, I simply cannot agree with the "best combos" list featured in the video of the week . . . Freeze Viking as the most effective combo in the game? Seriously?
