I have never seen such chaos in tanki before.

After this event, I take back all I have said about hopper. I've had enough.

Hopper is absolutely broken in gold catching, and you devs should not even try to somewhat rebuke this claim.

just go play this event and see for yourself.

Hopper's jump is just absolutely broken. It allows you to take golds before anyone else has a chance.

To make things worse, It would stun your opponents. that gives normal, non jumping tanks no chance at all.

What is so evil about this hull is that it gives you so much leverage over your opponents, your opponents NEED to use hopper.

what do you get? AN ENTIRE SERVER OF HOPPERS!

and what if your not a hopper? 

no gold for you.

This is what is so evil. you need to be a hopper to catch golds. IS THAT BALANCING?

everyone should have a chance at the gold box. this would give creative tankers and parkourists the time to showcase theirs skills.

it is so stupid that a hopper can just press "shift", and instantly, it gets to the gold, way before everyone else.

I really don't care a tiny bit about the 1000 crystals, but the devs made it a challenge!

how stupid is that? forcing everyone to use hopper in a stupid battle for 7 ultras? 

don't even bother making a gold event in the future. It is broken, tanki golds are broken, golds are just unfair.

There is no solution to this problem, as golds show up in MM battles,

but put a standard setup that is NOT hopper in the event the next time for gods sake.

Well, yeah? I'm pretty sure that's exactly what devs were going for when they added the hull. There was always one or two hulls which were superior for taking golds. Before the Rebalance it was Mammoth, then Dictator (for a long time), then Mammoth again, then Titan, and now it's Hopper. Except this time Hopper was specifically added as a gold hunting hull, so the meta is simple: you want to take golds during gold events — you buy and use Hopper.

Yes, special battles are full of Hoppers, and it seems like that was the goal.

Yip. The goal was to bleed as many players as they could, and line their devious low life pockets.

I seriously hope players start to decline because of the constant OP updates the devs bring in soley for cash.

They are a disgrace, and basically have no moral compass whatsoever.

Devs don't care, never have, never will.

I actually agree with this. Doesn't make sense to have just one hull that's incredibly good at catching golds. I think the best situation was right before Hopper got added, because that's when both Mammoth and Titan already got nerfed, so all hulls had a decent chance of taking the gold. Wasp and Mammoth could clear the area with their huge damage, Hornet and Viking could quickly destroy enemy tanks, Dictator and Hunter immobilised enemies, Titan protected itself. But with Hopper all those abilities became irrelevant in the context of gold catching.

That being said, I think Hopper's OD itself is very interesting and has potential to be balanced in normal MM, but it's arguably already balanced in non-capture modes (TDM, CP, JGR, SGE). However, I don't see how it can be nerfed in gold events without completely destroying its main feature, which is the leap. I can tell you right away that devs won't be reducing the leap height, as that would be considered an "unfun" way to nerf it. But things like status effects and recharge times can be adjusted.

LOL I use hopper but I don't like using drones period.. I don't like to rely on drones to win or help me catch golds. I can just hover over them without jumping. XD I don't know why people are complaining about hopper jumping WHEN It can climb on walls on the edge of the map LOL. @At_Shin

I tried doing that too, targeting hoppers with hornet and gauss emp. Fun at first but makes one look like a jerk so for this event I just gave up. 

I was tempted to join 'em too but I don't like using hovering hulls.
