Show Magnum Projectile Trajectory on PC

Recommended Posts

Hello! I noticed that on TO mobile, you can see the trajectory of your projectile while charging up your shot with Magnum.

I'd like to suggest that this be implemented into the PC version also, as it's so difficult to know where your shot will land without this, especially when your target(s) are above or below you, or very far away.

Thanks for reading.

in my opinion it would only make the turret way easier to use, it already deals massive damage and it's overpowered.

Now i understad how i get hit so perfectly when i'm on the other side of the map, that's basically cheating, mobile users get everything easier, lol

That's a no from me

Because mobile is fundamentally hard to use. Even with all the advantages we have over PC players, there are just as many if not more disadvantages.

so that's how they manage to hit you so perfectly even when you are on the other side of the map... absurd. That is almost cheating in itself... we dont need it on PC as well.

I like the aiming guide they put for mobile magnum players. I think they should add it into pc version as an option. But if its turned on, it should work as an indicator for the enemies so they know where it'll land.

That would be nice to have!

New players will be able to use and like Magnum even more.

Plus, I like using the Harpoon Augment for a nice angled and horizontal launch on enemies without it going to into the air.

If we can see the projectile trajectory, then it will allow more players like me to use the vertical launches in Battles!

I really don't like this suggestion, because Magnum is one of the few things in the game that requires skill to use and to master. If you do this, it will be too easy to use - and not only that, but it will probably need to be nerfed as a result since the average player will be able to perform much better with it. Additionally, Magnum has an aiming guide on mobile because it is harder to use on mobile - if you give this to PC players also it will remove the advantage mobile players have with Magnum, and make it too hard for them to compete with PC players who have the advantage of a superior control system with mouse and keyboard.

Making things easier is not always better. Things that are hard (like learning to use a difficult turret like Magnum) is rewarding in the long term and helps to distinguish good players from bad, and rewards skill. If you want to do well with Magnum, get more practice with it until you can regularly land shots like those that have put in the effort to learn to do so. Adding the mobile aiming system for Magnum is unnecessary and bad for multiple reasons, though I understand why it might seem like a good idea at first.

Why would this be important?

Actually, if a mobile player was using a hovering hull, they'd do just as well as a pc player. Hovering hulls are a game changer in the mobile world.

Seems like an unnecessary restriction, doesn't it? Why can't I use Dictator?

Because it is much more satisfying to win in games through being a good player, and having practiced and mastered something - rather than winning through getting a strong character through time spent or money spent, for example. If something is easy to learn, as a rule, it will become boring fast. If a turret is so easy to use that there is very little difference between a totally unskilled player using it, and a top-tier player using it, then that is not going to be an interesting turret to play in the long-run - you will have nothing to learn and it will get very dull. Magnum is a good example of a turret that requires time and practice to master, and is rewarding when you finally do.

Tanki has few enough things which differentiate skill between players compared to many other games, and it certainly doesn't need those that it does have taken away.

Yes, not everything is good for mobile, for example, each fridays we have a big lag which make it barely possible to play, also, we can't see gears score of the team, what if we get matched we newbies, how can we know it? Moreover, we dont have things like radar on the screen and we have many bugs which are annoying like changing equipment (doesnt work at the moment, you need to wait 2 respawn to get it), crusader's icicles which desapear without reason, only in mobile... many bugs are mobile's exclusive so we need to have stuff like aim assist or shards rewarding to compensate.

knowing tanki itll be turned into p2w, like an augment or something what ull need to sell ur kidney for per shot.
the shell has weird gravity, but other than that its easy to hit. Do as it was done in rl. One too close, one too far etc.

Yeah, the biggest one is the limitation to two imputs, aka two fingers. Sometimes i want to lay a mine, shoot and move but i can't do that, for example. But i guess we need to live with this till costum HUD arrives.

I'm using the mobile version since it was released (yes, from the day of release), and i have no problem with driving any hull. I guess this is partly because of my bad controlling abilities on PC when i used to use it.

How is this even possible?

Actually with just a little bit of muscle memory and automated gunpowder loading mechanism augment, I can do practically the same thing.
