Fortnite has something similar called Fortnite Crew, it is some sort of a subscription which gives you in-game items for a cheaper price / for free as long as you pay for that subscription - I assume the idea for this pass was inspired by this and some other games which have similar passes.

It's getting to the point where I'm done with TO.  All the recent changes just seem designed to squeeze a few more $$ out before the last gasp.

Not interested in it anymore.

(Maybe we can pay Crystals to get the F2P Tankoins Pass.)

Yeaaaaaahhhh, NO

I don't care if it's 5000 tankcoins, 1000 tankcoins, or even 500 tankcoins.


The fourth slot should be 100% free because the cost of buying and upgrading a fourth protection module with crystals is already expensive enough to make up for it. 5 years ago, paints that offered 4 slots only costed like a few hundred thousand crystals.

That's even cheaper than buying and maxing out 4 modules today (albeit the paints couldn't grant four 50% protections at a time) but still, why should we also pay a fee of 5000 tankcoins?

Oh yeah and keep helping the buyers and one day this game will demolish.

Developers are systematically wiping out the last dredges of normal game play, in favour of these P2W only updates and these ? (special offers) ?

Using your logic, Tanki would not have survived long enough due to lack of revenue. Back then, bundles and so-called special offers didn't exist. Heck, even Premium accounts weren't around until 2015. I know because I was there when that happened.

Good question, but you'll never get the answer

I'm not bothered by buyers that much (or not having a fourth slot) because my attitude has always been "can't repel firepower of that magnitude, but let's see how many of them I can take with me" and I have spent a small amount of money on the game during the last three years (but it's less than 5 cents per hour because I've played for nearly 1750 hours; I like the game)

But the profitability angle is interesting because I've now reached the point where I'm reluctant to spend any more money on TO because of its ethics, or rather lack of them, and not because I don't want to

Bad move Alternativa, bad move. I am speaking this as ex-buyer that balancing items using paywall is not a solution.

So @Marcus  would adding some much needed balance to the game break your servers.

Balance and economy should easily be achievable. I do not doubt for 1 second that the developers could achieve this harmonious amalgamation between the two, and yet still maintain a healthy cash influx for the game. 

For a very, very long time now, all the developers have done is widen a already huge chasm between P2W and there F2P counterparts.

This imbalance between these two sets of players has got to decrease, are F2P will just play less and less as there would be no sense in continuing, just to get taken out with little effort by the maxed out everything abilities of players, who are able to afford to buy as many ultras as it it takes to unlock these very OTT new additions to their garage.

The game is unfair, unbalanced and far to expensive for most of the players that still log in and play on a regular basis.

This problem of imbalance takes place at every rank, not just the higher ranks. Although at legend rank the imbalance is far greater, it is however, more noticeable at the lower ranks for obvious reasons.

The developers are choking the life out of a great game, players will only stand for it for so long before they just simply quit. Surprisingly F2P are still abundant in this game, keep going down the P2W only route and F2P will dwindle in numbers and your player base will consist of P2W and the kids on their mobiles. 

The developers have got to seriously rethink their p2w strategy, are lose a lot of players that make this game what it is, enjoyable, which it no longer is for a lot of players.

It's not "overpowered" if everyone gets access to all modules for free. Everyone.

If everyone has it, than it's 100% balanced lol.

@antillis @Marcus Imagine if EA (Electronic Arts) released such blatant P2W updates in one of their games like Alternativa do on a regular basis. There would be a massive outcry and boycott of that game.

In fact, here's the most downvoted Reddit comment IN HISTORY (https://www.reddit.com/r/StarWarsBattlefront/comments/7cff0b/seriously_i_paid_80_to_have_vader_locked/dppum98/), by EA, regarding a situation in one of their games where a player didn't have all playable characters unlocked when he bought the game.

Guess what? EA changed their ways and removed ALL P2W gradually over many updates and now that same game has more than 9/10 ratings on Steam and elsewhere.

Alternativa have surpassed EA in greediness by selling bundles for $300 virtually every few weeks.

Well why are some dudes complaining that Falcon/Grizzly modules rendered Railgun/Thunder obsolete before Critical Damage update?

This Tankions golden pass is great. However, this marks a problem for me because I am not a buyer. If this event was a free event, then non-buyer players like me could take part in it. It would be very ideal if developers gave players Tankions when successful completing all the special missions.
