Not in the Legend Rank probably, because I'm guessing most people there "may" have a drone......

But in the low ranks, where much less people bother to buy drones, have high leveled drones, or have batteries or supplies to power the drones, than it is overpowered.


Basically, the buyers who buy the drones and max them out first will be EXTREMELY overpowered because their supplies would be working at full strength...

Meanwhile, those without drones, have high leveled drones, or don't have batteries or supplies to power the drones will be stuck with a crappy Boosted Armor that only granst 25% protection and Boosted Damage that only increases damage by 33%, not the full 100%. And the buyers or veterans who maxed their drones will have 50% protection and 100% extra damage, which is a HUGE difference.

well think it this way supplies nerf would indirectly balance out booster drone and other drones since you have to max them to get the original effect as before. the damage wouldn't get any higher, its just lowered stats and bringing it back up to base supply stats.

This update would be making it harder for the new players in the high ranks making this update for low ranks kinda useless, As you're indirectly forcing them to have maxed out drone to compete fairly on highranks especially with this fast-paced ranking system with double exp on events & beginer's pass 50% & premuim 50% experience bonus a low ranker can arrive to highranks quickly and won't be able to have enough crystals to focus on the combo & protections, Let it alone having a drone maxed out.
From my point of view this update will increase the quantity of campers in MM as the new players won't be able to max out a drone unless they spend money, Therefore their MM experience will get significantly harder.
e.g. As in modes that require players to do capturing tasks like on CP or Siege or Assault or CTF or Rugby people with no maxed out drones will isntead focus on camping as it'll be unfair for them to be in the middle of the crossfire as they'll be free kills to feast on by maxed out drone veterans that already been on high ranks for a long time, Thus making it very unpleasant experience for free2play playerbase.
Having in count that with this update brutus the most cheap drone to upgrade "Costs literally 750k cry on 50-50% upgrades discount" no longer depends on batteries to function and decreasing the boosted armor & damage efficiency in lower ranks is not enough as brutus has only one single effect which with this update is available to everybody with a maxed out drone, Which gives an advantage to people with other drones to have an EXTRA feature depending on which drone they're using.

this update be like boosting f2p players pain ?

I have 1 question how does this update fix ''Not depending on supplies'' thing?? The damage and armor effects which we used to get for free earlier, now we need to spend crystals on drones, their upgrades, and batteries to get the same effect... The game is now more dependent on supplies, the batteries and drones.... I barely used drones in battles but now equipping drone is a must.... What's worst is that I only used trickster drone and they ruined it too... I don't have so many speed boosts to waste... I need my drone's old mechanics back what I bought it for... If it was a nerf or a buff I would have agreed but changing a drone completely is so pathetic... and I had spent millions of crystals upgrading it... either please return me those crystals back or change it back to the way it was... Of course not many people will like this update of course except the moderators, and buyers...

Actually, for the problem of this update, there is a simple solution. Just implement rank limits for drones upgrade. Then the problem is not here anymore and this update will become a great update.

This is tanki telling me my 10k+ of each supply is useless since I dont have a drone. It was actually difficult to play the game without drones but still being the MVP in my team is not difficult. So now I have to pay 1 million plus crystal and wait for 3 months to upgrade fully just to experience the tanki which I have been playing all these days(and I have to spend for batteries).

Also if you both have double armor and double damage activated, you will do 0.75 * 1.33 the current common damage amount, which is 0.9975, which makes the enemy survive slightly longer in longer periods of time, although in smaller "chunks" of damage, this will be nearly non-existent.

 

Thank you once again for an interesting update, not just for us free-to-play players but also for the buyers in the game.

 Good hear this, great changes but I have one wish: Add some more augments on Gauss or HD skin for it. I like Gauss, most kills I have with this turret and it is good ratio between damage and reload, not as Magnum or Smoky Thanks a lot

Brutus drone (500K to upgrade) will not need batteries any more with this update, so that is what most players will have to buy and upgrade

But that still sucks; it means I have to postpone upgrading my other drone (which I didn't want to upgrade any more) until I've upgraded Brutus

I've never liked garage supplies (and have only just started using them a lot on only two of my accounts), but this isn't the way to nerf them

With the servers restart on April 30th an update will be released.

In this update, we will change the names and characteristics of supplies and drones as well as adding new augments.

 

Supplies

 

The first types of supplies appeared at the very beginning of the game - in 2009. 

They were very different from the current ones both in the way that they work and how they look. Nowadays, supplies help you to boost your tank, repair it, and allow your drones to work.

 

Just one problem remains - you often complain that the game is too dependent on supplies. We have decided to change the parameters of two types of supplies - "Double Armor" and "Double Damage".

 

Thus, for low ranks "Double Damage" and "Double Armor" will become weaker, which means that personal skills will be more important in a battle. By ranking up and upgrading drones, you gradually return the «Double Armor» and «Double Damage» effect to its previous form. 

 

Drones
 

Nowadays, drones have a passive bonus, increasing your armor and damage parameters.

With this update, instead of the previous passive bonus, drones will give you a bonus to boosted armor and boosted damage supplies.

If your drone is fully upgraded, you get double armor and double damage when boosted armor and boosted damage supplies are activated.

 

As for the «Brutus» drone that is currently giving this bonus, it will stop using batteries.

 

Check out other changes of the parameters of drones here:

 

How the numbers are going to change:

  • «Boosted armor» supply: decreasing incoming damage by 25%, common damage * 0.75 (previously it was decreasing damage by 50%).

  • «Boosted damage» supply: increasing outcoming damage by 33%, common damage * 1.33 (previously it was increasing damage by 100%).

  • In case your drone is 20/20 upgraded, «Boosted armor» is decreasing incoming damage by 50%, common damage * 0.5, and «Boosted damage» is increasing outcoming damage by 100%, common damage * 2.

  • In case your opponent activated boosted damage and you activated double armor, you get common damage * 0.75 * 1.33 = common damage. If you both have drones fully upgraded, you get common damage * 0.5 * 2 = common damage

 

As these supplies are not always doubling numbers we have renamed them to «Boosted Armor» and «Boosted Damage».

 

New augment

 

A novelty for Isida — the legendary augment giving you the new-old way of playing with this turret:

  • Vampire nanobots:

It will be impossible to effectively heal allies with this augment, but it becomes possible to heal yourself! Healing efficiency is low, but it will be possible to survive a moment longer in a close combat fight and win. Critical damage is removed.

 

You can get the new augment out of Ultra Containers which will be available in the Shop during May Holiday Celebrations.

Wrong assumption i think. It forces players to do (re-think) one specific thing one way or the other, do i spend money/do i not spend money.

Very simple deduction really, nothing to do with skill are campers etc, just plain old ?, from a developer stand point of course.
