Significantly decrease or remove Hornet's retention period

This particular aspect of Hornet has been a problem ever since its rework in September. That problem became much more bearable when its AP range was reduced, then became more of a problem again, in a different direction, with the introduction of Supercharge, and the continued buffing of critical damage within turrets and augments.

The action that I would like to decrease the frequency of with this nerf is internally storing Overdrive charge for future use. Here is a video showing an example. This is an old video, but still happens to this day, and much more comfortably with the addition of Supercharge.

Explanation of what happened:

This phenomenon occurs when a hull has a retention period, and no score penalty. What happens is that any score gained during the retention period of a hull is converted to Overdrive charge, and will be added to the counter when the retention period is over, i.e when the Overdrive fully discharges from 100% to 0% and starts passively charging. In the case that you die before the retention period is over, the charge you would have gotten is then added the next time you activate the Overdrive. As you can see in the video, this works across battles. I gained 20% Overdrive charge from the kill in Barda, which I was able to use in Cross.

This particular mechanic was most disgusting with Hopper before its nerfs. Hopper had the same retention period, if not slightly longer than Hornet's, and no score penalty. In modes such as RGB and ASL, where it jumps onto the point, captures and immediately dies, it was very evident. It also had afterburn to kill heavily injured tanks and stun keeping them in place, also adding to it. This phenomenon can be stopped in two ways; either by removing the retention period, or adding a score penalty equal to or longer than the retention period. Both of these were removed from Hopper, and that is no longer a problem there. This problem persists with Hornet...

...Hornet's retention appears to be 3 seconds in the video (it was like this since 2019, it may have been buffed recently), but numbers on the Wiki state that it is 4 seconds. Any score gained within this period is converted and stored of the Hornet dies. Supercharge, and now with turrets that have double critical damage such as Striker and Shaft, and others like Blunderbuss, can get kills easily when it activates its Overdrive and then dies.

Ideally I would like Hornet's retention period to be completely removed, though if that is too harsh, reduce it to 1.5 seconds. It will still have something to fall back on, and it will then be much harder to abuse by those conscious of the phenomenon.

With the absurd retention period out of the way, it can pave road for better balancing of this Overdrive, such as increasing the AP range to something acceptable, or maybe giving Jammer to nearby enemies, or perhaps increasing the passive or manual Overdrive charge rates.

So, you think thatvpossibly the worst OD in the game currently, should be nerfed because of a bug? What about fixing it?

Hm... how about with this? Combine it with your idea of either decreasing or stripping off its retention period?
