Doodle Champion Island Games! (Google)

If you haven't already noticed, there's a new Google doodle right now, and it looks like this:

 

Cool, isn't it?

If you've played Pokemon Fire Red (or anything similar), you'll immediately find this "doodle game" familiar. Well, it is a really fun game with a nice little story. As of now, the game doesn't seem to have an "end". 

Post your high-scores, experiences, doubts, suggestions, etc. here - let's discuss the Doodle Champion Island Games!

However, I request you all to make good use of spoilers, because we mustn't spoil the fun for others. High-scores can be posted just like that, but tiny tidbits that have the potential to spoil the story should ideally be posted in spoilers.

Hey @Venerable which team are you in? I'm having a hard time choosing lol. Also, are the champions bots or real life guys playing the game too?

I don't think the team really matters... the team you choose will always be on top of the leaderboard. I chose Red.

However, as you will be able to access only your own team's headquarters, choosing a different team would simply let you access a different part of the map (a rather small part, to be honest - just one building, the headquarters) and essentially lock you out of the other teams' headquarters. 

I believe the champions are bots - a Google doodle with actual players playing together simultaneously seems a bit too far-fetched.

@Venerable how do you cross the first part of the climbing contest? For some reason I never got to past it so quickly, always had to jump a lot of times to pass it. Takes up about 1/3 of the time...

It's all about timing, mate. And also a bit of luck... I don't remember the task exactly, but yes — it was quite time consuming...

It is the first one with two handholds for you to jump on, and then a platform on top. I keep jumping on the platform but it doesn't light up.

@Venerable if you can, try it out again on mobile. I reached almost the top, you know, where a revolving handhold is. By right, grabbing on the handhold and jumping should lead my to the very top gate, but i keep coming short of the gate, it's frustrating.

I think if you double tap and hold you jump higher, because when I do that I criss the first platform easily. But still it is annoying, so close, yet so farrr

Yeah there's some way to jump higher than usual, but I don't remember lol. Also, it isn't working for me on PC. I might try it out on mobile, but I probably won't get time.

I got all the scrolls, yay!

Then I went to the trophy master, where I got all trophies but one. I went there, and it said, don't trust the bird. The master asked me what I'm doing, and I told him about what was written, instead of saying nothing. Anyone knows what happens if I had said 'nothing?'

How about making this topic open for discussion of all doodle games? There are quite a few good ones out there!
