You can post it as a separate idea. Would be glad to have it as a separate one. ? I'd suggest you to remove the prizes section as we do not accept ideas regarding prizes.

A ranked system is a nice idea - many would be interested in such a thing, myself included - but sadly I don't think Tanki has the player numbers for this. As others have said, it would dilute matchmaking numbers - which already either increase queues, or make ranks spreads which are already too large even larger. Alternately, if we moved from the current matchmaking system to a "pure" ranked system it would turn a lot of players off, as it would make gameplay more stressful. Some would like it, others would not.

I think with the low playerbase Tanki currently has, maybe we could get away with a ranked temporary event for 1 or 2 weeks perhaps at most - but we don't have the numbers for a full, permanent ranked system I'm afraid. The closest thing we have for that are Esports tournaments. If somehow Tanki's playerbase increases to 50k or more during weekends - then maybe this kind of thing could be considered. But not before then.

I know that, I’m just giving examples, not literally speaking.

So first of all, I know, I know that many games have a league system. This is just an idea so don't go bashing me in the replies without any constructive criticism.

I know that Tanki has some problems right now like - Too many different types of augments, mm problems for some people, some overpowered augments like Electromagnetic Salvo but the biggest problem right now in my opinion is - No incentive to play the game. Sure you can tell me "Oh there is the battle pass to work on" So?

Even if you max out your tank and get every paint and skin there is no incentive to play, no way to prove to everyone and yourself that you are the better at the game than most people. Now someone might say "There is Esports"! Yes there is but I'm talking about the general people who play the game. A regular person who plays the game isn't trying to get into the Esports. It might be too much work for them and also Esports just isn't the same thing. Esports can also be too much pressure or competition for them. I know more than half of the people reading this (if they even are) have already gone to the replies and started shouting at me. For those of you that are still here this is my suggestion -

League system

Now I know many games have it but imo Tanki needs a League system or a Ranked system with some rewards ofc. This will make the general people who don't have much of an incentive to play the game play more and also the modes in this League or Ranked system can be with a really big twist. I don't want it to be just the regular game modes that we play. There can also be custom avatars and profile with some Limited items. Now one problem is what if a person gets to the last rank and has completed the whole league getting all this rewards? Well, that is for the player base to figure out. If you have any suggestions, please tell me below. For those of you that have read this whole thing, thank you so much. I actually took some time to think about this suggestion so please leave only constructive criticism and not unnecessary shouting. Have a good day :)

This idea is a bit of a radical one, and thus, I can definitely see this being declined, or not being implemented. I still wish to share this idea, as I think it can benefit the game a lot.

A brief note: I have not played this game in months, so please ignore my errors and mistakes with the mechanics of the game.

Currently, there are 36 ranks in the game, and you rank up by earning Experience points (EXP). With the current system, no matter how good you are mechanically, with some grinding, you can reach the highest rank pretty fast, and even faster if you have premium. My idea is essentially implementing the Elo system into Tanki Online where players have to win battles, which rewards them with elo (the amount depends on how well they did in the battle, but it will be roughly the same amount of EXP you earn, without premium, as of right now), and if players lose, they will lose a certain number of elo. Once a player reaches a certain amount of elo, they rank up. This gives players more motivation and incentive to win, and also punishes players for leaving mid-game (since leaving indirectly sabotages the team). There will also be two different types of game options for each battle mode, "casual" and "competitive". Note: The "competitive" mode will only be available for team based battle modes. Clicking the "PLAY" button or any other team based game mode button will then make you select whether you want "casual" or "competitive". In casual mode, you still earn crystals and stars, but winning/losing does not impact your rank. In competitive mode, winning/losing does impact your rank.

Please let me know if you have questions. Thank you.

RANKED SYSTEM just like FPS games (Let's take Valorant as the template)

1. The concept & Important principles:

o  Two teams of 6 players (number may vary depending on the demand).

o  All supposedly 12 players will get queued into the match where they get to VOTE for one out of 5 maps displayed. *This, or the map will be automatically chosen by the system*

o  Each player would be QUEUED-up dependning on its RANK & STAGE (see bellow), not depending on their Gear Score.

o  Every player in one team will get to choose A DIFFERENT turret and hull so there will be unique roles for every team member (eg:  Attacker, Healer, Support, Defender, Tank, Sentinel, etc.). The first player to pick a certain turret will lock it in and other allies could not pick it. FOR EXAMPLE:

   - TURRETS: There will be turrets available for different roles such as ATTACKER (Firebird, Hammer, Twins) || DEFENDER (Railgun, Smoky, Freeze) || Support (Ricochet, Shaft, Isida, Thunder), etc... Im not setteled for their roles, it might vary, its just a concept.

   - HULLS: Each hull being of different weight-category as follows (a maximum of 3 members of the same weight category and a minimum of one member of a certain category. For example, the hulls could be: 1 Light (Wasp), 3 Medium (Viking, Dictator, Paladin), 1  Heavy (Mammoth) | OR 2 light hulls, 2 medium, 2 heavy)

   - AUGMENTS: I am not sure weather they should be included, I am gliding towards theri exclusion but there could be EXCEPTIONS (ex: Healing Emitters for Shaft would be a substitution for Isida as team Healer)

   - DRONES: Each player would start the game with the Brutus Drone. The same as augments, their exclusion would be for the better so it would be as balanced as possible for each player. Just because people would abuse mines with Saboteur or damage with Camper drone as an attacker.

   - PROTECTION MODULES: There will be no protection modules.

   - SUPPLIES: Each plalyer would be able to activate thery supplies as normal

The lack of drones, protection modules and potentially augments would make team cooperation and coordination a CRUCIAL aspect, especially for delivering the flag.

o  IMPORTANT: Each turret and hull will be upgraded to the maximum level (MK7-20) so it is not unbalanced for newcomers.

2, The Game-Mode:

I suggest that the best one that fits is ASSAULT, with 2 HALVES as follows:

First team will be attacking for 7 minutes, and then at the 2nd half they will be defending for 7 minutes. The points they gathered while attacking (1st half) will add up with the points they gathered defending (2nd half).

The winner is the team with the most points at the end of the match.

3. Overdrives:

It will work the same as the Ults work on Valorant. Each flag delivered = 1 point (Each team member gets one point) & each flag-holding enemy destroyed = 1 point. (each team member gets one point).

- The number of points required for each OD varies depending of its strength. For example, 10 points required for Wasp OD, 15 points for Dictator OD and 20 points for Titan OD.

4. Ranking system & Rewards.

There will be 6 stages of ranks, with 3 rank-ups for each stage, from Recruit to Legend, from worst to best as follows.

1. Recruit - Sergeant - Sergeant Major ------------------------ 20 RP per Win & -5 RP per Loss (100 RP needed to Rank-up)

2. Warrant Officer 1 - Lieutenant - Captain --------------------- 25 RP per Win & -10 RP per Loss (200 RP needed to Rank-up)

3. Third Lieutenand - Second Lieutenant - Captain ------------ 30 RP per Win & -15 RP per Loss (300 RP needed to Rank-up)

4. Major - Colonel - Brigadier --------------------------------- 35 RP per Win & -20 RP per Loss (400 RP needed to Rank-up)

5. General - Marshal - Fieldmarshal --------------------------- 40 RP per Win & -25 RP per Loss (500 RP needed to Rank-up)

6. Commander- Generalissimo - Legend ---------------------- 45 RP per Win & -30 RP per Loss (600 RP needed to Rank-up)

*RP = Ranking Points. It might vary, its just a concept and the first version that came to my mind)

The rewards should be:

1st Stage =  1 Weekly Container per win and 15 Containers per Rank-up & 15 Ultra Containers per Stage Rank-up (reaching stage 2 from stage 1)

2nd Stage =  1 Weekly Container per win and 20 Containers per Rank-up & 20 Ultra Containers per Stage Rank-up (reaching stage 3 from stage 2)

3rd Stage =  1 Weekly Container per win and 20 Containers + 500 of each Supply per Rank-up & 20 Ultra Containers + 1000 Supplies per Stage Rank-up (reaching stage 4 from stage 3)

4th Stage =  1 Weekly Container per win and 15 Ultra Containers per Rank-up & 50 Ultra Containers per Stage Rank-up (reaching stage 5 from stage 4)

5th Stage =  2 Weekly Container per win and 15 Ultra Containers per Rank-up & 50 Ultra Containers per Stage Rank-up (reaching stage 6 from stage 5)

6th Stage =  2 Weekly Container per win and 20 Ultra Containers per Rank-up + 1 Skin Container after reaching Legend

These 6 stages would be aquired in the course of One Season. The seasoun should last 1 or 2 months.

The rewards are pretty generous, so the players are motivated to try and play this new game mode that would require more Skill and Cooperation between teammates.

5. Drawbacks:

- The main drawback would be players leaving early, for which you could implement a BOT (once their development is ready) or you could compensate the points gathered by delievering flags and the points gathered for OD (2 instead of one for each team member).

!!! Leaving a battle early would lead to a being suspeded for a certain TIME + a penalty of 10 RP (increasing each Stage).

- Another Drawback would be Queue Time, since there could be difficult to find 12 different players for each Rank and Stage.  (To solve this, the team number could be adjusted, as well as the number of the stages - to narrow the pool of players for each rank or stage).

As the title says above, I want to suggest adding a ranked mode to tanki, but with a few adjustments to normal ranked games.
1. For startes people can only starting playing ranked at a certain ranked like Marshal or so.
2. Certain game modes in ranked like, 2v2 Railgun, 2v2 random equipement, etc.
3. Ranked rewards, like at the end of the season special place for what rank you got.
4. Make it so that you can only play 4/5 games a day so that normal tanki mode won't die down.
5. Clan vs Clan, maybe when both teams are in a clan it will add to you're clan vs clan battle win ratio.

I know they said they won't add ranked mode, but I think it will help tanki come back again. If you have anything to add to my post feel free to comment it below.
Hope they will see it :).

If you do so, you are not allowed to play Ranked battles for the next few minutes and some level points will be deducted.

Just come across this topic. Already your idea fails miserably. Leaving battles is mostly down to the naff servers, lag, bugs, glitches, etc, etc.

Didn't bother reading the rest, seemed to much like hard work.

Players have other reasons for leaving. Many of which are also valid.

Its been nearly two years since I posted this comparison. Here it is again:

Its like a household. The players are the members, the developer team is the head of the household, the game is the house and or property, MM is the living room, pro battles is the separate bedrooms, and the lobby/chat is everywhere else in the house.

Well the lobby/chat and pro battles part is just random.

But anyway that's the layout of the game basically.

Situation #1:

The family wants to watch a movie but the TV doesn't work. Several members leave the living room and go to their own separate bedrooms. The head punishes them for leaving the living room. Is that really fair?

Situation #2:

The family is watching a movie. One of the members leaves the living room to go to the bathroom, get something to eat or drink, or checks for an important text. They come back and the head punishes them for leaving the living room. Is this really fair?

Situation #3:

A family member has had a long day of hard work and just wants to get comfortable but none of the couches or chairs are comfortable, so they go to their room to chill there. The head punishes them for leaving the living room. Is that fair?

One more:

A family member came to chill in the living room when their ceiling fan came crashing down on them and badly injuring them, they're dragged to the car or ambulance for medical care. When they come back, the head punishes them for leaving the living room. Is that really fair?

My point is, instead of punishing people for leaving the living room which makes no sense at all, wouldn't it be better to fix the problems that are in the living room? Same can be said for matchmaker.

I will never understand those who want to put a penalty on players just because they left the battle.

Say 6 augments are released, this container has only those 6. So if you get to this level and acquire this you are bound to get one of the Legendary Augments. So from the level of Master there are 3 levels and then GrandMaster level. So you get 4 special containers and you get 4 legendary augments/skins of what were released.

Personally, I think that this is a bit too much, and too many players could end up receiving a new legendary augment or skin, etc. It may be better to have two special containers for reaching the GrandMaster level, and the other two rewards could be a reward that is exclusive to the ranked mode, which would also be quite cool. However, I suppose it all depends on how hard it is to reach each of these levels. Overall, I completely agree and think this would be a great addition to Tanki.

How about adding two different difficulty modes for matchmaking

Some players have a hard time keeping up with other players who have broken augments so instead of letting players join battles with other players who have broken augments add a augment parameter this parameter will split the augments up into two categories Basic and Competitive this is were the two difficulties come in. If you want to use an augment in the basic mode for example you will need to have an augment that fits into that mode examples would be Adrenaline, Shock Freeze, Compact Fuel Tanks, Round Stabilization, etc.

BASIC: The basic difficulty allows you to join a battle with an augment that fits the basic difficulty. All Crystal Augments, Adrenaline Augments, and Status Effect Augments except Pulsar are allowed on this difficulty. This mode gives out 1x Crystals, 1x Experience Points, and 1x the amount of Stars you would normally get.

COMPETITIVE: The competitive difficulty allows you to join a battle with an augment that fits the competitive difficulty. All Legendary Augments, Exotic Augments, and Pulsar Augments are allowed on this difficulty. This mode also gives out 2x Crystals, 2x Experience, and 2x the amount stars you would normally get.
